Hi, just found out after a long time trying! Haven't really told anyone yet so thought some ladies in the same position might want somewhere to share symptoms/stories/worries. Doesn't feel real yet and that 12 week scan seems a loooooong way off!! 😂

@kersh33 hey, I've been eating non stop carbs and snacks foods due to nausea, and weighed myself the other day thinking surely I've gained half a stone. Pleasantly surprised to see I've not gained anything really.

However my belly looks huge at different times of the day looks like 5 months (only 10-+3)

You'll probably not gain too much more, but even if you do I wouldn't worry! Everyone gains at a different rate!!

@2019Mama

So sorry to hear this... Wishing you strength and solace xxxxxx

Hi everyone 👋
I’m 12 weeks today with baby #2 and this pregnancy has been horrific. I’ve got hyperemesis so was off work for weeks. Thankfully it seems to be easing slightly now but I still can’t keep anything down after 1pm ish, not even water. DD is 3 in July and I’m due on 19th August. Got my scan on Monday and I can’t wait, just keeping fingers crossed it’s not twins!
Despite having lost 3kg I’m still feeling huge and can hardly fit into any of my normal clothes any more.

megan81088 · 06/02/2020 06:38

Morning ladies! Just wondering is anyone still pretty much symptomless?! I’m 10+4 now and honestly I would have no idea I was pregnant! I had an early scan when I was 8wks and everything was fine saw a lovely little heartbeat but I’m so paranoid about missed miscarriage Iv booked another one for this Saturday and my NHS scan isn’t until 24th feb which feels like forever away. I’m so nervous for bad news at scan Saturday everyone told me how rough you feel in the first trimester and I know I should probably count myself lucky but is so horrible not being able to feel anything any advice would be much appreciated x

Zm2019 · 06/02/2020 07:03

@megan81088 I'm 11+3 the only symptomsis tiredness and weeing more. I get the odd stretching pain but I am not cramping or being sick etc. Just need to try and stay positive, which is very hard as I am the same. My 12 week scan is next Wednesday and all tho I am nervous as anything I am trying to keep positive. I saw heartbeat at 9w, 2hich helped ease me a bit. Try and not let it get to you. I have felt just getting on with normal day to day and try and forget as helped me loads.

GalaxyGirl24 · 06/02/2020 07:05

@ClaraLane Really sorry to hear you're having such a tough time with it! I hope that your symptoms ease off in the next couple of weeks. Hope your scan on Monday goes well also!!!! Mines not until 20/2/20 when I'll be 12+ 4. Can't wait! Like literally debating another private one before then as I'm so impatient !

GalaxyGirl24 · 06/02/2020 07:08

@megan81088 I was going to ask this exact question yesterday! I'm 10+4 also and I've had nausea on and off most days, a bit of retching but no actual sick, but yesterday I felt absolutely fine. And it really worried me! I'm the same in the sense that I keep telling myself to count my luck that I've not been having a bad time with it but it's also a double edge sword in that every time I do feel better I start to think the worst! My scan is 20/2/20 and it can't come quick enough really.

GalaxyGirl24 · 06/02/2020 07:10

@megan81088 also, I've had 4 private scans (6/7/9/10 weeks) and all have been fine but trying to hold out!!!!! Partner keeps saying it's only just over a week and half away but it feels like years

Lucy5546 · 06/02/2020 08:01

Hi @megan81088. I am so glad someone else feels like this. Im 9+5 and just tired and bloated all the time. I have felt a little nausea but nothing major. I have been tryin not to worry. My scan is not until 25th. I just keep telling myself to count my blessings but some days its hard

megan81088 · 06/02/2020 08:56

Thanks ladies at least I know I’m not the only one I’m sure I’ll look back on this and realise how lucky I am to feel so fine but some days I just wish I could feel something as a bit of reassurance! I’ll let you all know how the scan goes on Saturday I’m praying for good news and trying to stay positive x

GalaxyGirl24 · 06/02/2020 09:01

@megan81088 fingers crossed you have a lovely scan on Saturday 🌟 and @Lucy5546 I know, it's really hard to take the good advice and manage each day as it comes. I've never wished time away quicker than I am now! 😂

IslayBrigid · 06/02/2020 09:31

There is a theory that if symptoms are light you're carrying a boy! Will be interesting to see if that's true with this group :)
My nausea and fatigue etc comes and goes but I do have it very bad sometimes. I think it's fluctuations may be due to hormones doubling every couple days or so? Xx

ClaraLane · 06/02/2020 09:42

Ahhh I’m so jealous of you ladies with no symptoms! I’ve been throwing up since 3+6 so it’s been a looooong pregnancy so far 😬

