Hi, just found out after a long time trying! Haven't really told anyone yet so thought some ladies in the same position might want somewhere to share symptoms/stories/worries. Doesn't feel real yet and that 12 week scan seems a loooooong way off!! 😂

@mamablondie @EssJayyCee Hi ladies! Co gratulations on your BFPs! ❤ I dont know about others, but I just referred myself. Find it much quicker to skip the gp. There is a form online. Just look for your area in the list and click on the link. There should be an online form

@V1983 that's interesting about the school year in Australia. DD's birthday is in August - she had just turned 4 when she started in September last year (2018). I'm around 5 weeks, due date is apparently 31st August, so if that's right be on the cusp of the school year (all being well etc.) - either the youngest in one year or oldest in the other! But all that's a long way off so trying not to get ahead of myself with thinking about that stuff!

behappy123456 · 31/12/2019 11:09

due 8th august.

Sorry to jump on this thread - just wondering how everyone is feeling about the pregnancy? I feel bad when everyone else seems so happy - I'm suffering terrible sickness, and worse I feel so unsure whether I actually want this or not.

When I found out a month ago my bf of 6 months and i were really happy (although it was an accident). I'm 35, hes 40, first time for both, were financially secure altho not been together long. but as time has gone ive been less sure. I dont know if well make it through, not sure i want to be with him forever, not sure i want this but it feels too late to turn back, and i dont NOT want it - if that makes sense.

Just not sure. What do people think?

Martina2311 · 31/12/2019 12:33

Morning @CharlotteCx thank you for the breakdown! I'm so happy because today I'm exactly 3 weeks and my weekly indicator says 3+ already. I was a bit hesitant to do it today, as I thought it might only get to the levels this week but was too impatient and I'm so happy I did test. I know it doesn't guarantee anything, but it definitely gives you some sort of reassurance when you know your levels are going up nicely. Especially after last time, when I had a mc, the hcg was raising but at slower speed..I only got the 3+ result when testing at 4,5 weeks. So this feels much better! :)

CharlotteCx · 31/12/2019 12:49

@Martina2311 no problem ☺️ oh that's good! The 2-3 weeks indicator needs 156-2000 HCG and then the 3+ a minimum of 2600, oh I only got the 3+ Sunday 🙈 5+3 going by LMP. I would of got the 2-3 last weekend if I'd have tested cos my bloods were higher than 156. Iv got to go for a scan on 10th to rule out ectopic because my HCG was close to doubling in 48 hours but not quite. So I'm quite worried.

CharlotteCx · 31/12/2019 12:55

@Martina2311 but then the gyno who called to tell me about my bloods said they like to see atleast a 66% rise in 48 hours and mine had risen by 72.8%. And are obviously on the rise now as I have gotten my 3+ exactly when I was meant too. So trying to think positively 😊

Martina2311 · 31/12/2019 13:09

@CharlotteCx is that how they suspect an ectopic pregnancy? I always thought that by this time, you would start feeling different yourself. As in being in pain etc. But not sure, dont know that many people who went through ectopic pregnancy. Fingers crossed this is not your case-Im sure its not! X

CharlotteCx · 31/12/2019 13:14

@Martina2311 I always thought with ectopic
You'd be in immense pain & bleeding but apperently that's not always the case. The first indicator is the HCG not rising properly. I only went to EPU because one of my tests were fainter than they had been and I panicked, but they done one at the hosp and was really dark. How did you feel when you had a MMC? I feel like I have a hangover today! I felt so sick lastnight in bed too, it actually hurt my belly. I wasn't sick, but my god Iv never felt anything like it 🙈.

CharlotteCx · 31/12/2019 13:18

@Martina2311 the nurse did say to me that if I start bleeding or have any pain then to go straight to EPU but I haven't had anything, have little cramps but that's normal. She always said to do a pregnancy test this week and next which I have this week and it's still moving up so hoping that's a good sign. 🤞🏻

Mrs71 · 31/12/2019 13:49

Congratulations to everyone joining and all the bfp's!

I'm still feeling so worried as I have no symptoms feeling really tired in the evening and going to bed earlier but that's about it. I have been having fertility accunpuncture though and still do once a week so it can reduce the symptoms if I were to have any. But still can't help but worry, have my scan booked on the 10th I'll be 7 weeks that day. x

New2this19 · 31/12/2019 14:47

Hi all, can I book a 6 week scan even though I know my ovulation date, and conception would have only taken place 4weeks before?
Or do you still count from the day of last period when going for six week scans. I'm anxious to check how the baby is doing.
Thanks in advance xx

Amichelle84 · 31/12/2019 14:54

Has anyone paid for an early scan? I dont know if I can wait 12 weeks, I'm so impatient and just want to know everything is ok. We've been trying for 2 years with our first, and I'm 6w5d.

