Hi, just found out after a long time trying! Haven't really told anyone yet so thought some ladies in the same position might want somewhere to share symptoms/stories/worries. Doesn't feel real yet and that 12 week scan seems a loooooong way off!! 😂

I get so nervous before any scans. Iv had 2 already 🙈

Martina2311 · 17/01/2020 16:53

@CharlotteCx Me too...so nervous. I am just worried what I will find out. What time is your scan?

ShiningStarz · 17/01/2020 16:53

Good luck @CharlotteCx
I’m 5w 7d today.
Had a tiny bit of brown when I wiped.
Feeling very anxious.
I just hope it was a once off 🤞

Jessem29 · 17/01/2020 17:12

@CharlotteCx omg me too. My last one they coudnt find the the heart beat on the stomach ultra sound so had to do a internal. Thankfully all was fine but it was so scary! X

Minniemee · 17/01/2020 17:30

@Martina2311 exactly how I'm feeling at the minute - I am 10 weeks and 5 days and my sickness/nausea has disappeared, my boobs are only tender to touch not all the time.

I had a scan at 6 weeks where all was ok but I've convinced myself because I've lost all my symptoms that at the 12 week scan they will tell me it's a missed miscarriage Sad

Sending my love it's awful feeling this way!

IslayBrigid · 17/01/2020 17:52

Hi everyone. I'm 7+4 today. My symptoms come and go too! Sometimes I feel nauseous and sick, other times I feel fine, sometimes I feel really tired, other times I have quite a bit of energy... today I have a headache and have had a large appetite. In general last few days I haven't wanted to eat a lot but only constant nibbling would keep the sickness at bay. But yesterday and today I didn't have as much sickness and have been hungrier. But then last night I felt a bit ill and couldn't eat a lot.

From what I've read it's normal to have these ups and downs... I'm hoping we are all fine and everyone's first trimester is subtly different I'm sure! xxx

Laurab329 · 17/01/2020 18:00

Hi ladies! I feel exactly the same! My symptoms seem to have eased in the last few days, I’m 8 weeks on Sunday. I don’t feel sick at all which worries me, but the tiredness and headaches are still there on and off. I did start off with quite bad cramping which has completely disappeared this week. It sounds like some of us are having similar worries 😬 can’t wait to get to that 12 week mark now! X

CharlotteCx · 17/01/2020 18:33

@megan81088 @Martina2311 baby is all good with a strong heartbeat 🥰

BFP! August/September 2020 Babies!
megan81088 · 17/01/2020 18:40

@CharlotteCx amazing news so pleased for you! I’m hoping I get the same news on Sunday x

CharlotteCx · 17/01/2020 19:11

@megan81088 good luck with yours hun! Let me know how it goes xx

Zm2019 · 17/01/2020 19:14

Ladies, you all make me feel so much better.
I've been moaning to my husband saying isn't right. I dont feel pregnant I have no symptoms etc., we have out 12 week scan booked for 12th Feb. The day cant come quick enough. I keep humming and arring whether to book for an early one or not. Husband says your not bleeding it's fine. I said he doesn't understand how stressful these first 12 weeks are. X

Martina2311 · 17/01/2020 19:59

@CharlotteCx that's amazing news lovely! I'm so happy for you and hoping I get the same outcome on Sunday.

So how do you feel apart your spotting? Did you have not much symptoms before anyway or did they reduce?

Martina2311 · 17/01/2020 20:04

Hi @megan81088 thank you for your answer. I can imagine that symptoms fluctuate with intensity but I have a feeling that something is wrong when they disappear completely. :(

What time is your scan on Sunday? I'm going in at 9.30 in the morning. I should be exactly 8 weeks then and from 8 weeks they do abdominal scan. I'm just really nervous but I need to find out to either get a reassurance or at least know what's happening. I wouldnt be able to feel like this until my main scan in 2,5 weeks...assuming symptoms wouldnt come back.

CharlotteCx · 17/01/2020 20:19

@Martina2311 thanks so much 😍 I've had 3 scans now & seen the heart beat all them times and they've all told me everything is looking good so I think I can relax a little more now. Tbh I have been very lucky with symptoms. Iv only been sick twice and felt nauseous a handful of times. My main ones were tiredness, no energy and I lost all of my appetite, I hated all food & had to force myself to eat! And my boobs were sore to touch. My boobs seem to be a bit tender tonight actually, but appetite is creeping back. I hope your scan goes well darling.

CharlotteCx · 17/01/2020 20:20

Also the man who done my scan tonight said that it's completely normal for symptoms to come and go x

Mammasj · 17/01/2020 20:46

@Martina2311
Can I just reassure you that everything you are experiencing is totally normal. On both my pregnancies I often had days and even weeks this early on where symptoms had stopped altogether and I convinced myself something was wrong. I worried and worried and couldn’t enjoy it. But nothing was wrong, I have two beautiful healthy children. I am doing the same worrying this time around and deep down I know that it’s silly because I don’t know what’s going on in there and worrying certainly isn’t going to change the outcome. But I can promise you that I had long spells with no symptoms at all. Most days I didn’t feel pregnant at all. And this time around I’ve had even less symptoms. I had sore boobs on both my others to some degree. Absolutely nothing at all this time. But there are strange symptoms you wouldn’t think of too. I have noticed since yesterday that I am producing about 10 times more saliva than normal (it is horrid!) and I remembered having this on my first for a couple of weeks. Sure enough, an early pregnancy symptom. I’ve been spitting into a tissue all day 🤦🏽‍♀️ these first trimester weeks are so worrying, I’m right with you worrying too but please don’t convince yourself something is wrong. From my experience with myself and friends, all of us who get lucky and don’t have awful symptoms usually have boys! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Lol xx

Martina2311 · 17/01/2020 21:30

Hi @Mammasj thank you so much for your message, it was really reassuring to read. I am so much hoping that you are right and the scan just proves me wrong. I'd rather feel silly that I worried for no reason than finding out later weve had another missed miscarriage at some point. That's I guess the most worrying bit...as I had a MC last year and had no bleeding/pain whatsoever so I am just afraid this could happen again...that maybe my body wouldnt give me a clue again.

