MrsFish · 15/09/2007 20:15

J20 - Hope you teeth/cheek/jaw gets better soon.

Nellie - hope you sort things out with dh.

Chocolate - 6 hours NCT I couldn't do it

Muppetgirl - how is Ollie now?

Had a nice day today, went out for a drive in the country, stopped for lunch and looked round an old house Haddon Hall its very near to where I live but I'd never been, so thats ticked off my list now. Ds could have behaved better, he has been quite whiney, and he didn't like looking round an historical building, but I suppose who can blame him This lo has been very active today, probably because of all the movement from the car on the bendy country lanes, especially with dh driving, its been quite uncomfortable actually, I was having to hold my belly to try and limit the movement the bh have been very uncomfortable too, I'm having to start breathing through them. I feel huge and ungainly and ready to pop.

(38 weeks tomorrow)

TheLadyEvenstar · 15/09/2007 22:43

Hiya peeps...

well what an eventful day I have had!!!! to start with I was awake at silly o'clock went back to bed and slept until 9am. I got up to see ds had managed to get cake crumbs everywhere arghhhhhhh my fault for having one day a weekend he is allowed what he wants for brekkie lol. Sat down to watch some tv and relax and felt urge for toilet. When I had been and wiped myself (soz tmi) i was faced with a load of mucus. Didn't think much of it until I realised there was blood there. Called good ole faithful mummy, then dp and then an ambulance. Got to hosp and was put on monitor, had a spec exam and cervix still closed but am having a show. So now I am on watch out for myself cos i no wanna stay in hosp lol.

Came home about 3.20pm and went to bed as I was shattered. At 8pm Dp and I went and collected the john lewis cotbed I had managed to get off of freecycle.....It is gorgeous!!!!!!!!

Just had a wonderful dinner {sarcastic face} of eggs, chips and beans which i really fancied but didn't enjoy. so now I am playing about on here before I head off to bed soon.

Hope y'all ok and spk tomoz xxxxxx

j20baby · 15/09/2007 22:50

unicorn-wow, a suprise homebirth, was you terrified?

mrsfish, i was getting quite bad bh's and had to breathe through them, but not had anything for a few days.

nellie- @ dh for you, doesn't he get that your full of hormones!

muppet- for your friend, its horrible isn't it

TheLadyEvenstar · 15/09/2007 22:53

J20, t'is a long time since i had ds and i was frightened was here alone with him. He was such a good boy for me, he got my suitcase and notes, and then went and let paramedics in for me. Mummy is looking after him tonight so I can get a good nights sleep.

j20baby · 15/09/2007 22:56

LES-i know i'm the same, was started off with dd, so never got to have a natural anything(show, waters breaking, contractions starting) i'm on my own tonight, but when i was up at 4am last night, dd came downstairs to check on me, bless her, and i think if she's here when i do go into labour she'll be really helpful.

get a good nights sleep, you'll need it, i really need to sleep, but been drinking lucozade again and my head is buzzing!

TheLadyEvenstar · 15/09/2007 23:06

J20 shhhhhhhh i fancy some lucozade

FloriaTosca · 15/09/2007 23:21

hi All
this is going to be as short as poss. patientline internet is pig to use. Yes, Im back in hospital bp 160/110 again this am, pill have it down to normal now but they are doing 24 hr urine check and threatening induction if it doesnt stay ok. Lo apparently fine.

more importantly Buffy txtd me, her contractions stopped yesterday but she has been bleeding since thurs and is on a drip because she cant keep food down, poor love. her LO seems ok apart from one heart rate drop so she is probably going to be staying in until Lo arrives. she asked me to send you all her love.

sorry cant write more, this keypad is a nightmare. thanks to all for you thoughts yesterday. l'll try this again tomorrow

MrsFish · 16/09/2007 08:28

Good Morning all.

FT hope you are out soon or either having this lo

Poor Buffy, hope all is well with her and lo soon.

ChocolateHobnob · 16/09/2007 09:05

Hi all

Floria - big hugs - hope lo comes soon cos hospital must be no fun!

LES - all action with you too! Good luck and keep us posted!

Buffy won't be reading this but good luck to you as well!

It seems to be all action on this thread this weekend...

Lisa, how are you? You've gone quiet.

