@umabb I do the same at least once every single night. Usually if I put my arm around my belly she’ll start to move within a few minutes but sometimes she takes so long that by the time she moves I’m wide awake. Woke up so many times last night not only checking she was moving but also making sure she hadn’t gone back to breech 😂 this is going to be an anxiety filled month.

Something I’m grateful for today - that I got to the point that almost nothing fits anymore at the same time as the weather started getting hot so at least I’m not cold in my rolled up t-shirt and knickers 😂

So excited that it’s June tomorrow! We’ve already had three babies in May but it’s going to be officially baby month! (Even though I might well go over into July!)

Gosh @UKtoSK I thought we had it hot over here, you must be melting!

I've really struggled the last 2 days with hay fever, finally caved and spoke to the pharmacist and took some hay fever tablets to get a bit of relief 😩

@cornishbumpkin it was 26 degrees in NW England yesterday and friday too! Same forecast for today, tomorrow, and Tuesday as well. Absolutely boiling!

Cornishbumpkin · 31/05/2020 08:34

@APD1981 Shock I feel for you girls, think the sea breeze keeps it cooler down in the south west

APD1981 · 31/05/2020 08:39

I am by the coast here, too, and yesterday there was a breeze that helped but Friday was intense. We'll see what today brings but I expect I'll be down to my knickers again at some point. Haha!

umabb · 31/05/2020 09:39

@Busylizzie85 @SearchingTheSkies he usually taps/kick/stretches when I turn. There was once I had to tap him and he gave me some annoyed kicks back immediately. Today I had to get up had some cold coconut water and played some loud video - finally he was fully awake and gave me some big kicks - didn't feel he was happy with me waking him up 😂 then I went back to bed but of course he wouldn't stop moving since. The stress is getting too much can't wait to get him out 🤪

@UKtoSK where you are seems to have similar weather to Shanghai where almost everywhere is air conditioned in summer. Not sure if it's the same case in your city? My parents place has air conditioners in every room. The heatwaves are horrendous there.

UKtoSK · 31/05/2020 09:54

@Cornishbumpkin to be fair English houses are not designed for hot weather! We have air con at least. Seems like England has been having the nicest weather in years during this pandemic!

@umabb yeah thankful for air con. It gets so humid in July and August and 35+ degrees and it’s disgusting. Not looking forward to having a newborn in those conditions! Even with air con it’s hard to cope.

Rinoa · 31/05/2020 10:08

@APD1981 haha yes! I feel like having my belly out as much as I can is so comfortable lol I also find it hard to eat at the table, I feel like bump is quite high now especially when I sit, he loves to stretch right up when I'm eating . Think he's fighting for space in there 😂

NakeliP · 31/05/2020 14:07

Mine seems to have a two day rave up, leaving me exhausted, and then a quiet day. Maybe just me but I am so relieved for the quieter days for a bit of respite! I had my first night of pretty horrible cramps, tightness and stretches Friday night, coming in waves every half hour ish from about midnight to about 7am. Barely slept. I was dreading it again last night but slept well and baby taking the opportunity to snooze today so that's a relief! Anyone else experiencing similar? (37+4)

Also anyone else's bump grown exponentially over the last two weeks? Now worrying about being tape measured on Wednesday!

Also in a moo-moo or just knickers most days, naked at night with just a thin sheet. Popped a waterproof mattress on the bed now as suddenly worried about nakedness plus waters breaking or any other leakage!

BabyBird20 · 31/05/2020 16:46

@NakeliP mine is similar, will go through a few days where I swear he's just trying to pop out of my skin under my ribs with his stretching then suddenly I'll realise I haven't actually felt him for hours and get into a panic! Can usually poke him enough to make him move as his bum or legs are so close to the surface! Think he just be fed up with me prodding him!

Have had a weird day today of feeling completely exhausted and had belly aches and back ache all day. Don't think it's anything exciting though, was building furniture yesterday and may have over done it!! 😬😬

HaichMal · 31/05/2020 17:58

Another one here struggling with the heat. On a positive note, I may be the brownest I've ever been due to spending so much time sitting and crocheting in the garden while my boys play, but boy is it warm!

