I got BFP this morning six months to the day after my MC, only 12DPO but so happy. Please pray this one holds on!!!! I am due on June 1 according to OV calendars so have the pleasure of starting this thread.

Anyone else out there or am I the only mental person who tests this early?

and welcome and congrats, estt

fruitful · 22/09/2007 20:10

Woohooo Goingfor3! Just popped in to say congratulations!

nh101 · 23/09/2007 12:53

Laksa, thank you so much for your message, I remember you from Sept thread! Good luck with the baby when s/he finally decides to arrive!

Systemsaddict, I am also feeling very emotional, crying at everything, not sick though at all. I wasn't sick last time either, hope that's not an omen . I am sure it is not, I think morning sickness can sometimes hit more in the the sixth/seventh week. We have got AGES to go before then!!!

Estt - welcome! Mumsnet can be a fab source of support so hope it helps and you settle into your new home soon.

Oh, I'm sure it's not an omen nh101. I never threw up once with ds1 and only felt very slightly sick for a short while, about weeks 8-12, and that was a completely uncomplicated pregnancy. Easy to say, though - I am obsessively examining every little symptom to try and work out if it is a 'good sign', while the small vestige of my rational brain remaining tells me none of them mean anything and it's just a waiting game at the mo - but the days seem very long right now!!

goingfor3 · 23/09/2007 19:13

Thanks so much Awen, beller, scorpio1, fruitful and everyone else. I hope things are going well for all of you!

goingfor3 · 24/09/2007 10:05

Morning ladies,

How are you all doing today? I woke up with a sore throat and feel ery sorry for myself, dp said it's probably from snoring to loudly! I've been getting cramps but that happened last time too from stretching pains, I just need to realax and think happy thoughts.....

laughinglil · 24/09/2007 10:33

hey all can I join you. I had my BFP yesterday morning. I am so happy its unbeliveable. I have only been off the pill 2 months so I cannot quite believe it has happened so quickly.
I have 3yr old dt's. I am due on the 1st of June. Feeling a bit dizzy this morning.
Hope everyone is ok x

Estt · 24/09/2007 11:00

Hi everyone,

I woke up with energy this morning! Took DS out for a walk in the windy sunshine. Actually we mostly went cat chasing. He is obsessed.

Hope this energy lasts all day! (going to bed at 9pm last night seems to have helped a lot!) I am determined to get to bed by 10 throughout this pregnancy.

Congratulations laughlinlil!

systemsaddict - edd ?28th May (tbc), 1 ds 13 months

laughinglil edd June 1, 3YO twins
nh101 edd June 1, 1st baby, MC Mar 07

Welcome laughinglil! Congrats on the BFP, it is great isn't it? Wow, twins - I have been on Clomid so reckon I have a good chance of a multiple birth. If so , you can hold my hand throughout!

I have booked an early scan at the EPU for three weeks today (when I will be seven weeks exactly) They are scanning me early due to my miscarriage.

Other than that I am good, I kind of keep forgetting which is the best way I suppose. I don;t want to spend every day stressing over every ache and pain (difficult to do!)

Goingfor3 - The EPU nurse just told me that period-type pains are OK.

Can I ask if light cramping is normal....have had since last week, but post-mc, cramping makes me very nervous....

goingfor3 · 24/09/2007 11:40

Cramping is normal, it's your uterus stretching.
I keep feeling as if my vervix is being pinched which I've never had mith my other pregnancies, if it continues I will ring the epu.

sputnik · 24/09/2007 14:35

Hi everyone. I'm another one from june 07 wanting to wish you all luck. Can't believe a year has passed....
We all had a great time on the 07 antenatal thread and we're still going strong as a post-natal one. There's nothing like the company of others going through the same things you are

systemsaddict · 26/09/2007 07:31

Morning everyone! I am with you Estt, determined to get lots of sleep this time (last time I wanted to carry on as normal - this time I want to treat myself with kid gloves!) - so have been having a nap early evening - but have been scuppered by ds1 having ear and throat infection and waking up screaming in agony for an hour at 4am the past 3 nights ... poor little man!! Anyone got any ideas on how to help him while waiting for the Medised to kick in? Fortunately at the moment I seem to be thriving on the pg hormones and am coping fine, but worried I am going to suddenly crash. Dp is NOT coping fine (but then he has had lots of shocks in past few weeks poor thing )

sweetbean · 26/09/2007 08:30

Hi all just wanted to say congratulations to everyone xxxxx xxxxx

nh101 · 26/09/2007 10:43

Morning ladies! Well I am two days past the day my period was due so at least I have passed that milestone. No real symptoms yet except for a bit of backache and hunger!

