Hi, just found out after a long time trying! Haven't really told anyone yet so thought some ladies in the same position might want somewhere to share symptoms/stories/worries. Doesn't feel real yet and that 12 week scan seems a loooooong way off!! 😂

Hi Grin due 9th August! Very excited! 8 weeks tomorrow and nausea and exhaustion are in full swing. I feel constantly like I'm hungover! Had an early scan so we could tell family over Christmas and heard a heartbeat which was lovely. Went to booking appointment yesterday which was so thorough.
Also seems bizarre but I still do keep thinking....really I'm pregnant!?! Wonder when it will sink in haha

Zm2019 · 28/12/2019 13:48

@CharlotteCx I'm 5w2d and my boobs are so on and off. When taking my bra off I need to hold them and then gently release them. I am not having any other symptoms apart from feeling tired after doing housework. It takes me longer to do anything due to the rest stops. And I am weeing alot more.

Other than that I have no symptoms. Cant say my appetite has changed or sickness.

Is an early scan a new thing every one does. I have not know anyone to have one. I am wondering whether I should or just wait till the normal 12 week one.

Bezalelle · 28/12/2019 13:51

Hi! Can I hop on?

Got a BPF on Christmas Day, on our 7th cycle TTC our first. It was the first cycle I hadn't tracked my ovulation and cycle days, as we're coming up to our wedding (Jan 5th) and I was too busy. Looks like a more chilled approach did the business! So relieved, as I'm 38 and was getting worried because nothing was happening.

My first midwife appointment isn't until January 24th when I'll be 8/9 weeks pg. Seems like an age away! We've got the wedding and honeymoon to get through before that. Hopefully morning sickness won't kick in too badly.

I calculated my due date online and it's looking like September 2nd.

@Sipperskipper oh I am glad you've said that! I was really starting to panic! Even though my CB has gone up this morning I am still so worried! Over analysing EVERYTHING.

@Zm2019 I would say tiredness was my biggest symptom atm! I have lost my appetite if anything! I have been having really loose stools every morning too for the past few days! Not sure if that's coz of the rich Christmas food Iv been eating! It's weird coz I feel like I can relax when my boobs are really sore. Am I a freak? Haha 🙈

WeeDinah · 28/12/2019 14:11

Can I join? I'm 38 been TTC for 3.5 years. I have 2DS age 16 and 18, iv had 8MC in total. I would say I had gave up because lately AF has been funny, I can miss it for a few mo this at a time. I thought this was going to be the same case again this month but I started to feel very tired and by breasts were sore so i decided to test this morning and I got my BFP. Very strong lines and showed up straight away, I'll be due sep the 1st. Baby dust to you all 💐

Autumn20 · 28/12/2019 14:14

@charlotteCx I'm no expert but I'd say it's normal for all symptoms to fluctuate! Think no symptoms can be completely normal and loads of symptoms can be completely normal! I just feel more pregnant when I have symptoms haha

CharlotteCx · 28/12/2019 14:55

@Autumn20 yes that's true, and same! I like to have symptoms haha, although I wouldn't like the sickness! The sore boobs I can handle!

Martina2311 · 29/12/2019 11:05

Hey @WeeDinah I am due on Septeber 1st as well! :) You have a lot behind you, I am really hoping that, this time your little bean sticks with you. It would be nice to have a little baba again, since your older ones are quite grown up already :) Are you planning on going to an early scan?

Martina2311 · 29/12/2019 11:14

Hello ladies, I have dissapeared for the Christmas period, been so busy with everything. Its actually quite nice to be off work and just have some family time at home so I can be realaxed during these first weeks. Those who are going for an early scan, which week are you going at? I am currently 4w5d and thinking of going at 7 weeks. I know you usually get to detect the hearbeat between 6-8 weeks and thought I don't want to come too early without being able to see it yet but also probably not able to wait longer than that.