I'm on a short rotation of clothes now too but thank you for reminding me to check my dresses as I've completely ignoring them by accident. Desperately need to do some washing tomorrow though as I'm pretty much out of everything. Oops!
I am wearing clothes but only because I'm out in the garden so much and everyone else is. Wearing as little and as loose/light as possible though. But by evening my bra is off (if I've bothered to wear it) and I'm sat with my bump out as well. The fan is on all night every night too.

Lots happening here but no actually labour I don't think. My hicks and cramps keep going into regular 5 or 10 minute patterns, which can last hours before stopping. I've even had some which feel like proper contractions, including for about an hour this morning, but they haven't led to anything yet. I've often got back ache, cramp or pushing downwards pressure, I've had 2 bouts of diarrhoea and my nausea has increased the last few days as well and I'm getting fed up of having all these 'signs' and not going into labour yet. I really don't want weeks of this, but I'm kind of resigning myself to it as I've had similar with both my boys.

She's also started having lots of quieter periods, so the rest is nice but then I panic when I realise I haven't felt her much in the last few hours.

LillianFullStop · 31/05/2020 18:35

I'm having on and off Braxton Hicks and cramps and downward pressure in my bottom... but doesn't amount to anything.

Could do with a G&T in this weather!!!

LillianFullStop · 31/05/2020 18:40

My ELCS is tomorrow so my window of going into labour beforehand is pretty much closed! Dreading post natal stay Confused

Anyone due an ELCS or induction this week?

APD1981 · 31/05/2020 18:44

@Lillianfullstop best of luck tomorrow. Can't wait to hear your baby news. Enjoy those cuddles xx

umabb · 31/05/2020 18:58

@LillianFullStop best of luck!!

I've had a few hours having cramps lower belly too eased off after food just now too. Hopefully not long now...

Missgemini · 31/05/2020 19:11

@lillianfullstop good luck for tomorrow! Wow, it really is here!

I had the most horrendous night last night. Combo of worsening SPD and lots of baby pressure in my pelvis means changing positions in bed and getting in and out of bed are agony.
The pressure in my pelvis is becoming quite unbearable. I need to go into labour soon! I don't even have a single symptom of labour. Whyyyyyyyyyy. I am so over it now! Sorry about the rant!

BirdGarden · 31/05/2020 19:28

@LillianFullStop good luck tomorrow!

@HaichMal I'm the same, odd painful contractions but the pattern has never lasted more than a few hours and not got closer than 10 minutes apart. Been clearing out for weeks so long stopped thinking that's a sign of anything happening soon! Blush

BabyBird20 · 31/05/2020 19:44

@LillianFullStop so excited for you that this time tomorrow you'll be having baby cuddles!! I hope it all goes well, will be thinking of you 😊

SerBrienneOfHouseTarth · 31/05/2020 19:56

@LillianFullStop Good luck tomorrow. Remember where we are if you're needing company on postnatal xx

I ended up in the paddling pool yesterday as I was so hot! Figured it could double as a birthing pool Grin Needed a hand to get out though!

APD1981 · 31/05/2020 20:05

I just spent 20 mins in my hot tub. The air temp had cooled a bit so decided to have a quick dip. How I've missed being submerged in water. It was lovely. I was secretly hoping it'd start things off but not a twinge yet!

newbyxx · 31/05/2020 20:08

Hey ladies, hope you're all welll, sorry I've not caught up on the thread as you can imagine I have been spending all my time falling in love with my baby boy... Freddie Ray 💙

June tomorrow so the month of the babies! I wonder who's next! X

Pegase · 31/05/2020 20:35

Good luck @LillianFullStop -
Any tips post ELCS very welcome!

MissisBee · 31/05/2020 20:36

Good luck for tomorrow @LillianFullStop
I was so convinced I was going to have the baby in May, but I'm rapidly running out of time for that 😆
I'm getting 2-3 episodes per day of about 2-3 slightly painful tightenings, so just warm ups I think rather than anything starting. I think my mucus plug is starting to go a bit too. No sign of anything else though.

Gigitree · 31/05/2020 20:48

Good luck for tomorrow @LillianFullStop in some ways I’m a little bit jealous. My sister had such a positive ELCS last year and looks back on the experience so fondly! ❤️

@Missgemini if it makes you feel any better I was texting a lady from my NCT class last Wednesday and she said she had 0 labour symptoms and didn’t think anything was going to happen anytime soon. She ended up having her baby the next day!

Missgemini · 31/05/2020 21:02

@Gigitree Ahh that's good to hear! haha! I hope something like that happens!
