does everyone have moments the same time each day? M/W told me to expect this, but bean is very random? Also do you get days when the movements are stronger than other days?

Hey ladies happy Friday (I could have sworn it was Sat this morning, I was devastated that it wasn?t!)

Gingeme ? Clown Town sounds fun I was watching an episode of ?Birth Day Girls? last night, one of the women was expecting her 6th and had 5 boys under 3! she had triplets of a year or so in there too. She was hoping this one was a girl but if not she was going to keep on trying! She had a double buggy with an add on bit to make it a treble and a 2nd double (obviously could not take them all out alone) ? they were out in town and all the kids started screaming ? what a racket! Hope you feel better soon

Cazzybaby ? hope the house move went well lovely news that your scan went well and congratulations on the girl that evens things out a bit on here! That?s 5 girls and 7 boys so far.

BWMum ? sorry to hear that you had a bad day and that the news from the consultant came as a shock I really hope it moves up, there?s someone else with a low placenta I think but can?t remember who now

Barristermum ? hello.

Lilyloo ? I know what you mean about the weight at the front and the sore back, though watching TV on my exercise ball instead of the sofa does help ? I think I am just getting blooming massive instead of the blooming on its own!

Ayreshirelolo ? a Northern night could be fun it might just be you and I though if we have it in Scotland! LOL made me laugh about you feeling like you are ?watching a function in a foreign language? that?s exactly how it feels! Enjoy your long weekend

MotherofZ ? sorry about the pains and the fall hope you are ok!

Beller ? have a lovely weekend; hope the nursery chat goes well.

Lulubump ? hey.

Hello Bettymamma sorry to hear that DH is still away my nephews go to Monkey Music

Awen ? hope DP has a good trip

More buggy shopping for us tomorrow ? plus we have set a closing date for offers on our house of 2/10 ? we?ll be in Spain but hopefully we?ll get a good offer and can celebrate the sale with my folks I?ll have really mixed feelings though, I love my house

MotherofZ · 21/09/2007 11:48

Sorry - I'll re-phrase that:

Does everyone have movements the same time each day? M/W told me to expect this, but bean is very random. Also do you get days when the movements are stronger than other days?

I do motherofz

She wakes at 5am until about 6.30am and then nothing until 10am (in time for my morning cup of tea) and then kicks like mad till midday and then must nap during lunch until about 3ish (in time for afternoon tea and chocolate).

How about you?

Not too keen on her carrying on with the 5am waking once born...........

I get days when ALOT stronger and I guess its when shes turned around so shes facing my belly rather than facing my back. Does that make sense?

MrsMcJnr - i hope you will be mumsnetting with us in Spain!!xx

MrsMcJnr · 21/09/2007 12:04

I've heard that as beanies are only human, they have quiet days like we do and there may never be a pattern as such but if there is, it is most likely noticed around 28 weeks.

mixedmama · 21/09/2007 12:06

I get most of my movements in the evening that seems to be the only regualrity. otherwise I get random movements through out the day.

i prod the baby loads when in the bath as i read somewhere that they like it when you pour water over your belly, but I may have just made that up as baby doesnt seem to move all that much.

mixedmama · 21/09/2007 12:07

MrsMcJnr I love that analogy - they are only human. haha

MotherofZ · 21/09/2007 12:14

Thanks guys. Am only asking as even though after my fall yesteday I felt kicks - today although I am feeling them, they are less often and less stronger, but no longer in my pelvic region but under my rib cage.

Morning Everyone!!

BWMum ? sorry to hear about low lying placenta will keep fingers crossed for you that it moves up so you can have your homebirth.

Lilylou ? we are really stuck on names had one sorted out for a boy as we where convinced LO was going to be blue. We have shortlisted Isobelle, Imogen, Eloise, Alice and Amelie at the moment but it is bound to keep changing! I also have not made any preparations for Christmas at the moment but I guess it will be here before we know it, like it always is! I am also starting to feel backache have bought a beanbag type cushion thing which is really good.

Motherof Z ? Tonight is the night to find out if Cindy is alive, my DP thinks I am really sad to be excited about Eastenders!! Hope your feeling better after your fall, I fell out of bed the other morning, midwife says you?ll have plenty more being off balance as you get bigger, not what I wanted to hear!!

Gingme ? Hope you are feeling better xxx

Angechica ? I think my festival days are more or less numbered for a few years at least!

MrsMcJr ? Best of luck with the house sale, fingers crossed for a good offer!

MotherofZ ? My LO seems to move loads in the evening??

