I've searched for due date thread and couldn't find one so thought I would start a new one!

I'm 4+6 and due at the very beginning of September. I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old so my hands are going to be very full lol!

@Dipsy77 Hi girl!
That sound really nice!
I think many of us have the same due date so it will be so exciting! I am definitely with that idea 😍 also we can add if it is first child or not?

Xx

Hello everyone, Happy Sunday. How are you all feeling?

@ShiningStarz Keeping everything crossed for you! Rest up! I found EPU to be quite unhelpful...but do call them if you need too.

@Maybebaby2 I hear you! I have periods of time throughout the day where I cannot tolerate anything. Im unreasonable and snappy and just cross at everything!

@piper1879 what an accurate way of describing the feeling! A hangover is literally it!

glasha87 · 19/01/2020 11:58

@ HugeAgeGao - I would love a crystal ball that could predict her reaction. My 11 year old has never expressed a desire to have a sibling, in fact, she’s expressed the opposite! It sounds like it may go down slightly better in your household Grin

I’m going to try and wait until mid-way into the second trimester - 20weeks, all going well, and after having a few scans to tell her (and everyone else).

I think I will buy her a necklace or something symbolic to mark the occasion and have a good chat over a mug of hot chocolate!

ShiningStarz · 19/01/2020 12:00

Hi @babytrain89
I phoned my consultant and he said at this stage there is nothing I can do. It’s a waiting game. Iv appt to see him on Wed so I’m just holding on.
Iv a bad feeling but trying to remain positive!
Will update later in the week, xx

Maybebaby2 · 19/01/2020 12:18

@glasha87 congratulations! Thats lovely your partner is so excited even though it was a shock! I've still not told my DH he's going to lose his shit over it.... even though we had been trying we gave up for a few months so its going to be a bit of a shock and then he's going to worry non stop like he did last time 🤦‍♀️

@Dipsy77 yes good idea, I was going to suggest we did something like that because we did one on the January 2018 boards I was on. We can also add on when people find out what they're having 😍
Did you say September 2019 board though? Wow so will there be just 1 year between your last baby and this one?

Maybebaby2 · 19/01/2020 12:21

@Babytrain89 thanks I feel better knowing its not just me! It's harder because DH doesn't know so he thinks I'm just being moody for no reason! I feel better today though so hopefully it wont happen a lot 🤞

BlossomGem · 19/01/2020 13:08

Is anyone else constantly exhausted? But still struggling to sleep? I’m in bed by 8 during the week as too tired to do anything else, but often still awake at 10 as just can’t fall asleep. And last couple of weekends I’ve had a 2 hour nap during the day, which I never do!

Babytrain89 · 19/01/2020 14:02

@Maybebaby2 ah that must be really tough. Mine knows and is super supportive and generally just ends up making me laugh! Are you telling your DH soon? Sorry if I missed the post!

@ShiningStarz sounds like you're being very sensible in your approach. Great you have a consultant...my pregnancy isn't even technically 'official'until my appointment. Makes me so anxious!

Maybebaby2 · 19/01/2020 14:27

@Babytrain89 I've not told him yet because last time he was a bit of a nightmare. It was his 1st child and my 2nd so was all new to him but he was an absolute bundle of nerves throughout the whole pregnancy. He stressed about literally everything. It's out of character for him and it really took me by surprise! He was fine once DD arrived but I'm really not looking forward to the next 7.5 months of him worrying constantly again. So I've not told him yet to save him some days/weeks of worry and also to save me some days/weeks of him worrying! 😂
Who knows though, he might be completely different this time around 🤞

ShiningStarz · 19/01/2020 14:36

@Babytrain89 thank you ❤️
I’m anxious, emotional today for the first time! Iv told myself that I can’t change anything and if it is an early MC then it’s my body’s way of deciding it’s not Meant to be. 🤞🤞

Dipsy77 · 19/01/2020 14:59

@Maybebaby2 yes just a year between them, morning sickness is here with a vengeance thank god for nappy bags I was in the car and that's all that was to hand feel so I'll it's landed early thy is time I'm only 5+3 x

Sunshinexx95 · 19/01/2020 16:20

@BlossomGem
I Am so so tired i can't get enough sleep and I feel like my body has been hit by a truck! Also a little bit nausea in the morning but I had that last night too that was terrible

Mcgootwo · 19/01/2020 17:47

I have nausea most of the day yesterday and today. Haven't been sick but feel like it. I've light head, sore boobs and real bloated. I go to do anything today and 15 mins later I need to lay down and rest..... hope this is a good sign 🤞🏽

Maybebaby2 · 19/01/2020 18:32

@Dipsy77 wow so you have 4ish month old and pregnant with morning sickness! You are braver than me! But how lovely that they will have a small gap between them they'll be super close growing up 😀 Hope the sickness isn't too bad... keep those nappy bags handy! (good tip too!)

