Hi, just found out after a long time trying! Haven't really told anyone yet so thought some ladies in the same position might want somewhere to share symptoms/stories/worries. Doesn't feel real yet and that 12 week scan seems a loooooong way off!! 😂

I've woken up again and my boob soreness isn't as much today again. I tend to really panic when they aren't as sore 🙈 but head fills heavy today so maybe it's swapped that for my boobs lol, I'm assuming everything is ok as I got my 3+ on clearblue digi so it's moving up when should be. Oh the worry's! 🙈

Mamaof4tobe · 30/12/2019 12:00

Hi ladies, i found out on sunday i'm pregnant with no.4. I haven't told dh yet cause i know its going to be a massive shock to him. Ive been trying to convince him for over 3yrs and he kept changing his mind.

My mum will probably come out with some really nasty comment so definitely don't want to tell her any time soon.

I think i'm due somwhere between 23-26th aug.

Mrs71 · 30/12/2019 12:17

Congratulations to everyone joining.
@Minniemee & @Crazypanda85 thank you 😊
I can't wait till the 10th it seems like ages away. x

TheBestXmasPresent · 30/12/2019 12:49

@Bezalelle we found out Christmas Day too! I’m due sept 3rd I think. So close together!

How are you feeling?

Today I feel sick and with a fuzzy/heavy head
I’m back in work now but just want to be home with the duvet haha

Bezalelle · 30/12/2019 13:01

@TheBestXmasPresent congrats!! Seems we're at exactly the same stage Grin

I'm feeling ok. It's the afternoons and evenings when I feel sick/sore boobs. Felt a bit muddled today on my driving lesson (not the best time for it!!)

It's SO hard not to tell anyone yet. Getting married on Sunday, and DP's sister arrived last night from abroad. Really wanted to tell her, and MIL, but we've decided not to tell anyone until after the 12 week scan.

How is everyone else doing today? Looking forward to New Year's? Luckily I don't drink so nobody will be suspicious when I'm on the sodas Grin

New2this19 · 30/12/2019 13:09

Hi I'm 5 weeks and 1 day. I'm hoping and praying that this will be our rainbow baby. Due 30th August.
Symptoms are coming and going which is making me anxious and now insomnia too. The wait for the 6 week scan feels like FOREVER!!!

Martina2311 · 30/12/2019 13:17

@Amichelle84 I can relate with the paranoia. I am only 5 weeks tomorrow but I miscarried last year around this time at 6w3d. It was a missed miscarriage and I didnt find out until our 12 week scan. I didnt have many symptoms at all, apart from sore boobs that gradually stopped being sore. So today because they are hurting less for the last 2 days I feel quite anxious, although I know it means nothing as symptoms come and go and I didnt even get to the stage when they typically get a bit more intense. But it's hard not get worried. We want to go for a scan in 2 weeks time when I am 7 weeks but it feels like ages until we can get some information :(

NCON · 30/12/2019 13:58

Hey everyone! I just got a date my 12 week scan on the 24th of Feb. No mention of any other appointment till then. I thought we would have a booking appointment around the 8 weeks? Wondering is that the first contact I will have with antenatal team 🤔 seems like so so so long away 😂

Martina2311 · 30/12/2019 14:31

@NCON I am sure the invitation to your first appointment to take your bloods will follow. I think with my last pregnancy I actually also received my scan date first, then letter for blood test followed a few days later. I had a blood test first and then about a week later had a first appointment where we went through the family health history, the weight, height, blood pressure meassurments, urine etc. I'm sure it will arrive soon! :)

Martina2311 · 30/12/2019 14:36

Thank you @Crazypanda85 that's really reassuring! I'm trying to think of it as that. That I should just enjoy the times that I feel more comfortable cause it may not last for much longer than a couple of weeks.

It's so annoying. With my first pregnancy 7 years ago, I was much more relaxed. Got my BFP and that was it. Had my sore boobs, then I got sick only once or twice after the 6th week...but cant remember anything else. I wasnt watching myself too much and everything was much better like that. Now that I'm older I feel more aware of what can go wrong and just more worried...especially since we had a mmc last year. I wish I could just relax.

Martina2311 · 30/12/2019 14:43

@CharlotteCx same here with the boobs soreness. I was actually feeling quite anxious about it this morning. Apart from my boobs I dont think I have any other symptoms. I did have a bit of acid reflux yesterday and the day before but that can also be only the amount of food weve been eating over Christmas. But just like you I find it a bit reassuring to test with the CB week indicator. I know everyone's hcg raises at different speed but last time I miscarried, the indicator was proving me a slow rise. While last week I had a 2-3 week result at 15 dpo and I am planning on doing another one tomorrow or the day after to see if it moved up to 3+. They say you shouldn't judge anything from the tests but what else can you so when you need to wait ages to be seen and get some information/reassurance in this country? 😶

katylou89 · 30/12/2019 14:57

Can I join in here please?
I got my BFP 28th December which makes me 4weeks+3. It's our first and I'm gonna waiting to surprise my husband tomorrow night at midnight 🥰

katylou89 · 30/12/2019 14:59

Prediction calculators make me due 4th September 😊

CharlotteCx · 30/12/2019 15:01

@Martina2311 it's really stressful isn't it! Mine really do fluctuate, I'm thankful that I haven't been very nauseous yet and will be glad to not have it touch wood! But I deffo would rather symptoms too know everything is ok 🤣

I have actually called Clearblue today and spoke to someone as I was googling what HCG level needed to be detected to get the 2-3 & 3+ and she said to get the 2-3 you need 156-2000 units of HCG in your urine, and then the 3+ anything from 2600 upwards! So it's quite a big jump, but shows the levels are rising. I've found the CB's to be quite accurate for me. They do say that after your HCG levels get to 1,200 that your levels take longer to increase.