I have a son who is 7 and I remember that with him I only had one day when I got sick 2x in the day..very randomly. I dont know if I had any days of nausea but if I did, it probably wasnt too bad and my boobs were hurting just like now after the BFP but cant quite remember if they then reduced in pain too. It seams like long time ago and I cant remember much from that time, possibly because I didnt know that much information what I know now...and it was probably better like this. I just knew I was pregnant from a test and one scan at 5-6 week and that was it. Everything was ok...I didnt worry about anything and things were going completely fine. Just now that I am older, knowing more about what can happen and go wrong, I am much more anxious and more watching myself I guess. Which is probably not always the best thing but I cant help it. :(

Martina2311 · 17/01/2020 21:34

Thank you @Jessem29 really appreciate your reply. I know exactly what you mean, the reassurance I felt from the first scan I did, didnt last as long as I thought it would. Really hoping to find out good news on Sunday and prove myself wrong ❤

Mammasj · 17/01/2020 22:12

@Martina2311
Aww I know it really is the most worrying time. Nothing I or anyone else say will be able to ease the worry for you. We love these little beans from the moment we know they are there.

I’m so sorry to hear about your mmc. It sounds awful 😥 Miscarriages are much more common than people think and are totally heartbreaking. But just because it has happened before, definitely doesn’t mean it will happen again. You’ve carried a healthy pregnancy before and I’m sure it will be this time too. I totally agree that we just know too much these days. We read so much online that we drive ourselves crazy with worry.

How many weeks are you at the moment? I am 7 weeks exactly today. Not sure whether to have the private scan at 8 weeks next weekend or 9 weeks the weekend after. I think I had it at 9 weeks on my other two and it was a bit closer to that 12 week mark so less stressful afterwards.

Try and relax for the next 7 days, your scan will come around in no time. I can’t wait to see your update of good news 🥰 take care of yourself in the meantime. Xx

Martina2311 · 18/01/2020 08:50

Thank you @Mammasj. I am feeling slightly more positive today...had a chat with my partner last night and I guess I let it out a bit and it helped. We will just have to see what the scan shows tomorrow. I should be exactly 8 weeks tomorrow, according to measuring which I had at my first scan at 6+2.

I know what you mean, 9 weeks feels definitely much closer to the 12 week milestone. I have my main scan planned already for when I will be 10+4 so I just felt like if I plan one scan at 6 weeks, then 8 weeks and then the one at 10, the wait will be not as bad (well it still is) 🙈 I felt so revealed after we saw the heartbeat at my 6 weeks scan, but that feeling didnt last for too long. Really hoping for the best outcome tomorrow.

Mammasj · 18/01/2020 09:04

@Martina2311
Oh it's tomorrow! I thought it was a week away! My days are all over the place because I've had terrible flu this week! Lol That's much much better. I'm so pleased that you'll have some reassurance tomorrow and that you are feeling more positive today. I had a horrible dream last night so I'm feeling even more worried myself today 🤦🏽‍♀️ I'm telling myself to just chill lol. Have a great day and let us know how tomorrow goes! 💛 xx

Mrs71 · 18/01/2020 10:57

Hi why, haven't been on here for a while. I'm feeling exactly the same I had my scan at 6+5 and saw heartbeat everything was fine but I want to book another scan for this week again! I just need some more reassurance. I'm 8+1 today I feel like 12 week scan is ages away. I have my booking appointment come through for next weds so looking forward to that.

@Martina2311 good luck with your scan tomorrow, I feel exactly how you do.

SweetStrawberryKisses · 18/01/2020 11:44

For some reason I haven't been getting notifications so has taken a while to catch up!! I've felt really nauseous for the past couple of weeks but it's the tiredness I've found the hardest to manage!! Needing lots of naps! I have had the odd half day of feeling normal again which has been worrying - I'm glad I'm not the only one with symptoms coming and going!!

Had our booking appointment on Thursday which went well and I'm a low risk pregnancy. This morning we went for a private reassurance scan which was just amazing. Finally real proof there is a teeny tiny bean growing in there!! (The 15 positive tests just didn't convince us for some reason...) She's said we are 8 weeks which is what we thought. Now we wait for our 12 week scan which is on Valentine's day :)

Good luck to those with scans tomorrow :)

Ginblooded · 18/01/2020 13:15

Right ladies, can I ask if you're having mood swings? I feel so moody at the moment and it feels like my OH is pissing me off constantly, even though he's acting no different 🤦‍♀️ poor bloody sod

Zm2019 · 18/01/2020 14:33

@Ginblooded yes, I have been more snappy with him. Thankfully he understands.