Anyone had similar spotting to this? It started off this afternoon with really thick cm, then it had a tinge of brownish pink to it, now its gone watery and more orange looking. No pain and I feel ok but it is so hard not to worry, all I can do is wait and see. I've read if it looks orange it's blood mixed with cervical fluid, so is that a bad sign?

GaaaaarlicBread · 19/01/2020 18:43

Hey, so I went for my early scan yesterday . Turns out I’m due 1st September . 7 weeks 5 days today. Little sea horse had a good strong heart beat. I’ve had such awful sickness ! Cannot wait for it to ease in the second trimester . I’ve been prescribed Cyclizine but decided to stop taking it as it wasn’t helping so I’d rather ride it out as much as I can !
Looking forward to joining you all on this journey xx

Goldie0109 · 20/01/2020 07:38

Hi everyone, just had my BFP and due date calculated as 29th September. I'm 30 and this is my first pregnancy. It is going to be v.hard to keep it a secret - I wish it wasn't so unusual for me not to have a drink 😂 We have lots of social events in the calendar - what is everyone using as excuses for not drinking? Or are you telling people? Xx

lastonetime · 20/01/2020 08:00

Hi all,
May I join? Got my BFP a couple of days ago, only really just sunk in, due end of sept

Had a MC at 7 weeks first time, Now have 1 DD who is 2 this month!
I had horrendous morning sickness with her, every day until 8 months so nervously waiting for the Sickness while trying not to worry endlessly Blush

ShiningStarz · 20/01/2020 09:44

Morning everyone!
The brown spotting iv had has been very on/off!! Hard to know if it’s early warning signs of an early mc or just the normal brown discharge!
I’m concerned as I don’t feel different! Totally normal. Odd cramp and twinge. Boobs still sore but not as sore.. iv a private appt tomo evening so I’ll update after. 🤞

Roxy8203 · 20/01/2020 10:02

I've got everything crossed for you @ShiningStarz. I really hope it's just the body passing some old blood and not bad news. Thinking of you x

Lazydaisydaydream · 20/01/2020 12:02

@Goldie0109 when I was pregnant with my son I didn't say I wasn't drinking, I'd do things like order my drink away from everyone and just get lemonade but if asked say I was on vodka lemonade. Or I'd take a small glass of fizz and just hold it until I could get rid of it discreetly. I think I also just said I was driving a few times. I think coming up with an elaborate excuse (or using the cliche antibiotics haha) just makes it more obvious that youre hiding something!! No-one ever twigged and in fact when I told one friend I was pregnant after our 12 week scan she was so shocked as she was convinced I'd been drinking on our night out Grin

This time around is easier as I don't drink anymore so no-one would even question it.

We'd had a few miscarriages and I prefer not to tell people, so that was why I wanted to keep it quiet. Depending on how you feel about that you could always just tell one or two friends and get them to help you hide it. Some people say if they lost the baby they'd want friends to know for support Etc, but I knew I didn't want that.

Congratulations by the way!! Flowers

ShiningStarz · 20/01/2020 15:06

Thanks @Roxy8203 I had a good cry yesterday and convinced myself it’s over. My partner on the other hand is super confident that all is ok!!! The brown discharge is very slight and mainly when I wipe. It hasn’t got heavier which is a good sign! I only have to wait 26hrs for my appt!!! 😩

Roxy8203 · 20/01/2020 15:11

@ShiningStarz sending positive thoughts that all is ok

Planeteer · 20/01/2020 15:17

Hi all, can I join? Got a BFP on Friday so due end of September. I have a DD, 3, and I am amazed by how much I seem to have forgotten about pregnancy! Really excited but trying not to get ahead of myself as things are still so early (4+3 today). Lovely to virtually meet you all Smile

JMill13 · 20/01/2020 15:39

@goldie0109 I'm in the same boat. This is the year my friend group all turn 30 so its going to be super fun over the next couple of months thinking of reasons why I'm not drinking. I don't drive so don't have that excuse. January is perfect cause I can just say oh I'm doing dry January after a heaving drink fuelled Christmas but out on 31st Jan and everyone's already said dry January may as well be over by then because you've made it over a month so you have to drink with us.
Feel like antibiotics excuse is too obvious. If it wasn't a best friend's 30th I think I'd just cancel. My sister is 40 at end of Feb as well so don't know how I'm getting round that one either.

lastonetime · 20/01/2020 17:51

Hi @Planeteer
I'm due end of September too, called to make my booking appointment today and the whole process has changed Blush

Like you struggling a bit to remember how I felt the first few months!

It's my birthday at the end of the month and we are having a family party, it's far too early for me to want to tell anyone but it might be really obvious!

I've got an early scan booked for 7 weeks so just got to keep sane until then
