Hello

Hey MrsMCJnr - so at the giving birth at the nunnery story. How Awful. Just being nosy??? Are you spanish, or how come you went to school in spain? Krispy Kremes rule. My advise get down to Tescos and indulge they nearly always have a Krispy Kreme counter, best doughnuts ever, other than hot freshly made seaside ones, but i digress

Beller - I get the backache. Sometimes it stretches across my shoulders and up my neck and sometimes it is lower back, sometimes all over. Think with me tho it has quite a lot to do with sitting badly etc.

Has anyone else got pain in their ribs. I am pretty sure that LO's foot is rammed into my ribs as i have a constant dull ache. I had it last time and they said maybe rib flare and I saw the doc and stuff, but it is so uncomfortable cant be in one position for more than about a minute.

MotherofZ · 14/09/2007 14:17

Beller - been getting pelvic pains - getting in/out shower and car, climbing stairs, walking and on/off back pains too. (am sure I've moaned about this already). Going to speak to m/w about it next week.

Mrs McJnr - what planet are you on? Never experience Krispy Kream - a little slice of heaven (v fattening though).

Talking about celebrities - my claim was accompanying a friend who won a GMTV competition to see Boyzone in person (all short) and also met Anthea Turner who was a presenter then!
Lol also met LIGHTNING from the Gladiators (remember that?)

Ok ladies

Got a bit of a dilemma. i have moaned about my ILs before so i wont go into all the craziness, but bottom line is Dh and I have an agreement that I do not go there anymore and they look after DS once a week. This works verywell for us.

So, I have just received a text from one of my SIL's. One who is ok, dont have much in common but generally get on pretty well. Saying hi, etc and she text me on my bday. So She said she would like to see me as she hasnt seen me for ages and aasked when i would be at her mums next - now i havent been there since i have been pregnant so a whole 24 weeks and dont intend to start as it would so be going backwards.

Whole family gossip all the time so everyone will be aware of certain details etc.

Point is i dont want to be horrible as she is making an effort and we get on ok, but i want to make it clear that i will not go there but we can meet elsewhere - want to make it clear that i have good reason without going into it with her but still offer to meet.

Any advice ladies???

MrsMcJnr · 14/09/2007 15:10

Angechica ? sorry to hear you are down? I had a wobbly day yesterday, suddenly very worried again and Beanie was having a quiet day so that didn?t help. I have had rages but not recently but you just never know when something might set you of?.

Neuro ? not sure about the boob question, sorry hon.

Beller ? yes, bobbly ? what?s all that about?! DH says there is no way Beanie will get all of my nipple in its mouth

Hey Molly65 ? oohhhh now the best way to eat hagen daaz is alone if you ask me! I?ve had a bit of wine from time to time, tastes quite good again now I have to admit but I feel too guilty to have more than a tiny bit at the weekends.

Gingeme ? nostalgic about those clothes I am sure have a great weekend.

Be honest everyone ? who is actually doing their pelvic floor exercises? I try to remember but don?t often maybe we should have a key word that gets us all doing them!!

Naetha ? I?m at the midwife on Weds too ? she?s going to hate me (again) as a pg friend has told me I?d better get her to test me for toxoplasmosis immunity because of my cats ? have you been tested? Anyone else?

Mixedmama ? I know, you should have seen her scar, at 15 too I?m not Spanish but I grew up over there No KK counter in Tescos up here I don?t think are the seaside ones fishy? I get the ribs pains too but most days I have a radiating pain down my right leg, think it?s some sort of sciatica. Had that from about 16 weeks I think.

Re your dilemma, I think I?d just say, something like ?note sure, can we meet somewhere else sometime soon?? text gives you the chance to sideline it if you want unless of course you do want it to get back to PIL that you don?t intend to visit! In which case ?next visit when hell freezes over however would be great to see you? sorry, shouldn?t make a joke out of it but it let?s me get out my own in-law stress out (SIL was suggesting last night that DH, I, she and PIL go to remote cottage for 5 days around Christmas & that as long as we?d be within an hour of any hospital I?d be fine if I went into labour ? hell no, I?m not going anywhere!)

MotherofZ ? Planet Scotland LOL at your star spots.

MotherofZ · 14/09/2007 15:18

MM - why don't you tell your SIL meet up at a resturant or for coffee instead.

Surely she must know the score if you haven't been over to your ILs for 6 mths - or is she playing for the 'other' side?

beller · 14/09/2007 15:20

Naetha - I would definately want to be comfortable? so maybe trousers and top?

Motherofz - I snogged "hunter" many moons ago in marbella.....hahah very funny night..and the guy has 2 left feet and bad dress sense! Also had a small fling with a footballer, but nothing to shout home about either
Re the dilemna, I would say, "dont have any plans to go there at mom, but would you like to meet somewhere, would love to catch up?" Play it down ?

