Looking fab @Bubble29 it's so nice seeing everyone's bumps 💜

Lilice · 18/06/2020 23:46

Wow @Bubble29 you look super fit! I think I would look like a whale if I were expecting twins!
@sianyflewog is your bump different from your first pregnancy? Mine is identical each time, just slightly bigger but same shape.

Lilice · 18/06/2020 23:48

@ShiningStarz I downloaded an app called pregnant woman story to take weekly photos and add the labels.

ShiningStarz · 18/06/2020 23:50

GreAt idea!! Wonder can I add the pics I'v already taken to the app!! I'll look into it, thanks xx

Lilice · 18/06/2020 23:56

@ShiningStarz yes you can 😉

Emmy2020 · 19/06/2020 05:50

Thanks @Sara7455 and @sianyflewog I’ll have a look at those too!
Haha I’m in pjs as soon as possible too! So much more comfortable 😁

MooseWL · 19/06/2020 07:43

26 weeks!

MooseWL · 19/06/2020 07:49

My app makes it so difficult to post pictures! But that's a morning picture! Not sure how a marrow baby is fitting in there. I'm tall so think it's elongated 🤔

sianyflewog · 19/06/2020 08:08

@Lilice My mum has claimed I look different from the beginning, (and called that it was a girl!) but I just think I was a stone heavier falling pregnant this time! 😂 I still get comments that it’s a “lovely neat bump”, and I was told I just look like I’m smuggling a football last week - so I think it’s the same, just bigger!

Have just had some chocolate raisins with my breakfast 🙈 I don’t even have a sweet tooth normally so this is crazy!

@Bubble29 I am absolutely full of admiration of you. Growing one baby is hard enough! You are looking amazing!

sianyflewog · 19/06/2020 08:08

Also feeling a little bit like a bad mum as I’ve only taken about 2 photos of this bump 😂

ShiningStarz · 19/06/2020 08:23

Awwww @MooseWL you look fab!! I was bigger than you pre bump!! Lol 🙈 I'd say your guess is right!! One day he or she will flip around and your bump will
Magically appear!!

ShiningStarz · 19/06/2020 08:25

For anyone who hasn't seen a midwife since 12 week appt, I would recommend you ring.
I got a call just yesterday to say I'm
A carrier for a type of anaemia and my partner needs checked too. They did the bloods at my 12 week and only rang me at 28 weeks!! I'm raging! Clearly it wasn't followed through and we've been told his bloods should have been done 3 months ago!!
Just make that call and ask is there anything outstanding in your notes!!! Covid has a lot to answer for 😡

MooseWL · 19/06/2020 08:38

@shiningstarz haha thank you. I wish my bump was bigger you all have lovely bumps and actually look pregnant 😂
I've got a midwife appointment today.
That's really bad that it was missed can't believe you've not seen anyone since 12 weeks!

OrDis · 19/06/2020 08:52

Heres my bump! This was yesterday so 26+3! I feel like it doesnt look like it’s grown that much in the last two weeks but it feels more uncomfortable for sure!!

Hello ladies. Hope you don't mind me joining! (1st) Baby due 19th September, London based. Very much feeling like I'm missing out on new mum groups as no face to face antenatal classes going ahead due to corvid. Hoping this thread might fill the void! Anyone confused or worried about birthing choices? Was adamant I wanted an epidural but now considering the birthing centre at the Whittington instead of the labour ward!! Am I mad!? Confused

MostlyAmbridgeandcoffee · 19/06/2020 09:03

@NMarks88 welcome ! Mmmm I’m a second time around so my own choices are a little different (probably going for planned C as ended in emergency C last time). But last time I was keen on trying for no epidural (and had friends who had wonderful birthing centre/pool experiences). But turns out my own pain threshold was lower than I thought and I was demanding the epidural early doors when it came to it !!!

MostlyAmbridgeandcoffee · 19/06/2020 09:04

Lovely bumps ladies ! Will send mind if brave enough shortly !

Lazydaisydaydream · 19/06/2020 09:06

@CNovittBolden I have the hairiest belly imaginable 😂. I think it's always hairy but looks more so when stretched out over a bump?

Will post a bump picture when I'm home later. Currently sat trying not to throw up halfway through my diabetes test Envy

Laura1348 · 19/06/2020 09:22

@NMarks88 I joined this group yesterday for the same reasons as you.
I've not even thought about birthing choices? (I'm1st time Mum due 5.9)

Has anyone used online antenatal classes? If so can you recommend any?
Thanks

All the bumps are looking lovely! Mine is hairy too- my husband has to use my 'flawless touch' on parts of mine! How embarrassing! 🙈🙈

WillowT · 19/06/2020 09:24

@NMarks88 welcome to the group! We have the same due date! I'm thinking of using the midwife led unit (it's right next door to the hospital labour ward so I feel safer if something goes wrong!) but I haven't done too much research. Hoping to discuss with my midwife at 28 wk app

Bubble29 · 19/06/2020 09:29

Mine is so hairy, hence the black and white picture 🤣
@Laura1348 @NMarks88 I highly recommend the positive birth company book or online course. I read the book and now working my way through the online course and I'm finding it so helpful and informative. It lays out all the options, asks a few questions and before you know it, it's clear with what type of birth you want and things you don't want.

I think I've been lucky with care so far. We are scanned ever 4 weeks, so I've been having my BP and urine checked regularly. Gutted all the multiples sessions are cancelled though.

Lilice · 19/06/2020 09:43

Welcome to all the new ladies!
@MooseWL @OrDis you look great!
I saw my midwife this week for my 25 week appointment and I was very surprised when she booked me in for a 28 week appointment as now I'm so used to seeing no one.
@Lazydaisydaydream hope the test goes well for you!

I'm not looking into birth courses yet, don't think I'll do any this time. What I know for sure is that I will go for the epidural if I have a back to back baby. Might try without if not. I'm trying not to think about it as my second baby was breech anyway so didn't matter in the end

Lilice · 19/06/2020 09:45

@sianyflewog I got the app for that reason, it forces me to take a weekly picture. I barely took any with my second, so needed something to motivate me this time.

Chanel05 · 19/06/2020 09:47

Thank you for all the recommendations ladies! I really feel like I need to get more sorted. I think my nesting is starting as I suddenly have the biggest desire to sort all the niggling bits in my house that I've had no problem with in the last four years since I bought it!

@Laura1348 I've been doing hypnobirthing as an online course in my area. It's a four part session and I had my third earlier this week and I am loving it. My NCT begins at the start of August.

Roxy8203 · 19/06/2020 09:51

@nmarks88 I'm hoping for a water birth in the birthing centre. I've also been doing the positive birth company course and feel a lot better about labour
