Oh my goodness am really trying to keep up but now i am in court I have no email until the evening and it is almost impossible to keep up.

The nursery/study argument has continued all week with neither of us backing down, barristermum its vinyl for you and work stuff and arsenal memorabiia that i am unable to get him to shift. Have bought nothing at all or done anything to nursery as at the moment there isnt one to do anything with argggh.

I am wondering if after scan on the 28th he might relax a bit - I really think the main problem is he doesnt want to tempt fate as he is so pleased and excited - unfortunate consequence is he is driving me mad.

Went to midwife this week baby heart beat all good - am still being sick on occasions and the nausea continues - please may i not have it for 9 months. Coldsores are also on the return and to add to my delights i am suffering from really bad pains under my sternum and top part of my back - i wonder if it is scar tissue stretching from all the scar tissue from previous removal of organ ops??? Anyone else getting anything similar??

On smart stuff for work - Formes is expensive but does hvae a very good pencil skirt which is very comfy and flatering.

baby is very very wriggly makes me laugh as it is such a strange feeling.

Sorry cant make pizza express but my sisters 30th was booked first!! (about 30 years ago). Maybe there will be another one??

My beetle is sold I have to hand it over this weekend so am trying to make the most of my last week of convertible status. Also not bought anything else yet so thats my next job.

Hope everyone is well

mixedmama · 13/09/2007 18:22

nicky6 - i still vomit occasionally and get nauseous so i think it is here to stay unfortunately so really feel for you.

ladylush · 13/09/2007 23:04

Hi barristermum

beller · 14/09/2007 07:39

Morning all...

Gingeme - Im not used to being up at that time either, 9 o clock is my bed time!

Nicky6 - Well done on the sale of the car!! Hope youre feeling better soon, not sure if i said bfore, but nail varnish remover on a q-tip is fab for getting rid of coldsores quickly...slightly painful, but works!

Well what are we all up to at the weekend? I have no plans tonight...buying new carpets tom. My BIL has done a fab job of Finding Nemo on the nursery wall, It really is great, will take a pic and pop it up here! Im at a charity do saturday night, then baby shoping on sunday with my sisters. (not for a baby you understand...just accesories! ) I also have monday off to spend with little sister and baby Charlie, Cant wait.
Hope you all have a good weekend, and hope the move goes well Beckyau xxx

Morning,

Not up to much Beller to be honest. Tonight the flat just needs a tidy up and need to get some washing done. Still trying to maintain my "perfect housewifey" mode from my week off.

Saturday my cousin is coming round and we are going to my mum and dads to book some tickets for a concert that is coming up in October - mega mega famous Turkish singer so excited as it is a belated bday pressie from my parents so dont have to pay and it is at Royal Albert Hall so going to be brilliant. Sunday DH will be off so probably just have a nice chilling family day.

MotherofZ · 14/09/2007 09:20

nothing much planned for weekend, which makes a change. Just looking forward to putting my feet up and watching some bollywood/hollywood films. Last film I saw was 'Blood Diamond' about a month ago....it's finding the time!!!

mixedmama · 14/09/2007 09:21

I really fancy the cinema.... but cant decide what to watch.

MotherofZ · 14/09/2007 09:44

bourne ultimatum is one I'd like to watch

OP posts:
mixedmama · 14/09/2007 09:52

Oh no.... DH has seen it thank god. Not my cuppa chai at all. Fell asleep in the first two. quite fancy Run Fat Boy Run, bit of lighthearted comedy. Also, they made a remake of sholay and altho i am totally against remakes esp any amitabh ones i feel the urge to see it just so i can get angry about it.

MrsBiscuit · 14/09/2007 09:52

No chance of a lazy weekend here - dh's dad is coming to stay and it's always a bit painful (he's very old-fashioned and very set in his ways). We've then got to spend Saturday at the Army Air Corps 50th Anniversary event, which I think will be mostly standing around being bored. The only excitement will be if I manage to cause a security scare by throwing myself in front of Prince Charles - look out for me on the news! .

Sunday will be lunch with BIL and his family, and trying not to get annoyed with his monstrous little son. I know that sounds harsh but honestly, he's a right pain in the bum. Kicking, hitting and food throwing - please tell me it's not normal for little boys....

mixedmama · 14/09/2007 09:53

so a british / indian film dilema for us as the local cinemas show both, in fact now i think about it they show turkish ones as well... how to get DH to a Turkish film????

mixedmama · 14/09/2007 09:54

mrsBsicuit... so not normal. my son is 18 months and all (well nearly all) of his food goes in his mouth.

MotherofZ · 14/09/2007 10:10

What sort of themes do they have in Turkish films?
Bollywood is more or less follows the love triangle route, although they have started to do some good action ones. There is a new Shah Rukh one coming out for Eid/Diwali time, which I'd like to watch.
That Fat Boy film is supposed to be quite funny.
Mrs Biscuit - DD (21 mths) does exactly the same - hate clearing up after her especially after she's thrown rice around and it gets stuck onto the wood flooring.

MM, I didn't think it could be - I see lots of other nicely behaved children when we go out for lunch. I do get a bit fed up coming home with broccoli in my hair.

mummylin2495 · 14/09/2007 10:12

sory to hi-jack this thread but can gingeme pop onto the scuttle thread please

mixedmama · 14/09/2007 10:20

MotherofZ - well the best era for Turkish films was 50s-70s and the theme in no uncertain terms was MELODRAMA. Turkish people are emotional old souls and love and i mean LOVE to cry, so basic storyline is rich girl / poor boy or vice versa some evil friend/brother etc tries it on with said girl and gets caught by said boy and he thinks she is willingly participating. Sometimes they are married so he will desert and she will have a child on her own then children will meet and they meet again and then one or both of them will die. So basically, key is to spend the film crying about how sad it all is and then cry that they died.

Hubby likes action Indian movies... but you know Shah Rukh khan gets on my nerves so much. I am so old school and a die hard Amitabh fan.

mixedmama · 14/09/2007 10:22

MrsBiscuit - I must say though he is better behaved with food than most children i have seen mainly cos he loves his food and doesnt want to waste it i think

MrsMcJnr · 14/09/2007 10:53

Hello ladies sorry I didn't get on yesterday, hope everyone is well - will try and catch up now!

Angechica · 14/09/2007 10:58

Anyone else had a mid - preg crisis or is it just me?

It's been like having eternal PMT this week (tears and irrational rage) which also means DH has borne the brunt of it.

Have accused him of being a bad son this week (I am closer to my family than he is to his own) and that making me worried he will be a bad dad! That's a really horrible thing to say isn't it!

I also had a go at the man in the shop near work about his prices ending up with me shouting "Your shop's rubbish" and running away so I can never go in that shop again.

I feel terrible

mixedmama · 14/09/2007 11:01

Angechica - aww. Yep I have rages alot so you are not alone. Just try to relax - rubbish advice I know as it isnt that easy.
