Oh @UKtoSK that sounds so upsetting, hope you are OK now. They really should have told you they were watching it in another room!!!

Trivial problem here but the daily game of “is it clean and does it fit?” Is getting harder and harder!! I think I am going to roast today in my yoga trousers Sad

Pegase · 30/05/2020 09:30

Haha @Magpiefeather I am running the washing machine lots so I just rotate the same four items!

APD1981 · 30/05/2020 09:44

@magpiefeather exactly the same here. I've abandoned denim now because it's too hot and restrictive. I have a pair of regular harem pants that sit in under my bump (couple of sizes bigger so very roomy) and a pair of maternity joggers/yoga pants. Both are full length and not as thin and airy as I'd like. So tempted to spend the day in knickers and a vest top but not sure what the neighbours would think if they spotted me in the garden!

BabyBird20 · 30/05/2020 10:54

@Magpiefeather snap! I have basically run out of clothes now, luckily found two maxi dresses in the depth of my wardrobe which are stretchy so just about still fit so alternating them and my joggers these days!!

Cornishbumpkin · 30/05/2020 11:14

@APD1981 have you got any bikini bottoms to wear with a tank top, no judgment from neighbours then lol. I'm living in really loose beach dresses that are a blessing cause they're so floaty.

My lovely friends and hubby have arranged a virtual baby shower for me today as the real one was cancelled last week Grin

SerBrienneOfHouseTarth · 30/05/2020 11:52

For feeding questions there's a good wee group on Facebook run by Feed. It's for boob, formula, combi and tube feeding. I'll see if I can find the link. I've decided not to BF this time as it didn't work out for us last time and switching to formula worked great (especially cause I could sleep while DH did his share of the night shifts!)

@BabyBird20 We cannot decide on a boys name! We have a girls name picked. It was the same with DS, we had picked a girls name but could not agree on a boys name. I have one I like but DH doesn't and all his names are chavtastic so definite no's from me! Our plan is to wait and see what baby looks like! Grin

MissisBee · 30/05/2020 12:21

I found a pair of maternity shorts that I'd bought last time, never wore and had forgotten about. They're very short, so I won't be going out anywhere in them 😂
Currently sitting on my gym ball in the garden while DS is in the paddling pool

Magpie21 · 30/05/2020 13:50

@peetieswie I hope you are feeling better today x

@UKtoSK sounds like a terrible worry that you went through. Hope you are feeling better today x

@AmyMaria2 so lovely to see baby Ace on our feed :-)

I'm now on Maternity leave! Very exciting! Wonder when this baby girl will arrive 💖 36+6, so have a bit of time and I've had no major twinges yet!

Busylizzie85 · 30/05/2020 13:54

I'm literally trying all the tricks today to get baby girl moving! I have two lots of pineapple and a curry for later 🤞🏼

I am also the same with clothes I have very limited items that are now comfortable for this weather as I hate anything tight on bump or under bump.

39+1

APD1981 · 30/05/2020 14:16

I've cried twice already today. I'm so done with being pregnant. Also having a hot curry tonight. Hubby is made up as I'd gone off them a bit because they gave me such bad indigestion but I'm starting to get desperate to at least feel something might happen soon. Not even had any Braxton Hicks throughout my pregnancy and so I feel like this baby is staying in there forever and ever.

I'm armed with rennies and peppermint tea for the curry and I'm going to stay upright bouncing on my ball afterwards to try and avoid the heartburn.

39 weeks tomorrow.

Smiffette · 30/05/2020 15:11

@APD1981 I'm 39 weeks on Monday! I feel like I am going to be late, she's very comfortable in there! 🙈
I don't mind as the birthing centre I'm due to deliver in has been refurbished and is due to open in the next week so I really don't want her to arrive before then!

Fortunately I feel quite comfortable and haven't been having any Bracken Hicks at all yet!

Missgemini · 30/05/2020 15:46

Ladies, I'm officially fed up! So tired and sleeping 10 times a day. No signs of baby going anywhere.
I'm eating dates and bouncing on the ball. We tried sex and it was uncomfortable, so that's not happening anymore. Too tired to do walks etc.
Thanks for reminding me about curry. Might start ordering that every night from now on! Haha!

I am feeling tired with no energy or motivation either. As nice as today is DH couldn't tempt me to leave the house and get some sun I've just been laying on the couch Bear

Lots of random Braxton Hicks and cramping but nothing regular. ELCS booked on Monday so this was meant to be our last weekend to relax enjoy but I just have no energy!

I'm happy with my ELCS decision and those reasons haven't gone away but in the back of my mind still dreaming of a straightforward VB... not looking forward to the ELCS recovery period. 😭

On the plus side the Covid test they gave me yesterday came back negative so that's one less thing to worry about!

