Can I just ask where everyone lives? We're in North London.

Lipstick I think NZ is just too far for me too, despite DH's family. We get on well enough but not well enough if you know what I mean. I would miss my set up over here way too much. It is a very beautiful place though.

Scraggy I second the rhubarb and custard sweet - I've found them very helpful too. Strange

sweetheart · 09/11/2004 13:32

So I'm guessing you're all fairly loose on the "what not to eat" guidelines then - GOOD - because I just had a tuna mayo baguette and I'm gonna have a cake later thats got cream in it - is that sill not allowed (it was an issue with my 1st I seem to remember!?!?!?)

I'd do anything for some pate on toast at the moment - ummmm I love the stuff and miss it so much!!!!!!

Thanks for all your well done messages In celebration last night BTW I had one of the new domino's pizza's with the cheese between the base - it was OK - nothing special. I then polished off half a box of the new flake chocs - again nothing special - felt totally sick afterwards!!!!

PinkA - how old are you?? I've had a look at your posts but can't see it. I was 19 when I fell pregnant with dd. I'm going through exams at the moment as well and I know how tough it is. I have one of Friday - another one in December and then a couple more next year. If you need to chat about the stess I'm always here.

Scraggyaggy · 09/11/2004 13:33

I live in Swansea, but work in Cardiff - the commute is killing me! Not sure how long I'll last once things progress...

The best sweets I've found are Rhubarb & Custard, Strawberry Campino and then Werthers Original from time to time.

sweetheart · 09/11/2004 13:33

WM - I'm in north east Hampshire

sweetheart · 09/11/2004 13:34

I had some of those sour - rossy apple sweets on Saturday and they worked a treat too!!!!

welshmum · 09/11/2004 13:35

I was just wondering how likely it was that we would ever meet up. Not very so far!

Scraggyaggy · 09/11/2004 13:37

I bought the book "Mums on Pregnancy", which is loads of snippets from postings on this site and the chapter on food, just made me think "Why am I denying myself all this lovely food?"

My mother has always said to me "A little bit of what you fancy does you no harm at all", so as long as your sensible, I don't see the problem. I absolutely love seafood so I've been trying to avoid it in takeaways, from sandwich shops etc but having a little at home.

Scraggyaggy · 09/11/2004 13:38

Where do you get the apple sweets from? They sound nice.

sweetheart · 09/11/2004 13:40

Woolworths pick and mix!!! I haven't had one for ages - it was sooo yummy. I also had some of the white chocolate skulls with the pink stuff inside and some cola bottles
YUUMMMYYY!!!!

teabelly · 09/11/2004 13:42

Welshmum I'm on the bedfordshire/hertfordshire borders and work in London (City)

On the sweetie front it's got to be licquorice allsorts for me

Scraggyaggy · 09/11/2004 13:45

Ooh no, can't do anything chewy! Texture and consistency is a right tummy churner for me at the moment!

Scraggyaggy · 09/11/2004 13:46

Teabelly - I work in London on and off, down near Oxford St. Are you anywhere near there?

teabelly · 09/11/2004 13:50

Scraggy I'm by the Bank of England (bank/liverpool street stations)

Scraggyaggy · 09/11/2004 13:52

Oh, quite a way away from me. Never mind. Would be nice if we could have a "June Club Outing". That would be great.

teabelly · 09/11/2004 13:55

Yeah it would - would probably have to meet in the middle like Holborn way...

Scraggyaggy · 09/11/2004 13:56

I've just ordered some maternity jeans... oooooh!!

teabelly · 09/11/2004 13:57

...where from? I got some great ones in Topshop...

Scraggyaggy · 09/11/2004 14:01

From Business Bump (www.businessbump.co.uk). They're a bit pricey but they look really smart, under bump, with a stretchy back so you can wear short tops etc.

I saw the Topshop collection - they had a really nice floaty green top, which I thought would be nice for going out... if I ever feel like going out again!

muddaofsuburbia · 09/11/2004 14:03

Teabelly - I'm in Herts too - well for the next 6 days! Then we'll be in Stirlingshire - ah cannae wait!!

Interesting about the rhubarb sweets - I've got a whole jar of rhubarb rock in my cupboard that's calling to me now - will report back if it helps at all.

teabelly · 09/11/2004 14:05

thanks scraggy - I'll have a look at that site - I just lurve shopping for clothes...got loads of stuff from when I was pg with ds - but there's better stuff out there now! Just have to convince dh why I have to have yet more pg clothes

teabelly · 09/11/2004 14:06

mudda whereabouts in herts 'were' you??

muddaofsuburbia · 09/11/2004 14:15

I'm in Hemel Hempstead - officially a Crap Town!

Scraggyaggy · 09/11/2004 14:17

There are two others which I thought were really classy - Isabella Oliver (totally extortionate - however you spell it!) and Blooming Marvellous is quite good.

I convinced my other half that I'm going to be wearing these clothes for at least the next 3/4 years (we want to have our family lose together) and then I can sell them after that. Couldn't argue really!

Not sure where Holborn is, is it near the law courts? We could meet for a lemonade and some sweets after work one day?

Scraggyaggy · 09/11/2004 14:18

I thought Hemel was where everyone wanted to live?? Aren't there good restaurants near there?

MrsWednesday · 09/11/2004 14:21

Once again you're all talking food! No salad for me today though - I just can't be bothered making it in a morning any more, so I'm tucking into a shop-bought smoked salmon, lemon mayo and salad sandwich (in a white baguette). Absolutely gorgeous, and probably against all pregnancy food regulations .

I'm in Leeds - miles away from everyone by the sounds of it. Although not as far away as muddaofsuburbia will be! It sounds absolutely gorgeous (I'm stalking you, saw your message on the 'where you'd like to live' thread) and you must be so excited to be going home.

Well done Sweetheart!! Does that mean you don't have to go back to WW any more?

Thanks for asking lipstickmum, I'm ok. Tired. Sigh. Addicted to pomegranates. I laughed at your 'crying at Neighbours' comment - have been known to do the same thing myself, even when not pg! I really would try and put the 'brie incident' out of your mind (if your DP lets you). It's virtually impossible to avoid EVERY single little tiny miniscule risk in pregnancy.

Glad to see some of you are coming through the worst of the sickness - anyone seen Cobweb? Is she still suffering?

Right, I'm off to raid the chocolate machine (I'm at work, I haven't got one in my kitchen, honest).
