Wellll its nice to know I'm not the only one running hell for leather for the loo 😂 as some of you say everytime we stand up 🤦‍♀️

I'm getting kicked in the ribs & hit in the hip as i write this, while busting out some gymnast style moves 😂
Anyone else's temperature up & down like a yoyo?
I've gone from the coldest person ever to the hottest 😂

Not too tired at the moment but the bladder thing is ridiculous - needing to go the second you stand up! Cartoons so apt

chocolate26 · 19/05/2020 21:27

@Rinoa I'm also feeling really tired recently! Especially today, I haven't had the energy to do anything. Luckily my DH is home at the moment so he's able to do a lot for me. I did have low iron at 24 weeks but I've been on iron supplements since then and my iron levels are now normal so I'm putting the tiredness down to just being heavily pregnant. Does anyone have any tips on easing the tiredness though? I'm not a massive fan of naps during the day as I find they make me a bit woozy.

I also need a wee all the time! I'm getting up around 3/4 times a night now. Has anyone noticed their wee is quite dark now? I drink loads, easily 2-3 litres a day but my wee is a lot darker than it used to be.

I can't believe how strong the kicks and movements are now! It makes me jump a lot, especially if I'm drifting off to sleep and it starts having a kick around 😃

Mj2196 · 19/05/2020 21:51

@Pegase welcome to the club 😄they guessed 6lb 8 at 34weeks 7lb 7 At 36+1 ! What was your baby’s HC? I passed the blood test for gd ,have accepted induction at 39 weeks. Very glad not to be going 40+ .

I’m also loving my ball at the moment spend most of my evening on it .Seriously suffering the effects of my iron tablets. Spoke to midwife today & she says I can drop from 3 tablets a day to 2 so 🤞🏼 That helps ease the constipation a little. Oh the glamour !

I'm knackered too - combination of Hb 97 and toddler who likes to wake up at 5. I do feel a bit perkier today, hoping it's the iron infusion starting to kick in. I do need a nap most days though!
DH takes DS out for a walk most days - I had been going with them until recently, now I'll only go every other day, and only about a quarter of the way, then I'll head home again. DH forgot to bring his phone with him today, so he was like " don't do anything (ie go into labour) before I get back!"
I don't feel like there's anything engaging in my pelvis yet, but still weeing 429294 times a day.

RPPs · 19/05/2020 22:30

@NakeliP I decided not to have the turn because I dont want the risk of placental abruption or any discomfort to Bambino. It literally kicked at my waist bands to get me to move them so I figured its not going to be a nice process for Baby or me. I spoke to 5 Mums who have done it and none were successful and they needed a c section. Each one said the sections was such a lovely calm and controlled experience. So After NCT putting me off all but natural births, I think Ive got my head around a section now.

Absoultely boiling tonight. Bought a mini/personal air conditioning unit on Amazon for £35. I highly would recommend.
Let me know how you go tomorrow

AndddddHerewegoagain · 19/05/2020 22:35

Our upstairs toilet is currently broken so im constantly having to weigh up whether its worth the effort to waddle downstairs every time I need to wee during the night.
Plus the added crystal maze factor of opening the stair gate quietly enough that i don't wake the toddler up!

I had a lovely 2.5 hour nap today. So glad dh is now at home until the baby arrives i was really struggling with his shifts and the toddler everyday.

@chocolate26 movements are so strong now definitely take my breath away sometimes as she favours lower pelvis movements ALOT 😂

Seventytwoseventythree · 19/05/2020 23:53

Hi @Mj2196 do you mind me asking what the reason is for induction at 39 weeks? Is it baby’s size or something else? Mine has been measuring 95th percentile the whole time and I’m worried about going overdue and having to deliver a 10lb baby (I know people do it all the time but there are risks and seems to me like we know it’s coming so why not pre-empt it?). Midwife here says they don’t induce for size alone (GD year was negative)

SerBrienneOfHouseTarth · 20/05/2020 00:01

I'm still itching like hell with my rash which is so uncomfortable I just sat and had a good cry today.

I'm thinking my body might be gearing up for labour because my face is starting to get puffy like it did the week before my DC1 was born and - if you're easily grossed out look away now - I have tons of mucus. Like, huge blobs of it are dripping out of me every time I pee/wipe! I had that for a week or so before my last birth too. I'm 36+2, last one born at 36 so hopefully can get to at least 37 this time!

@APD1981 I'm a swimmer too and really missing it! I used the hot tub at my local pool throughout my last pregnancy as the relief was brilliant but thanks to CV I've had to make do with hot baths this time. As long as you don't let yourself overheat you should be fine. Can I ask what waterproof earphones you'd recommend please?!

@AndddddHerewegoagain Your last labour sounds similar to mine, and I'm the same now with the BH and period like pain! I also had a power nap today!