Zoey92 · 30/05/2020 16:16

I've actually retreated to bed this afternoon I'm so tired, lots of tightening of bump today & lots of daggers, I've only had a quick nip to Asda this morning & was not there long 😂

37weeks tomorrow
How exciting for all you at 39weeks!

Magpiefeather · 30/05/2020 17:12

I’m the same Zoey (also 37 weeks tomorrow) and I’ve been doing ok energy wise up until today when I have absolutely crashed. Feel bloody shattered and all DD wants to do is play energetic games where mummy has to join in. I just can’t kid, I’m sorry! I’ve got to nesting urge but no energy so I’m doing more resting than nesting!!

Zoey92 · 30/05/2020 17:26

@magpiefeather sounds awfull but it's just one of them days where inside im screaming "leave me alone!" 🙈
Aww bless her it must be hard being so pregnant & also having a DD or DS to see to, i take my hat off to all you 2nd time mums.
I'm obsessed with the smell of disinfectant atm & just want to clean 😂 but my body is not allowing me to do my housework today! I've had no cravings but the smell of cleaning products good god!😍😂
Definitely crashed & burned today!

BirdGarden · 30/05/2020 17:36

39 weeks today and had my first energy crash and emotional wobble earlier. First gym session I've missed because I didn't feel up to it, sat indoors crying and eating digestives instead Blush. After a couple of hours I gave myself a hard talking to and made 2 loaves of bread for the freezer, 2 days of dinner, cleaned all of downstairs. Had half hour walk with DD this morning, who then spent an hour beating me up because I couldn't play with her properly. Thanks child...

Had contractions from 10pm last night, were coming every 10 minutes, stopped by 1am thankfully. I'm not ready until next Friday evening!

As this is my second summer pregnancy I bought a good few loose tunic top things last time; not maternity but just a size bigger. Living in those in circulation! A friend of mine went overdue in a heatwave many years ago and just had one floaty maxi dress she wore for the last 6 weeks; washed it in the sink every evening, hung up overnight, was so hot it was bone dry by morning!

Happy 39 weeks @Kez437!

APD1981 · 30/05/2020 18:02

I kid you not, I'm currently sat in my knickers with a vest top rolled up under my bra bouncing on my ball with a fan on in a darkened room. I plan on being in this exact position to eat my curry when it arrives, too! Anyone else finding it hard to lean over at the table eat now? I have to hold my plate above my bump to eat.

Missgemini · 30/05/2020 18:45

@APD1981 this made me laugh because I have not been wearing clothes at home for the last 2 weeks. I just wear knickers, full stop. My DH has accepted that this is the new me.
And yes, I don't really eat at the table anymore. I lie semi recumbent for that, as with most things.

@BirdGarden omg, your contractions have started? That's very exciting! You've done really well at the exercise front though!

APD1981 · 30/05/2020 18:53

@missgemini Haha I feel like this is the way forward. However, DH's eyes popped out of his head at the sight of me. Think he is liking my pregnant body which is nice, but I feel so bad that I have absolutely no desire in that dept at all right now!

BirdGarden · 30/05/2020 19:37

@missgemini - not since 1am, I googled (as you do everything pregnancy related!) and some women did report them stopping overnight and starting properly next day but nothing here beyond pressure, cramps and a 2 hour emotional flake out! I was in latent labour; dilated, effaced, mild contractions, waters leaking, for 5 and a half days with DD before being induced so I think I am a really slow labourer... Confused

UKtoSK · 31/05/2020 00:04

@APD1981 haha that made me laugh because whenever I’m at home I always have whatever top I have on rolled up so my belly is out. Even loose soft clothes feel uncomfortable on it. I had been living in short leggings at home for a couple of months but now even they feel restrictive when I sit down so I’m joining the knickers only club. I prefer standing or walking now to sitting down for comfort. It’s hard when you’re just at home all day every day though!

umabb · 31/05/2020 05:10

Up since 4am as suddenly realised that he hadn't moved since midnight - that might be happening every night but soon as the thought kicks in I couldn't sleep no more! Is it a bit too much trying to wake him up now?? 🤪😳

Busylizzie85 · 31/05/2020 05:24

I'm the same @umabb I wake up and think gosh I have not felt her all night so I get up walk around a bit and have a drink and then lay back down and wait till she moves. Usually she does just to adjust positions, her movements are much more subtle nowadays which I assume is just lack of room.

SearchingTheSkies · 31/05/2020 05:29

@Busylizzie85 @umabb Same happened to me. Woke up around 3.45 and didn't feel movement. Kept shifting position but still nothing. Got up and made a very early breakfast and she's now wriggling away again. The stress!!