No symptoms here so far except sore breasts, and really sensitive nipples. I also did a week indicator test when I was 4w1d and it showed me 2-3 weeks already, which I am really happy about because last time I miscarried, it seamed like my hormones where raising slower...every week I had a lower result. I know you shouldnt really judge it by that, but I feel a little reassured. I also feel like its more intense this time as I had a really strong positive much earlier than last time whenI had a MC and also my nipples are just SO sensitive. I mean already at 4DPO I woke up out of nipple pain and realised I got these montgomery's tubercles. Its unbelievable how fast the body reacts right!

IslayBrigid · 29/12/2019 11:56

Welcome everyone. Lots of babies due 1 September it seems! Mine is too.
I just have sore boobs and I'm way tierder than usual. But no nausea yet. I'm 4w6d.

@Zm2019 yes it seems the early scan is quite popular these days. I think it's just really reassuring to see the heartbeat especially if you have had complications in the past with previous pregnancies or miscarriages.

I was thinking about getting an early one but spoke to my sister in law and my mum both of whom advised better to just stick with the NHS scans if possible i.e. unless something seems peculiar or you are very anxious. Their advice made sense to me so think I'll just do that unless something happens to make me worried in next few weeks. FX it is all ok! It's my first pregnancy. X

ttcAlex · 29/12/2019 16:43

Hi ladies, congrats to all. Just hopping on this thread as I had my BFP on 26/12, am currently 4 +1 weeks, EDD 7/09. I have two older DDs, this is my third pregnancy. So far I've had loads of symptoms which come and go with varying intensity. Its a new combination every day, just to keep things interesting Grin Today it's sore boobs, slight nausea, pokey feelings in my lower tummy and a super sense of smell. I could smell a man's cigarrette smoke from 50m distance in the parking lot Confused

Mrs71 · 29/12/2019 20:16

Congratulations on everyone joining xx

@Crazypanda85 how far gone were you when you heard the heartbeat. I have a scan booked on the 10th and I'll be 7 weeks that day. I'm worried it's too early still!

@Galaxygirl24 I'm exactly the same. I keep worrying about it and keep thinking hope it's not too early but I don't think I can wait much longer that 7 weeks! X

Minniemee · 29/12/2019 21:38

@Mrs71 I was 6 weeks and 4 days when I had an early scan and that was far enough in to pick up a heartbeat. Hope that helps x

Crazypanda85 · 29/12/2019 21:45

@mrs71 I was 7 weeks and one day and there was a lovely strong heartbeat. The place I had the scan advised it was fine to book after 6.5 weeks so I would think you should be fine! Enjoy it's the most amazing feeling ❤️

V1983 · 29/12/2019 22:11

Hi guys can I join too! I found out I am pregnant with #2 on Christmas eve at 10po. I am due around 5 September. Feel a lot more anxious this time around or maybe it was so long ago that I forgot how i felt the last time around (Ds just turned 5 in December). It's nice to share with others going through the same thing as not many ppl in real life know that I am pregnant.

TheBestXmasPresent · 29/12/2019 23:05

Hello.
Congratulations to all of you!
Hoping I can join along as I got my BFP on Christmas Day morning!! ♥️ Quite possibly the best Christmas present ever!

I’m so excited as I have wanted this for as long as I can remember.
Currently feeling waves of extreme tiredness, slightly nauseous with food aversions and hip/bum muscle pain(????)
Basically like a hangover or over indulgent Christmas haha.

Going to ring the GP tomorrow.
According to LMP I am due sept 3rd, meaning I am only 4+3. I can’t wait for the first scan so I can feel reassured + relax.

I hope you’re all doing well :) x

Loxylou13 · 30/12/2019 06:50

Hi Ladies,
I’m 9weeks today putting me at EDD 1st August so I probably one of the furthest along in this group but hope that’s ok. We found out at 5 weeks after 20 months of TTC so really happy.
Had an early private scan at 6+4 and saw a heartbeat which was amazing. Trouble is I now cannot shake a feeling of anxiety around MMC. My symptoms have also subsided a little, I even keep poking my boobs to check they still hurt (which they don’t all the time).
Any tips on how I could put my mind at rest. Is it worth getting another private scan? Our 12 week scan isn’t until 16th Jan.