CharlotteCx · 30/12/2019 15:04

@katylou89 what a lovely way to tell him! 😊

Lodex · 30/12/2019 16:18

Hi @Beth804 congratulations! I got a BFP on 17th December, first baby. Super excited.
How are you feeling?
I am so nervous and worried about whether or not everything is ok as I had a miscarriage a couple of years back so that's increased my anxiety. I have booked an early reassurance scan which is 11/01/2020 but I'm super nervous!
Is it normal to feel this way?
Every time I go to the toilet I'm worried I might find some blood!!! Crazy I know ...

Xxxxx

New2this19 · 30/12/2019 16:40

@katylou89 that's a lovely way to share the news with you OH

Loxylou13 · 30/12/2019 17:11

Thanks @IslayBrigid you have definitely reassured me. That and being sick as I got to work this morning!! 🙈
I am definitely going to start with the positive affirmations and imagine seeing it’s healthy heartbeat at the 12week scan!
I think having a distraction is also helpful. Being off work for the Christmas break meant I had a lot of down time when thoughts can run away with you. Keep busy ladies.

Congratulations to all the new joiners of this group!!!! And to all you ladies feeling nervous, I do recommend one early scan if you can afford too. We saw the heartbeat at 6+4 and it definitely gave me a lot more confidence so we could tell our immediate family.
Plus I’ve heard that once there is a heartbeat risk of loss does decrease. Although not sure what stats that is based on, anyone know?

Fingers crossed for us all x

IslayBrigid · 30/12/2019 17:16

@katylou89 congrats and what a lovely way to tell your OH! I'm also pregnant with first baby due 1 Sep so we are close together :)
@NCON I still don't have any kind of appointment as we recently moved so had to register first, now waiting to hear back from the midwifery self referral. I'm sure you will get a blood test appointment in early Jan :)
Is anyone getting a doula?? I'm considering it as have heard good things. Would love to hear feedback if anyone has used one before.... :)

IslayBrigid · 30/12/2019 17:22

@Loxylou13 just saw your post :) Very glad you are feeling more reassured! Sorry if you said already, but is it your first baby?

I do definitely think manifesting positively can really help. Let us know how you get on! I was very anxious after ovulation and before BFP so know how it feels to have that constant stomach churn... but best thing for us & baby is to feel relaxed. That said, stress is natural so don't worry too much if you are a bit worried... the worst would be to feel worried about being worried! Haha.

I was feeling a bit lethargic both mentally and physically today I think it's the intense hormones. I decided to go for short jog and it helped SO much so going to remember that. Just being outside helped. I think exercise will be key for feeling good (although if I get nausea we shall see how that goes haha).

V1983 · 31/12/2019 00:47

@ezridelmastro oh that's so funny first ones at a similar age and now the second ones too! And yeah I was born in 1998. We live in Australia though the school year is very different here, the children start school at the end of January at the age of 5 so my ds will be starting in a few short weeks. So excited and nervous too, especially as so much is happening right now.

How far along are you? When is your due date? Also have you told your d's anything? Or you are planning on doing it later?

mamablondie · 31/12/2019 08:08

Can I join? Got my BFP last night, I’m 4 weeks and 2 days ☺️ NHS calculator makes my due date 07/09/2020 ... this is my second baby.

Have people just called the doctors and gone from there? I can’t remember what I did last time - all such a blur!

EssJayyCee · 31/12/2019 08:18

Hi, can I join?

I am 27 years old, currently 3weeks +6, I found out yesterday after trying for 17 months!

I am in the process of infertility treatment! Next week was the appointment I was getting prescribed medication to help!

I am so excited and still kind of in disbelief!

I have been having cramps the last few days I just hope everything is okay!

EssJayyCee · 31/12/2019 08:20

I forgot to mention, it's my first baby.
And calculators say I'm due around 8th-10th september...
I have irregular cycles so it's quite impossible to figure it out.

Now I've had a positive test, WHAT DO I DO?
I am so clueless!

WorriedButterfly · 31/12/2019 09:09

Hi everyone! I found out just before Christmas so 6+1. Was holding off as I didn't want to jinx it, but really struggling with fluctuating symptoms, being pumped full of progesterone (IVF) and think I could do with a little extra support. I had a MMC at 7wks in May, terrified it will happen again. My mood just seems to have dropped since not being busy with Christmas. I wish you all well! x