TwinkleStars15 · 31/12/2019 15:16

@Martina2311 do you mean that you are three weeks from conception (so 5 weeks pregnant)? Or 3 weeks pregnant (so one week from ovulation)?

Grazangelique · 31/12/2019 15:28

Hi all mamas-to-be! Congratulations! What a great way to finish the year! :)

I hope you don’t mind me joining. I found out I am PG on the 29th December. I was really surprised as I had all textbook AF symptoms BUT I did IVF so with all the medication I suppose you can’t really tell the symptoms apart!

Anyway, I have been quite nervous since - first IVF attempt and first PG so I don’t know what to expect. I feel fullness/heaviness in lower abdominal, mild cramps here and there and lower back aches. Does anyone else experience these? Also are there any other IVF mamas on the group? How do you feel? Re medication I am on 2 progesterone pessaires/ day, 1 arovi shot and 1 small aspirin.

Thank you xx

Martina2311 · 31/12/2019 15:37

@Amichelle84 I am planning to go at 7 weeks for an early scan but not booking one. I'm just going to walk in at Early pregnancy unit at our hospital. I went through a missed miscarriage last year and only found out at our main scan, so I knew I will not want to wait until the one at 12 weeks like last time. :/

Martina2311 · 31/12/2019 15:40

@TwinkleStars15 I am 5 weeks today (3 weeks since ovulation/conception) :)

CharlotteCx · 31/12/2019 15:42

@Martina2311 I thought you meant you was 3 weeks pregnant so only 1 week from ovulation and had a 3+ lol. So we got our 3+ at the roughly the same time.

Bonnie246 · 31/12/2019 15:46

Hello everyone,

First time posting! We found out we're expecting a baby on 13th December, due date is mid August. It was our first month trying so feeling very lucky and blessed but also surprised it happened so quickly! We've booked to go for an early scan this Sunday just to make sure everything is as it should be.

My symptoms so far have been tiredness and general lack of energy or motivation! Also have felt nauseous but haven't had proper sickness yet, also have a few aches and pains my boobs mainly but also in my back and lower tummy, not cramping but almost feels like growing pains! Aswell as very detailed and weird dreams! What have all your symptoms been like?

Im so nervous and anxious as we've not really told anyone except close family so I'm looking forward to speaking some women on here at the same stage! Smile

TwinkleStars15 · 31/12/2019 15:49

@Martina2311 that makes much more sense! If you got a 3+ one week after ovulation I reckon you’d be having triplets or more! Grin

CharlotteCx · 31/12/2019 15:51

@TwinkleStars15 how far gone are you?

TwinkleStars15 · 31/12/2019 15:59

@CharlotteCx I’m only 4+5 with a history of miscarriage, so very anxious.

Martina2311 · 31/12/2019 16:01

@TwinkleStars15 @CharlotteCx aaahhaha sorry, I should have expressed myself clearer. 😄 When I talk about the weekly indicator I tent to just say the weeks from conception because that's what they display. Sorry for the confusion. I'd go crazy finding out I am having triplets..probably twins as well 🙈

CharlotteCx · 31/12/2019 16:01

@TwinkleStars15 I know how your feeling. This is my first ever pregnancy but ever so scared of it being ectopic cos of my HCG levels. It's such a big worry isn't it 🙈

CharlotteCx · 31/12/2019 16:03

@Martina2311 haha no worries. You said earlier that last pregnancy you got a 3+ at 4,5 weeks, was that 4,5 weeks from ovulation or 4,5 weeks from LMP as the 3+ means your 5+ weeks pregnant.

Martina2311 · 31/12/2019 16:15

@CharlotteCx forgot to answer your previous message.

My mc was a missed one. Meaning your body doesn't notice the fact that the fetus stopped developing right away. We went for a scan at 11 weeks and found out baby stopped developing at 6+3 (just before Christmas last year). I didnt notice anything but now that I look back, my breasts were (as the only symptom) hurting less and less over time and I just felt "less pregnant" as sometimes women describe it. But I thought, no bleeding...no pain..everything is probably just fine. Finding out that I lived in the idea of pregnancy while it wasnt happening for a while anymore, hurt a lot. That's why, I know I wont be able to wait until the main scan. I know there is nothing you can do anyways, but I'd rather know sooner than later, if anything is wrong. The further I was, week by week, I allowed myself to be more and more excited and then it was a sad a weird thing, having that taken away by a few words and one look at the screen. It was a long process..took me 2 months to get a closure at least physically. But I do understand it happens, it's a nature. And it happens more than anyone thinks. But I dont wish anyone to go through any type of loss, it's a sad and exhausting experience.
