Hi, just found out after a long time trying! Haven't really told anyone yet so thought some ladies in the same position might want somewhere to share symptoms/stories/worries. Doesn't feel real yet and that 12 week scan seems a loooooong way off!! 😂

So I went in today. Was scanned and they said I was measuring less than 10 weeks which I knew would happen as I have irregular periods so they did an internal and said they could see a sac and yolk sac but I was measuring 4-5 weeks so they gave me an appt to rescan in 2 weeks to find out what exactly is going on.

However just got back home and passed a clot which I think could be the sac, just waiting for the epu nurse to call me back and see what to do.

Mammasj · 21/01/2020 16:56

@2019Mama sorry to hear that you're going through this hun 😥 I hope you get answers soon. Thinking of you Flowers xx

ShiningStarz · 21/01/2020 18:43

@2019Mama I hope you are ok. If you are measuring 4-5 weeks it will be too soon to see anything so hang in there.

Well I’m very shocked, we saw our little peanut, heard the heartbeat and measuring to be on track. Back again in 2 weeks for another checkup. Fingers crossed things progress well. The brown discharge is not coming from anywhere near the sac so consultant wasn’t bothered by it at all!!
Thanks everyone for your support

2019Mama · 21/01/2020 19:18

Thanks guys.. they couldn’t work out where the bleed was coming from on the scan. When I spoke to the nurse after the clot like thing came out she said it could be miscarriage or could be the tissue that was causing a bleed that’s come out. All I can do is wait 2 weeks and then get some answers

kersh33 · 21/01/2020 19:28

@2019Mama Thinking of you - I can only imagine how stressful it must be. Hoping the next scan is positive for you. Thanks

Martina2311 · 21/01/2020 19:29

@2019Mama oh honey :( I'm so sorry you are experiencing this. I can imagine really well how worried you must be at the moment. How is the bleeding now? Did you receive a phone call from the nurse? Sending you all my love.

MostlyAmbridgeandcoffee · 21/01/2020 19:58

@2019Mama hope you get a positive result - like others have said you don’t know until you know

MostlyAmbridgeandcoffee · 21/01/2020 19:59

Anyone else self referred to hospital and not heard anything ? Coming up to 7 weeks now for me and I self referred more than 2 weeks ago and not heard anything (no booking in appt with local midwives or scan scheduled). When you call you can only speak to a vmx and no one calls you back! I’m Thomases London in case anyone else is!!

Vialarooski · 21/01/2020 20:05

Hi everyone, I've just been catching up with all the messages. @2019Mama I'm so sorry your going through this, I'll be thinking of you and sending you love. It's rotten that you've got to wait 2 weeks for answers. I really hope your ok x

Minniemee · 21/01/2020 20:45

@2019Mama I'm keeping absolutely everything crossed for you and sending you strength Star hoping you get some positive answers in 2 weeks

Mrs71 · 22/01/2020 12:44

@2019Mama I really hope everything goes well with you. It's so difficult waiting 2 weeks for answers sending you lots of love.

@WorriedButterfly I'm 8+5 today and feel so worried too all the time. It's driving me insane, I'm considering booking a private scan for tomorrow they have slots available. My husband keeps telling me to wait 3 weeks till 12 week scan but I don't think I can. I just don't feel pregnant at all and constantly worrying about silly little things.

Mammasj · 22/01/2020 13:18

@Mrs71 I'm worrying too 😢 it's horrible isn't it. I don't think we will relax at all until after the 12 week scan. I was going to book my private scan for this Saturday (8+1) but I think I'm going to hold out until next Saturday instead (9+1). I have my midwife booking in appointment this Saturday. 9 weeks is a bit closer to the 12 week mark at least lol.

I don't really feel pregnant either. I haven't had many symptoms at all this pregnancy so don't let that worry you, that's totally normal. The only thing really bothering me at the moment is constipation! (Sorry, TMI) but it really is awful.