WorriedButterfly · 06/02/2020 10:19

Thank you ladies - I so needed to see these non symptom updates (sorry for those still having a rough time). I was awake at 3am last night, trawling the internet for lack of symptoms at 11 weeks! My scan is onMonday and it can't come quick enough! Thanks

Mammasj · 06/02/2020 10:34

Hi everyone! I also needed to see this update! Despite only having a scan last Saturday, I've once again started worrying! Apart from having gained weight and having a huge bloated stomach, I feel entirely normal. I can't wait for the 12 week scan either! Mine is 21st Feb. I'm 10 weeks today. 2 weeks and counting! Xx

I also have a 12 week scan on the 20th, I think a lot of us will be in the same boat!

It is hard, isn't it! I have 2 business trips between now and then so I am counting on them to keep me busy and my mind off the scan. On the other hand, I'll probably be panicking about the coronavirus, so not sure it's much better! 🤔

Mrs71 · 06/02/2020 10:50

I'm happy to see these updates, I'm also exactly the same. Symptomless! I just feel so worried constantly about having no symptoms apart from a bloated stomach. 19th of Feb can't come quick enough. I am tempted to book a private scan but I'm so scared and anxious at the same time! 😭x

Lucy5546 · 06/02/2020 10:55

Ladies each one of you have made me feel soooo much better. I have been an anxious mess the past few weeks!!
@Mammasj i am exactly like you i am just really bloated all the time and feel like i have gained a little pouch in my lower abdomen.
I suppose the worry over the lack of 'symptoms' can be a symptom itself. I do feel sorry for everyone dealing with vomiting, food aversion etc but i also feel for everyone worrying too. I never thought it would be this overwhelming so early on

Mammasj · 06/02/2020 11:07

@Lucy5546 I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling this way. I think we're all having boys! 😂 xx

IslayBrigid · 06/02/2020 11:29

Did those who have boys already also have no symptoms previous pregnancies?? @Mrs71 and @Mammasj I think you have boys? @FoxtrotSkarloey sounds like you're also in this boat?

In saying that I have a good friend who had two girls and no symptoms of nausea either time for them either so it must depend!

@ClaraLane so sorry to hear you've had HG! Being sick occasionally and persistent nausea is worse enough I can't imagine being sick all the time and not being able to eat at all!! Argh poor you. Did you have this with DD1 as well?

@SavanahXx amidst all the worry I just what to say congrats on your scan! So exciting!!

My DP had said no to extra scans or blood tests to check the sex haha I really want to do it as I'm so impatient to know what we are having! But I guess it makes my decision for me. He wants to spend the money on something better! We are getting a doula which is quite pricey so does make sense I guess.... I just can't wait for the 12 week scan on the 19th!!!

My tum has definitely gotten bigger ... Need to get some new clothes soon. Anyone have recommendations for maternity clothes??

IslayBrigid · 06/02/2020 11:31

@GalaxyGirl24 nice to see you on here! How are you feeling these days? I'm feeling much better this week, emotionally! After a very rough ride for about 3 weeks. Seems I'm getting a bit more used to the hormonal ups and downs :)

Mammasj · 06/02/2020 11:37

@IslayBrigid Yes I have two boys and again, had very little symptoms with them. Mild sore boobs and bloating and that was about it really! So I'm quite sure this is baby boy 3 on the way! 😂 at least I'll be surrounded by handsome men all my life lol xx

Lucy5546 · 06/02/2020 11:42

@Mammasj they are my symptoms too. And i tend to cry fairly easily haha and for no reason. Oh im so glad i commented here. Its made me feel a bit more relaxed now. These early weeks can be so lonely. Anyone else have their 12 week scan around 25th?

GalaxyGirl24 · 06/02/2020 11:46

@IslayBrigid I know, I've been quiet on here for a while as I was trying to keep my mind off baby things as it was becoming obsessive 🤦🏾‍♀️ oooh you'll have to let me know how you get on in your search for a doula! I did wonder at one but not sure! ....in terms of how I'm feeling I'm generally okay now since about 10 +2 (so last 2 days I've been fine) but I wonder if I'll dip again. Still have the insomnia and sore breasts! How about you?....also, in terms of maternity wear I'm trying to avoid buying lots of maternity specific stuff...I'm doing floaty floral dresses/smock dresses for second Tri and then going into late 2nd Tri and 3rd Tri I'm going to move into body con dresses with floaty kimonos (as it'll be boiling! And we'll all be heavily pregnant!) and maxi dresses - all stuff that I could wear again when non pregnant. I'm only going to buy a pair of maternity black skinnies and maternity tights/leggings/underwear.