Thanks for your help, driving myself insane here. X

ezridelmastro · 30/12/2019 06:59

Hello and congratulations everyone! @V1983 you have a similar gap to my as my DD is also 5 (although she turned 5 in August so slightly older and a different school year). If your username is a reference to your age you're the same age as me too.

It is interesting that everyone is talking about early scans, I might be wrong but I don't think this was much of a thing 6 years ago last time I was pregnant - I did have one but it was on NHS due to bleeding. I don't think I'll get one to be honest but I totally understand why others would, and I probably would have done the first time because I was incredibly anxious then. The major anxiety hasn't hit me yet this time, all feels a bit surreal still.

itssquidstella · 30/12/2019 08:42

Morning all, can I join in? I got my bfp yesterday and I'm five weeks today!

I haven't had many symptoms: mild nausea that comes and goes; feeling dizzy once or twice; constipation (lovely). My boobs look and feel totally normal though, but they never get sore during my regular cycle so hoping it's okay.

I've has lots of twinges since 14dpo - not painful apart from the first time, just a gentle pinching sensation.

I'm off to a wedding today; not sure how to hide the fact I'm not drinking!

A19C27 · 30/12/2019 08:46

Hi all, got my positive on the 22nd but confirmed it yesterday with a clear blue! This will be my fourth baby however first in over 6 years - everything seems to have changed I feel like I complete newbie again.
I’m not sure on my due date at I miscarried 2 months ago and never really had a proper period since but going by some light bleeding I had I’m saying the 28th August. The weekend I’m supposed to be a bridesmaid for my best friend 😬 roll me down the aisle anyone?

IslayBrigid · 30/12/2019 10:45

@Loxylou13 sorry to hear you are feeling anxious. I would advise that you try to do some calming activities to take your mind off it. I have found meditation, swimming and walking really good for this. Also writing affirmations and imaging best case scenario - manifesting it. All might sound a bit weird, and totally understand if it isn't your vibe but it can really help. Expectful is a pregnancy and fertility meditation app which is meant to be good.

If you can, waiting till the 12 week scan is probably best. You never know how the fetus enjoys the ultrasounds and having lots in first 3 months might not be good for it. Also, if you have one next week then you might get anxious again the following week anyway. Probably the best thing you can do is be in the moment, do things that you know make you feel good and calm, and have faith xxx

IslayBrigid · 30/12/2019 10:48

@Loxylou13 One other thing, I personally have not suffered a MMC but I imagine if one did, the body would continue to have symptoms as it thinks it is still pregnant... maybe someone else can advise? So if your symptoms are fluctuating it almost certainly doesn't mean you might have suffered a MMC.

My symptoms are also fluctuating a bit... I am no longer having cramping which I'm finding really weird as makes me feel like I'm not pregnant as everything just feels normal down there... boobs are sore but the soreness ebbs and flows... hope that helps xx

selenag · 30/12/2019 11:09

Hello all, I wonder if I could have some advice. I unexpectedly found out I was pregnant, just before Christmas. It was a shock but we are over joyed (although still in shock 😳). It is still early days but my boyfriend and I have booked a skiing holiday for the middle of January 2020 (I’ll think I’ll be about 8 weeks then) should I go skiing? Or should I just bum around the chalet and drink non caffeine tea? 🙈 I’d really love to go as skiing as I find it so calming and relaxing and a good start to the year. I’d love people’s thoughts xxx💚

Amichelle84 · 30/12/2019 11:17

Congrats all. I found out I was pregnant xmas eve after a long time trying, I'm still in shock and am so paranoid of miscarrying. I'm just over 6 week and have been nauseous for about 2 and lots of tummy cramps and my boobs killed up until a few days ago. I have also been having spotting (browny/ pink) for a few days. I'm hoping it's nothing as a lot of posts say it's normal...

Crazypanda85 · 30/12/2019 11:24

To the ladies who are slightly concerned about symptoms coming and going. I had exactly the same, at around 7 weeks onwards (which again is different for everyone I'm sure) my symptoms came and haven't left. Sore boobs, nausea and being shattered 24/7 now!
So don't worry, make the most of the good days-before you know it they will be there every single day!