Hi to Everyone else hope you are all having a great day I am off out to lunch with my mum now xxxx

Cazzybaby · 21/09/2007 12:28

Just seen the DUE in JUNE 08 thread and it has made me really really scared, birth is fast approaching!

gingeme · 21/09/2007 12:38

Afternoon ladies. Feeling better now thankyou. Had lots of tea at playgroup this morning and I think the chocolate Hob Nobs helped too
Awen I forgot to ask what 'brave boy' gift are you buying your ds when he goes to hospital? I just dont have a clue what to get my ds. I realise yours is a little older. I dont realy want to get him a toy and he is mad on Bob de Builder so I was thinking Bob slippers.......
I was told I looked big and bump looked round today. Mind you baby is transverse today so his back is along my front and I feel front heavy today
Barristermum I think Ive caught your itchy nips! Oh I want to scratch my left boob off today

mixedmama · 21/09/2007 13:07

I have had the boob problem today as well. On my way in this morning I got this huge stinging sensation in my left boob.

Bettymamma · 21/09/2007 13:20

Itchy nips - how annoying! I get that when biscuit crumbs get in my bra!!!

Cazzybabe - june '08 - oh my god, we are quite an established thread now - aghh! Talking about unbalanced - i keep walking into door frames??! hello?

Cindy is DEFINITELY alive. I love it.

Motherofz - sounds like your baby has moved around a bit. I think mine now has its legs up towards my ribs (or it's waving madly). Haven't seen the midwife since 15 weeks so don't know which way up (nearly 26wks now - my fault, she keeps calling me, I've been busy! I keep forgetting! I will go).

Beanies are 'only human' - its easy to forget! xx

Bettymamma · 21/09/2007 13:23

oh goingfor3 is on the June thread!! I'm so happy for her!

Angechica · 21/09/2007 13:26

Hey Cazzy you can always strap LO into the obligatory organic cotton sling and go to the more family friendly fests anyway! There was one called Latitude near where my mum and dad lived that looked good.

We're finding boys' names really difficult mainly because DH teaches boys PE so has loads of names associated with 'orrible pupils! The only boys name I've come up with so far is James. We like Jack too but it's so widespread and there is also Jack Johnson a singer, around now! DH's late father was called Ernest - that's no good! I need some inspiration...

Girls are easier - I liked Alice too, until DH reminded me of when he went to meet a mate at the airport when his team were playing up here, got talking to another fan who said have you met my little girl, this is "Crystal Alice". But we also have Hannah, Milly and Lucy as possibles.

Bettymamma · 21/09/2007 13:30

Angechica you can can have my boys names if you fancy seeing as I won't be using them...

Zak, Louis, James, Henry, Sebastian, Max

Someone came up with Atticus the other day - fabulous!!

mixedmama · 21/09/2007 13:35

Lurrrvvveee Atticus.

Bettymamma · 21/09/2007 13:46

Jsut completed writing my maternity cover job advert - it gave me such great satisfaction.....

MotherofZ · 21/09/2007 13:49

Angechia - we've got Hannah as pur 1st choice girls name!
Bettymama - training my maternity cover 1st weeks oct - feels wierd!

OP posts:
mixedmama · 21/09/2007 13:51

Ohhh did you decide on Hannah then, very pretty. So versatile as well. Have you got a final choice for boys name now as well?

Bettymamma · 21/09/2007 13:57

Motherofz - feels weird but wonderful i bet. My HR so disorganised I'm hoping they won't employ someone until i leave so i avoid the training bit!

Hannah is a lovely name. Good choice.

mixedmama - how about you with the boys names?

God Friday afternoons at work - haven't done one of these for months. Am so booorrreeeddddddddd

mixedmama · 21/09/2007 14:01

bettymama - between Ediz and Ilhan. Havent decided. Ediz is my preference and ilhan is hubbys altho the last few day i have been speaking to bump and when i say ilhan it just feels a little more right.

when we had DS Sami had been flying around for ages amongst other names and as soon as they handed him to me I just called him Sami, so adopting same principal.

MotherofZ · 21/09/2007 14:06

Bettymama - actually my employer is quite tight and seconding someone in my department to do my job! Training her 2 weeks in Oct and 2 weeks in Nov.

MM - Still undecided about boys names!! DH like Omar - which I can't stand.

OP posts:
MotherofZ · 21/09/2007 14:07

MM - I like Sami, but keeping my ears/eyes open for any other names I might like

OP posts:
Bettymamma · 21/09/2007 14:33

Sami is nice

I have a guy here called Omar who is NOT NICE but that shouldn't influence you.