Hang on in there and book a scan so you have something to look forward to. Xx

ShiningStarz · 22/01/2020 15:27

@2019Mama my consultant wouldn’t have even scanned at 4/5 weeks cause there would be nothing to see. So please don’t worry, it’s amazing what 2 weeks can do!!
Hang in there. Xx

Vialarooski · 22/01/2020 15:35

@Mrs71 @Mammasj I'm feeling the same over here! I'm 8 weeks today and just feel really worried. Last week i was having comforting little twinges in my right, followed by sporadic slight cramps which i remember having when preg with my DD. But this week they've stopped and i just don't feel pregnant. ive been getting sickness towards the end of the day but i've got a throat infection so i've associated it with that. This first trimester is just sooooo long! I've got a midwife appt on monday (but thats not going to give me any reassurance because its just a booking in app), and a scan booked next thursday (ill be 9+1). I suffered a missed miscarriage before i had my DD, and i am soooo paranoid about it happening again!
Atleast we can all be paranoid together x

Can i ask, is everyone, noticeably, weeing more? I just don't feel like my toilet habits have changed much and they say that's one of the first signs: weeing more...

Martina2311 · 22/01/2020 17:28

@Vialarooski I havent noticed much increase myself. What I did notice is that when I go, I only pee a little. Dont know if Im retaining all the water or what. But I do go at least once during the night and its not necessarily towards the morning. Let's say I'd go before I go to bed at 10 and then I wake up between 1-3 am again. However I usually last then until maybe 7 am when I'm waking up anyway. But during the day, didnt really notice that much higher frequency. 🤔

Mrs71 · 22/01/2020 18:04

@Mammasj it really is awful, I'm just so anxious all the time. I have an over active thyroid which I'm on medication for and having blood tests every 4 weeks to make sure my levels stay in range which makes me even more worried. My midwife booking app is next Wednesday. I have regular acupuncture done too and she told me not to worry today and try hold out till the 12 week scan. I'll see how I get on but may have to book one privately xx

@Vialarooski it's the no symptoms that does it for me I'm always thinking how can I be pregnant lol. Also I'm not weeing anymore than usual. X

Mammasj · 22/01/2020 18:47

@Mrs71 Aw it sounds like you have a lot going on, no wonder you're stressed out. But I'm sure all is going well. On my two children, I hardly had any symptoms and was a paranoid wreck and there was nothing wrong at all. I was just lucky. This time I'm the same and worrying even though I've been through it twice already 🤦🏽‍♀️ Its so hard to control the worry. You're doing great, only 3 weeks ish to wait now, you got this! 💪 xx

JMill13 · 22/01/2020 22:19

Hi all, hoping I can join. Still haven't really figured out if I'm due end of Aug or beginning of Sept but midwife assumes based on dates I'm about 9ish weeks in now. I still don't overly feel anything. Slight nausea in the mornings or after being in the car/on the train. Sore boobs come and go, the first few weeks I was peeing almost every 30 minutes to an hour especially through the night, this week seems to have calmed down & i' ve only been up once through the night, but the crazy scary, annoying vivid dreams have been out in full force. Hope every is doing okay and everything is going well. Waiting 12 weeks to make sure everything is progressing normally etc. Is so infuriating.

Mammasj · 23/01/2020 10:50

Has anyone else been unwell since finding out you're expecting? I mean like colds, viruses, flu etc. I feel like I've been unwell for a very long time now with a really bad cough and cold, I usually have a very good immune system! It's getting me down Sad

Vialarooski · 23/01/2020 11:12

@Mammasj yes!! I've had a stubborn cough and throat infection! And stuffy nose since Christmas! X

Mammasj · 23/01/2020 11:19

@Vialarooski Aw I'm sorry to hear you've been poorly too, but I'm reassured it's not just my immune system that has floored. I'm so fed up of coughing now. I'm taking my prenatal vitamins etc so I guess it's just a waiting game 🤒 x

Mrs71 · 23/01/2020 12:36

@Mammasj thank you for the reassurance. 💕Maybe we are just lucky and symptomless. My boobs hurt if I poke them 😂. I have had a irritating cough for a few weeks which doesn't go away so maybe that's a symptom.xx

Mammasj · 23/01/2020 12:58

@Mrs71 another person with the dreaded cough! Maybe it is a symptom! 😂 I remember poking my boobs constantly throughout my first pregnancy to make sure they were still hurting! Lol I think maybe after breastfeeding two children, they have lost feeling as I've had no soreness at all this time 😂 I'm hoping it might mean a different gender but I really don't think it will be 😂 x