Muppet, so sorry about your friend. It seems really unfair. I hope it works next time - do they know why it keeps happening?

Nellie, thanks for the reassurance about the NCT class and sorry about DH being irritable. I guess at this stage everyone's tired and it makes it hard to communicate normally.

J20, Mrs Fish - it sounds like it's going to happen soon for you two as well! How exciting!

Ejt, Alice, Unicorn, Jersey, Winnie, Mumpbump, Apricott, can't remember who else I'm missing out but hope you're all okay!

I'm still tired (this no sleep thing is getting to me!) - think today is going to be a home-day, doing food shopping then putting up some more of lo's room but hopefully fitting a nice nap into the equation as well! Nothing dramatic compared with the rest of you.

Take care!

lisad123 · 16/09/2007 09:10

oooo, looks like there might be a few more oct babies by the end of the week

I didnt geta chance to read all your post yesterday, so sorry if i miss something, you girls talk too quick

I went to ikea yesterday with my sister. I brought the lights I needs plus they had some lovely bright baby toys, so had to buy those

Buffy hope your ok too. Hope you feel better soon and that their taking care of you.

Muppet sorry about your friend. Its hard I know Hope your son is ok too.

Unicorn, thanks for link was good read

Choc, sounds like something i would do. I wouldnt worry about it, blame it on being tired, that works for me

I had a horrible nights sleep, kept waking up and feeling very odd today Hopefully should brighten up as day goes on.

Hugs to all that need them today

Lisa

muppetgirl · 16/09/2007 10:21

Hi all,

Ollie is absolutely fine i know i overreacted but i had a beloved dog (she was my baby before Ollie iyswim) who was bleeding slightly from her nose in the morning before i went to work. as i was starting at a new school i didn't think it would be good to ring in the first day and say i would be late taking the dog to the vet. when i got home 3-4 ish (inset) i found her in my jumper drawer curled up...she had died
It turned out it was rat poison and even if i had taken her to the vet in the morning things might not have been any different BUT i felt awful and said i would never let anything put me off going to the vets/drs/hospital etc. All i had to do on fri night was say 'megan?' to dh and he said 'right, let's go..'

Spoke to my friend yesterday and she's booked for an erpc on wed. They have been referred to specialist as there really does seem to be a problem. She was blaming herself and saying she'd let her in laws/everyone down. I feel so sorry for them as being prgt atm myself and knowing how desperate they are for children.

Hope all are well, I am at the gym (in the kids corner...) with Ollie as dh is playing in a tennis tournament. I am very uncomfortable and as I said to dh yesterday I don;t feel prgt, I just feel ill with all the aches and pains etc. Seeing mw on tues so will have a chat with her.

Weather nice here wish I was going swimming...

WinnieThePooh · 16/09/2007 14:31

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well today.

DP and I had a lovely day yesterday. DD was going to stay with her grandparents last night. so we planned to go out for something to eat. When we called about 6.30pm MIL asked if we were home and asked if DD could come home as she was suffering with a migraine.

They took her swimming this morning, but they are now on their way down to SIL in Devon until Thursday, so hopefully this LO will stay put until they are back as DP is busy with work all week.

I have done a list of phone numbers for DP to call or text when baby does arrive and put a couple of the numbers for this thread on it.

Have a good day everyone.

HonorMatopoeia · 16/09/2007 16:19

Hi ladies,

Apologies for yet another short post. I'm absolutely knackered as Dd1 still not sleeping very well. I've been feeling quite dizzy of late too and staring at the laptop doesn't help!
I hope everyone is ok, no one else has given birth yet have they?

FT and Buffy - hope you're both feeling better soon (feel for poor Buffy in hospital )

Take care all x

Well hello ladies! We have been away for the weekend for a wedding ? was going to login and tell you all on Friday afternoon so you didn?t think I was away giving birth or something but ended up having coffee with Chochobnob for 2 and a half hours and then was in a mad panic to get everything packed before dh came home! So no chance sorry?.. Off to catch up on whats been happening as haven?t read anything yet?..

alicet · 16/09/2007 18:59

Nellie ? I wish I had days when I didn?t feel pregnant!!!!! Just feel VERY pregnant all the time. I have moments when I don?t believe I?m going to have a baby though?.
Sorry to hear you?re feeling crap and emotional too. Big hugs?.

