September 2020 babies?

EssJayyCee · 04/01/2020 21:32

I'd like to share my journey with some moms-to-be with a similar due date.

I think I'm due around 9th September 2020 but I've had no scans yet.

This will be my first baby after TTC for 17 months! With very irregular cycles. I was in the process of fertility appointments- my next one was to get medication to help so I feel very lucky!

I think I am around 4weeks+3 but I am taking a CB Digital in the morning to see what that says.

Looking forward to chatting to some of you lovely ladies!

@Elle81 welcome and congrats! I'm 39 next month too which is a little worrying then I see ppl everywhere having babies at same age so hopefully we'll b all good too! This is my second also and DD is almost 5. I haven't given up tea or coffee but I have switched both to decaffeinated. I assumed this was ok, am I right?

Elle81 · 10/01/2020 11:04

@Mcgootwo oh it feels great to know that I am not the only one in this age bracket! :) we will be all fine, need to stay positive and calm!
I have read that we should switch to decaffeinated tea/coffee but
I genuinely dislike decaffeinated coffee and allow myself one espresso per day; feel guilty occasionally after that :(

Mcgootwo · 10/01/2020 11:11

@Elle81 Oh I'm sure 1 per day won't do much harm ☺️ how far along are u now?

Elle81 · 10/01/2020 11:14

@Mcgootwo i am 5 weeks and a 4 days; due around the 8th Sept but I am hoping for an elective c-section due to my previous pregnancy and all the complications I had with DD

Mcgootwo · 10/01/2020 11:18

@Elle81 oh great, would be great to get a section planned to settle it mind if u had a rough time last time.

I'm 4 weeks & 6 days. I'm hoping for an early scan in next couple of week 🤞🏽 as I had a MMC of twins back in November x

Elle81 · 10/01/2020 11:25

@Mcgootwo oh I am so very sorry to hear about the MC :(
fingers crossed you get the early scan as soon as possible :) x
the days seems so long in the early stages :(

Mcgootwo · 10/01/2020 11:46

@Elle81 ah thanks, hopefully this time will be different x

Time is soooo long, and my patience is not 🤣

UrsulaSings · 10/01/2020 11:52

@Mcgootwo tell me about it!! I'm so incredibly impatient it will feel like I've been pregnant for about 2 years before it arrives! But am enjoying it while it lasts as I'm sure itll all seem like a distant memory in 9 months!

My friend suggested taking pics to track the changes which I thought was a good idea. She said she wished she'd done it more when she was pregnant.

I am having one coffee in morning then decaffeinated after that. Last time I went off coffee so might end up not wanting coffee in a couple weeks anyway.

So excited to be all on this journey at the same time!

onemoredaydone · 10/01/2020 13:43

Hi. I'm due around 18th September so 4 weeks pregnant. This is my second pregnancy first was miscarriage at 7 weeks (although no growth from 5 weeks) this was four months ago. Feel very blessed to be pregnant again however very worried with every cramp I get. Is this normal? So nice to see so many other woman due in sept. Happy pregnancy's first all! If you don't mind me asking where is everyone from?

SavanahXx · 10/01/2020 13:53

Hi ladies, hope you're all doing well, thought id give an update from my doctor's appointment. I rang this morning and the receptionist was lovely, she booked me in with the doctor for this morning. I explained about my previous losses how they happened etc and told her about mt anxiety about this pregnancy. I told her that the receptionist couldn't book bloods in without my doctors consent. She very rudely said "yeah well even if your hcg isn't going up as it should, theres nothing we can do about it so there is no point" when I explained about my latest miscarriage and not knowing I was pregnant to begin with, her response was "how do you even know you had a miscarriage without knowing you was pregnant then" whilst having a 'yeah whatever' face on 😫 I came out feeling heartbroken and stupid. On the plus side, she got a midwife to have a quick five minutes chat with me, and the midwife was far from pleased with how I was treated, she was very sympathetic, told me to ring the epu and explain about my previous losses, and if they won't take a self referral, to ring her and she will speak to them for me, she was abit naughty and told me to exaggerate my pains so that I get a scan and will be reassured.

I'm just mortified and have been made to feel so stupid for being as anxious as I am 😫😫

@onemoredaydone I too had a MC and every twinge I'm running to the toilet to check!! I think I will be like this everyday now

@SavanahXx some people can be so shitty, it sounds like for her she's luckily never had to experience a mc.

I'm from derby/Nottingham

SavanahXx · 10/01/2020 14:14

I should of made it abit clearer, I apologise, it was the doctor who was so incredibly rude. The receptionist was genuinely lovely.

SavanahXx · 10/01/2020 14:16

@Louisg it makes it worse that she was in her 50's ish. I walked out with my OH nearly in tears and all i could say was "well she clearly mustn't have children" 😫😫

SavanahXx · 10/01/2020 14:18

I have also just made my booking appointment with the midwife, 30th January at 1 o'clock 😄😄😄

Louisg · 10/01/2020 14:18

@SavanahXx some people just don't get it

Oh guys I need some adviceConfused my OH's parents are trying to book a holiday for 16th June with us - that means I would be around 7 months pregnant if this pregnancy continues.

We haven't told them I'm pg and don't want to, what shall I do? I dunno if that's too far gone but don't want to say no if this pregnancy doesn't stick

thistimeround · 10/01/2020 14:39

@Louisg I am so glad I'm not the only one going to the toilet with every twinge. I'm from Lincolnshire.

EssJayyCee · 10/01/2020 15:30

I had been really worried about my test lines not getting darker but yesterday and today I have got really good strong dark lines so I am feeling so much less anxious now! 😁

EssJayyCee · 10/01/2020 17:24

Not far from Lincoln. You? @thistimeround

I tried to look for your other posts on this thread but I can't find any, or was that your only one?

thistimeround · 10/01/2020 18:27

@EssJayyCee from near spalding and only put a few posts up. Had one under onemoreday but decided to change it due to previous pregnancy ending in miscarriage. I wanted a new username for this pregnancy. Sounds stupid I know. Hoping this one goes to term. Currently 4 weeks pregnant and due around 18th sept

B0220s · 10/01/2020 19:26

Hi, finally got my positive after a year of trying, and previous miscarriage Oct 18.
Very nervous and anxious but happy too.
Estimated due date 06th September.
How is everyone?
I'm having daily nausea but actual sickness only every other day, hot flushes and very dizzy where my heartbeats really quickly lol.
Looking forward to chatting to others.
