Hi everyone. Starting another thread!! Hoping we start having babies appear very soon!!

I had to have a shower this afternoon to cool down, it helped so much! I think this may be a daily occurrence whilst the weather is so warm.

Question... I realised I haven’t bought any baby hats. Do I need them even though it’s going to be so hot? The hospital has requested we bring certain items and they provide others but no mention of hats either way.

@uktosk I know in the UK they like them to wear hats as soon as they’re born, because even if it’s warm in the hospital, they’re obviously toasty warm inside you and then once they’re out they find it hard to regulate their temperature.
Are you seeing your doc/midwife anytime soon to confirm? I do think a lot of hospitals also provide them with little hats, so perhaps your hospital will do that?
We have one hat that came as part of a set with a vest/babygro which we’re bringing to the hospital and then a couple of sun hats for when she’s home.

Just getting ready for my appointment this morning, first one with a consultant but I get to have another scan and a chance to see baby and check everything is good and see if I'm anywhere close to labour 🤞Not so much looking forward to the 1.5hr wait every appointment seems to take now 😭

Officially June now! 💜 me and some of the other girls here are due on Friday 😬 though for me I doubt he will come by then!

@Kez437 I’m in the same boat, I have a growth scan and a consultant appointment today and I was there waiting for hours last time and it’s always boiling in there 😅🥵

I’m due 24th June so I hope my little one does come this month and doesn’t keep us hanging until July!

Morning all happy due month!! I'm 38+6.
Had absolutely no signs of labour no braxton Hicks or cramps. Only thing maybe was I felt a lot of pressure on my cervix yesterday but that's gone. Feel sick today and been the loo a few times already this morning (I'm normally like an every other day-er) just feel out of sorts. Baby being quiet too which never helps my anxiety!!
How are you all feeling? X

@ginfilledcats I'm similar to you in that I've had very few indications of anything yet. I've a bit more pressure today though so hoping that's a good sign. I've just hoovered and mopped to try and stay active but it was hard work, especially in this heat!

My sister said she didn't have any twinges or signs at all with her first. No BH or anything. Her waters went with a gush late in the evening on 39+5 and he was born vaginally around 5pm on 39+6. So I'm holding on to that little bit of hope now!

So excited it's due date month!! 😃😃

I've had no signs either, no BH and my bump is still fairly high so don't think she's even dropped yet!

I've done lots of house work this morning to keep active, then stopped for food and now need a nap 😂

It's so warm out today! I cut the grass yesterday figured it would probably be the last time I'd get too before she comes. I like doing it so dont let my DH!

39 weeks today!!

Also sat waiting for my last growth scan . Appointment was 20 mins ago & Roasting in here !

What are the room temperatures like where you are? I've been monitoring mine and can't get it below 24 degrees despite keeps all blinds and curtains closed, fans on, ice in front of fans etc. I'm so worried about what to do for the best with regards to what the baby sleeps in. What have you been doing? Any advice?x

I'm glad I'm not the only one still doing housework lol I feel like 1- it needs to be done and 2- might as well use it as a form of exercise. But definitely feeling more tired as I do it these days especially any bending down.
