BelliniButterfly · 29/12/2019 20:28

I've searched for due date thread and couldn't find one so thought I would start a new one!

I'm 4+6 and due at the very beginning of September. I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old so my hands are going to be very full lol!

I'm wondering about booking a scan/harmony test for 10 weeks. Last time I just got the harmony test, without the scan, but it's only £50 more for the scan.

ShiningStarz · 04/01/2020 13:52

Is the harmony a blood test?

Dipsy77 · 04/01/2020 14:26

Can I join ? Just got a BFP only about 3 +2 weeks, I have a 16 week old, I'm not crazy honest !, I was trying as I'm 42 and wanted to get it all out the way while I still could. I have 2 older girls 20 and 22 by my ex husband it's complicated and there not talking to me at the minute !
I haven't told my OH yet he has just been made redundant so was having second thoughts about trying and don't want to panic him just yet so think I'll wait a few weeks till things settle Smile

HugeAgeGap · 04/01/2020 16:06

@ShiningStarz I read about this from a link this morning. The Harmony test includes a scan, £395 I think it was.

ShiningStarz · 04/01/2020 16:08

Congrats @Dipsy77

ShiningStarz · 04/01/2020 16:10

I’m feeling crampy almost like af cramps 😩
Boobs still v sore.
Just want to get over the next few weeks and I’ll feel more hopeful 🤞

ShiningStarz · 04/01/2020 16:12

@HugeAgeGap I’ll see my GP on Monday and I’ll probably have an hcg on Monday and again a few days later just to make sure it’s doubling and high enough!
I’m petrified!
I’ll be going private as I’m 38 and any test they can offer I will take xx

Roxy8203 · 04/01/2020 16:19

@ShiningStarz congratulations!
I also had an MMC in July last year and will be 38 in June so I know where your coming from. I'm trying to be positive and we want this soooo much, neither of us have children and losing the last pregnancy was heart breaking. I'll be having a private scan in a couple of weeks to see how things are going and also coz I'm so impatient 😕

HugeAgeGap · 04/01/2020 16:21

@ShiningStarz let us know how u get on Monday with the GP. Hoping it's smooth sailing for you x

ShiningStarz · 04/01/2020 16:24

@Roxy8203 I’m so sorry to hear what you have been through, sounds very similar to me. My partner and I don’t have any other kids either so we are both very excited and stressed at the same time!!
How far along are you? I’m 4 weeks today.

ShiningStarz · 04/01/2020 16:25

Thanks @HugeAgeGap !! Wish I could take a few weeks off and relax!! Wishful thinking!!

HugeAgeGap · 04/01/2020 16:28

@ShiningStarz yeah, know what u mean! What's your estimated due date? I just did the nhs website one, said 13 Sept. I'm back to work Monday after over two weeks off, not looking forward to it :-(

Threnody · 04/01/2020 16:34

Congratulations @Dipsy77!

Roxy8203 · 04/01/2020 16:36

@ShiningStarz I am 4+5. Only found out in Monday.

Chanel05 · 04/01/2020 16:47

Sorry to see that lots of you have had losses already. I had a mmc in April and it is truly heartbreaking so feeling very tentative at the moment.

NameChange30 · 04/01/2020 18:17

Hello and congratulations to the people who have joined recently Smile

Shining What a journey you've had so far. That is a lovely strong line!

Fingers crossed for everyone especially those of you with previous losses.

I am feeling exhausted and nauseous and sorry for myself! I did very much want another baby and was happy to get a BFP but now reality is kicking in I'm wondering what on earth I was thinking Confused Hated my first pregnancy and doubt I'm going to enjoy this one. It's a means to an end but ugh. I do think the first trimester is the worst because of the anxiety and the secrecy, you have all these worries and symptoms but can't talk to anyone about it. I'm seeing my sister tomorrow and will be tempted to tell her but should probably wait until I've told my mum first.

TtcanotherG · 04/01/2020 18:18

Lots of new bfp since last on. Congratulations to you all Smile

botbird84 · 04/01/2020 18:38

@Namechange30 I know how you feel, I've been feeling sickly and crampy for the past few days. I know the end goal will be worth it but a little part of me knows it'll only get worse over the next 8 months! 🙈

Also know what you mean about telling close family, I really want to share the news with my mum and siblings but worried I'm doing it too soon at only 4 weeks in? I would love the emotional support tbh!

NameChange30 · 04/01/2020 18:41

Thanks botbird I'm sorry you're feeling it too but glad I'm not alone!

I do feel silly for moaning when it's actually what I wanted Hmm And when there are women who have struggled and are struggling to conceive.

The guilt starts here and doesn't stop!

NameChange30 · 04/01/2020 18:43

Oh I meant to say that the second trimester isn't usually too bad. Obviously every woman and pregnancy is different and the unlucky ones can feel rubbish all the way through. But I definitely felt ok in the second trimester until the bloody PGP kicked in.

tallulahhulah1 · 04/01/2020 19:33

Wow this is a great thread. I didn't realise there was so many of us really getting into the Xmas spirit!

Can I join you all? Since 12dpo I got a BFP and still in shock I didn't really believe it till I took the CB yesterday on my AF due date.

Little bit about me
DP first child together
I have a teenager already so being pregnant again is like doing it for the first time lol
Last year I had a miscarriage so just really hoping it goes all well this time round.
Currently 4+2 days and I believe if my calculations are correct I will be due 11th September.

Lovely to see so many September babies for 2020, I am just hoping I can keep this under wraps long enough before I scream it from the mountains lol Smile

September 2020?
Sipperskipper · 04/01/2020 20:03

I’ve told a few people. Mainly work (occasionally work with cytotoxics), parents, and my closest friends. I did the same last time, as I thought if things don’t work out, or if we have difficult decisions to make, I’d want those people to support me.

HugeAgeGap · 04/01/2020 20:16

TMI post:

14dpo today, AF due 2moro. BFPs at 10,12 and 13 dpo. Today.... CM with brown blood. Anyone else had this? :-( just started this eve x

Sipperskipper · 04/01/2020 20:22

@HugeAgeGap I had this the day I got my bfp (not sure about dpo though, but think I was due on that day or the next day). Sorry for TMI but it was a small amount, but I had to wear a pad. Almost like the start of AF, but it never ‘got going’ if that makes sense. I had the same at the same time when pregnant with DD, and from what I looked up, it sounded like an implantation bleed.