I tried to be quite careful with what I ate last time (anxious that I didn't want to 'eat for two' and pile on 4st)

Well that didn't work out so this time I am stuffing my face!

OP posts:
nh101 · 26/09/2007 10:43

Sweetbean are you on the due in May thread? Shame!

OP posts:
Estt · 26/09/2007 11:00

Systemsaddict I sympathise! DS has had major cold last few days, snot everywhere! Up half the night until the medised kicks in. Only thing that seems to help is the comfort of his favorite bear and a cuddle with mummy.

So much for plenty of sleep! Like you I am taking a nap when possible.

Have to go to work today (only work 2 days a week) and pretend like everything is normal! I'm not tired! Don't want to tell them yet.

Quick poll: when are you going to tell people? I have told my family, and DH's family but thats it. Last time I had to tell people at about 10 weeks because I was throwing up every 5 minutes, and they all thought I was seriously ill!

systemsaddict · 26/09/2007 11:33

Congrats on the milestone nh101, that's an important one!!! I am the other way round with food - last time I lived on sweets, cakes and chocolate (and did put on lots ... more than 4 st I think ) ... was in maternity clothes until quite recently and just got back into my thin trousers last week, so this time plan to be much more careful!! But will see how I feel. I'm wanting to eat different things this time round anyway - Marmite on wholemeal toast rather than liquorice allsorts!

Estt, I won't tell work or family till the scan if I can get away with it - just to make sure all is well - though have told a couple of v. close female friends (including my best friend who had 1st baby Monday morning, yay!).

Just back from drs, looks like ds's eardrum perforated - 2nd time this yr - so antibiotics, but hopefully pain is now gone and we'll all sleep 2nite! Hope you get a better night tonight estt.

skibump · 26/09/2007 12:30

Hi everyone, can I join in? Think I'm due 13th June (v short cycle!)I have 18mth ds and had a m/c in June. Hey Goingfor3, I remember you from the Jan 08 thread, congratulations - hoping for better luck for both (all) of us this time

flosspot · 26/09/2007 12:43

Hello all- just been to the doctor to tell him I am pg. He congartulated me and told me to come back in five weeks when they will get the paperwork rolling. Friends had said that your first appoinment was a bit anti-climactic, but it wasn't what I was expecting at all. Did enjoy the look ofshock on his face when he asked if I'd done a test and I said "Yes- I've done 12!"

Planning on holding out on telling people for as long as possible, though doubt I will manage it, since I am so excited. Can't tell friends till we've told grandparents though (or indeed great-grandparents)......

systemsaddict · 26/09/2007 13:31

I'm not even bothering to go to the dr.s after last time, will start with midwife at about 9 weeks. Anticlimactic is the word! Last time I was so excited at 4 weeks and dr was SO matter-of-fact, despite the fact that I got ds through NHS infertility clinic so thought dr. would be as excited as I was! Was really disappointed!

LOL at 12 pregnancy tests - had to stop myself buying more in pharmacy today 'just to make sure' (will need that cash for extra nursery fees and bigger house, argh!)

congrats and welcome skibump!

flosspot · 26/09/2007 13:36

Random info: Have just worked out that baby will be due round about the time I had my mc this year!

goingfor3 · 26/09/2007 13:45

Congatulations skibump, happy to see you here, well wish we were still n the other one really.

flosspot - good to see you have come over here to join us. There are a few familiar faces now. Thsi baby is due around the same time my first miscarried baby was due and my last pregnancy was due the same time I miscarried my first. I try not to thonk about these things too much.

I have only told dp, my mum and a friend who has been trying since Jan like me and who also miscarried a few weeks before me. Fingers crossed she gets pregnant soon. My post is really depressing, I think I need to lighten up! I'm really tired and my boobs have suddenly got really sore and I'm so happy as it means my body is doing something!

flosspot · 26/09/2007 14:34

Here's to sore boobs, g43!

MrsMcJnr · 26/09/2007 15:56