@HaichMal Welcome x

BirdGarden · 20/05/2020 01:39

@HaichMal welcome, I'm a latecomer to the board too Smile

@Ginfilledcats - no sun here either, no idea what everyone else is talking about Grin. Oh and I managed 2cm of dilation and effacement with DD without realising. That was all I managed, but still! I'm like the other second time mums on here symptom watching even though I have a feeling I'll go to 42 weeks.

So glad I work from home with the constant weeing issue - I don't have my camera on for meetings because I don't want people to see me having to run to the loo. Every. Five. Minutes. Or bouncing on my ball or inhaling Clary sage oil or stuffing myself with dates Grin

newbyxx · 20/05/2020 04:55

Lovely 4.30am wake up for me today the hip pain is too much! no wonder I'm needing to nap by lunchtime every day! I went on a 3 mile walk last night, trying to get baby down.
I was 2/5 engaged last week already and I definitely think he's moved more, I've woken up with my belly button sticking out and bump has definitely dropped. I know it doesn't mean anything about labour but I'm going to carry on my longer walks! Started using my birthing ball yesterday too. No signs of mucus plug or anything yet though, have my sweep on Sunday. Does anyone know if you loose your mucus plug every time or do some women not? X

Rinoa · 20/05/2020 05:49

Glad I'm not the only one! My mom did mention around this time I would be very tired and to rest as much as possible. I was up at 4.30 am yesterday ridiculously tired but couldn't go back to sleep. Woke up had breakfast then slept for 4 hours ! Up again today but thankfully don't feel as tired. Will prob take a nap later in the day! Enjoy the sun ladies

MJane3 · 20/05/2020 06:16

@newbyxx sorry if I missed this, but why are you having a sweep so early?

newbyxx · 20/05/2020 06:39

@MJane3 il be 38+1 and it's because I'm being induced at 39 weeks because of low PAPP-a. So I'm having 3 sweeps before my induction date on the 30th may

AndddddHerewegoagain · 20/05/2020 07:15

I'm going to ask for a sweep today. Was refused 2 weeks ago. So annoying that procedures seem to depend on trusts. I really don't want to be induced. And it would be nice to know what if anything is going on down there so i know what my likelihood of being induced is.

Anyway happy due date to me. Im sure it will be as anticlimactic as last time 😂

Cornishbumpkin · 20/05/2020 07:18

Happy due date @AndddddHerewegoagain

@newbyxx I've heard that not all women lose their mucus plug or it can go with your waters so you may not notice

APD1981 · 20/05/2020 07:39

@Andddddherewegoagain happy due date! Do you have a MW appt today? I hope they'll do something.

I also find it odd how so many of you know when you're having inductions/sweeps already and nothing at all has been said to me yet. I have my 38 week appt next Tuesday and I'm going to ask for a sweep at my 40 week appt if nothing happens before then. I've read that for a FTM you're meant to be given one at 40 weeks. I'm also 38 and so would rather not go 2 weeks overdue due to the risks associated with that and my age, too. Plus I just can't wait to get this baby out!

37+3

newbyxx · 20/05/2020 07:56

@APD1981 if I was a low risk pregnancy then I wouldn't know etc and just be offered one as usual after 40 weeks too, it's only because Of the low hormone situation I've got which they induced all women at 39 weeks as the placenta came become matured/inefficient x

newbyxx · 20/05/2020 08:03

@AndddddHerewegoagain happy due date! Hopefully you'll get to meet you little one very
Soon x

Rinoa · 20/05/2020 08:19

Happy due date @AndddddHerewegoagain ! Hope all goes well x

Busylizzie85 · 20/05/2020 08:22

Happy due date @AndddddHerewegoagain 🤞🏼things will get started soon!

APD1981 · 20/05/2020 08:44

@newbyxx oh I realise that x Just a bit envious of those of you who've had extra scans and got more info etc.. I said this to my MW and she said it was a good thing because "nothing is wrong" but I do get little doubts that maybe there is but no-one knows because I don't get the same level of scans etc. I'm just being a worrying, control freak FTM, I think!x

newbyxx · 20/05/2020 08:50

@APD1981 yeah I get what you mean, it's obviously nice to see baby at growth scans etc but I would prefer to of had a 'normal' pregnancy from the start instead of the worry of baby being small/ placenta not working properly x

Mj2196 · 20/05/2020 08:52

Happy due date ! @AndddddHerewegoagain

@Seventytwoseventythree yeah they offer induction here for babies over 95th . Something to do with HC & shoulder risk. (I had some issues delivering dc1 though ). If baba is where they say & keeps following the top line they reckon they will be around 5kg if left to 42 weeks🤷🏻‍♀️. Have you been for any growth scans love?