Floria ? hope you were OK on your dad?s birthday and your family friend?s funeral went OK too ? sorry you weren?t able to attend but it is probably a good thing with all that has been going on with you lately ? you and your lo have to be the priority at the mo. Big hugs to you?.
Sorry to hear you?re back in hospital though but glad you and buffy and your los and doing oK for now?. Keep us posted as much as you can x

Mump ? glad your blood tests were OK although sorry you are still itching like mad!

Re the raspberry leaf tea ? I took it with ds1 as tablets. Bought from a health food shop too. He came 8 days early and until my section I was progressing quicker than the 1cm an hour average. So not taking it this time as want to make my section date!

Colly ? great news about starting mat leave!

Jersey ? hope you had a lovely time on your wedding anniversary and that dh rememberered! Couldn?t even THINK about sex at the mo ? I feel so enormous and dh gets a bit freaked out when Adam moves!!!! So not tried for a bit? Good on you though!

J20 ? sorry to hear you have toothache to contend with along with everything else at the mo! Big hugs?

Choc ? Glad you met some good people at your NCT class as that was the main benefit I got from it. Sorry to hear you?re feeling overwhelmed though. Not entirely surprising I guess as it?s a big thing but big hugs to you honey?. Hope you managed to get the extra bit of frieze as well and they hadn?t discontinued it or anything horrendous!!!

Muppet ? sorry to hear about your eventful Friday! Hope Ollie is OK. Agree with you about not wanting to arrange for any visitors until after lo is born and you know how you feel! Stick to your guns ? most people will understand. Sorry about your friend thogugh ? that?s really tough.

Hello to the rest of you and hope you're feeling OK....

Hello folks, haven't been around for ages as work has been just mad and I have been too knackered at night to come on the computer. Finished work on Friday so hopefully I will be able to keep up with you all!! I did try to catch up but there are just way too many posts!

I had a scan on Thurs past there and apparently this LO is 8lbs already and I still had 3 weeks to go!

Sorry to hear from all those who aren't sleeping well I hope you manage to get some more rest before these LOs arrive. Hope I haven't missed any arrivals, its all getting very close now ans a little scary as a first timer!

Hugs to everyone

jersey · 16/09/2007 19:56

Hi, thanks for messages. Self induction not working as yet . Perm knackered as DS2 has decided not to sleep at the moment. Pumped up my pilates ball which I use as a birthing ball today and it is much more comfortable to sit on. Kids like it as well!

I think we have all had enough now, and although I don't want to go through labour again, at least preg will be over.

Good luck

ChocolateHobnob · 16/09/2007 20:08

Hi all

Inzi, good to hear from you. I'm glad DH is being such a star! And that lo and you are both fine.

Floria, are you still at home?

Winnie, glad you had a good day yesterday! Any more signs of lo coming early?

Muppet, so sorry about your friend, again. Hope the tests show something that can be remedied.

Honor, sounds like you've been in a bad way! Poor you. Try and rest.

Polar, 8 pounds already! I am convinced my lo is small but have no evidence to base my assumption on other than that I'm short and was a small baby. DH wasn't a small baby though...

Jersey, good luck with the self-induction!

Alice, glad you enjoyed the wedding! Sorry I contributed to the mad dash on Friday!

We've finished assembling the furniture in lo's room - I lent moral support and a bit of assistance today and DH was a patient star and it got done! I've moved my glider chair upstairs and have been sitting reading in it; lo's room is so peaceful at the mo! I know that will change (!).

Really hope I sleep better tonight. If I sleep I can work fine, if I don't, I can't, and it isn't getting any easier to sleep! Oh well.

Have a good Sunday evening all - as best you can, anyway..

MrsFish · 16/09/2007 20:30

Evening everyone.

Well we have had a very productive day, lots of tidying up and sorting out. Got out ds1's baby car seat and cleaned up the buggy ready for Ben
Ds has been a star, in fact the last 3 days he has been an angel, and he is eating his food again without a problem long may it last.
Took another picture of my bump as am 38 weeks today will be putting it on profile after this post, I feel huge now, put on 2st 9 pound now I have my work cut out to lose it after Ben arrives

Hope everyone has had a good day

FloriaTosca · 16/09/2007 21:49