Mrsmcjnr - I try to remember and the woman does them at yoga classes, but I dont think once a week is enough ...Good idea, we should encourage each other! x

mixedmama · 14/09/2007 15:20

MrsMcJnr - i do sort of want it to get back as i still feel they prob think they have succeeded in ousting me IYSWIM, but I know that is childish. I might just text her and invite her and her hubby out for dinner one night with me and hubby.

MotherofZ · 14/09/2007 15:24

beller - PMSL at the Hunter ecounter!!!

OP posts:
MrsMcJnr · 14/09/2007 16:01

My sis snogged one of the bar owners from El Dorado oh and I sat next to Kevin Keegan once on a plane and he bought me G&Ts (I was 15!)

mixedmama · 14/09/2007 16:04

I dont think I have met anyone famous.... oooo served Ewan McGregor once when i worked in a mobile phone shop and Angela Rippon. Saw a well known Indian actor in Regent Street. The guy from cold Feet, the large one, Dena from Eastenders oh and there was a guy called Richard something I think he was a presenter, a black guy Naomi Campbells half bro or something we used to go clubbin in the same place.

Naetha · 14/09/2007 16:21

lol at Hunter - my friend snogged Chesney Hawkes once

We saw Tony Wright from Terrorvision out with his missus and kids at our local pub the other day - hardly a celeb spot unless you're in Bradford though!

Time for another one of those "my body is doing a weird thing" questions...

When you lean over backwards (i.e. using your stomach muscles to hold yourself up, does your tummy look really odd? I seem to have lost all my usual muscles (hah!) and now just have this huge ridge of muscle that runs down from my breast bone to my belly button. Anyone else have this? Seems really odd!

MrsMcJnr · 14/09/2007 16:32

Naetha - you are scaring me with that position, physio told us to not use the vertical muscles in our tummies if at all possible as they can separate and form a dome in the middle! hence rolling out of bed and using your arms not tummy muscles to get you out of the bath.

Naetha · 14/09/2007 16:38

Hmm that sounds like its exactly whats happened with mine - eek!

Might bring it up with the MW on weds...

fruitful · 14/09/2007 16:44

Well, I've got a penis now too... Sabinar, till you said, I'd never thought about it and now I'm going to giggle about till the baby is born!

Scan this morning, and yes its a boy, which dd is a bit sad about. Will prob make things a bit easier with sharing bedrooms / toys later on though (have dd 5.5 and ds 2.5).

Baby is completely fine - it's amazing how clear the scan is! He spent most of the time playing with his toes which was very sweet.

The downside is that I have placenta praevia again, in a position that makes it unlikely to move. So have to prepare myself for a December baby I think!

Oh no, we've got to think of boys names now.

mixedmama · 14/09/2007 16:57

Hi fruitful.

Congrats on the blue one. Sorry to hear you have PP.... I had a friend who had this and i know it was not pleasant.

Does that mean CS? What are the chances of getting it twice? I had thought they were quite low.

Any ideas for names then?

fruitful · 14/09/2007 18:05

It does mean cs, but I've had 2 already and last time I had the start of a scar rupture as well, so my chances of a vba2c were about nil anyway!

They used to think the chances of getting this, esp twice, were really low but they are revising their opinion now - it is much more likely after a cs, and they are doing so many more of those.

Dunno about names - all the ones I like are in the top 20 and I was going to try not to do that again!

LilyLoo · 14/09/2007 19:44

evening all haven't had chance to catch up yet, been really busy at work , hope you all well

MotherofZ · 14/09/2007 21:56

MamaMaiasaura · 15/09/2007 08:53

Hi ladies, will try to catch up on thread. Was very poorly yesterday. Had spent Thursday evening in the bathroom and lying on cold floor and ended up at drs on Friday. Was not at all pleasant. Ended up having injection in my bottom to stop sickness end. I was very worried about pudding as had very high temperature as well but all seems well. HR 140 and he is moving around. Went to bed at 8.30 last night and have just had some breakfast (first food since Thursday) and so far seem ok.

Fruitful - many congratualtions on your scan another boy! Know what you mean about liking popular names. We were opting for Daniel but now veering towards Samuel. Also like Matthew and I like Elliot but been out voted.

fruitful · 15/09/2007 12:10

Oh poor you Awen, sounds horrid. Is that pg-sickness going overboard or have you got a bug?

mixedmama · 15/09/2007 13:01

Ahh Awen that is awful... hope you feel better hun.

MamaMaiasaura · 15/09/2007 14:46

Not sure tho. Am going to stop now as too tired. Hope you all have nice weekend and enjoy sunshine. x
