Hi, just found out after a long time trying! Haven't really told anyone yet so thought some ladies in the same position might want somewhere to share symptoms/stories/worries. Doesn't feel real yet and that 12 week scan seems a loooooong way off!! 😂

@f00k its pretty scary starting all over again, I was a young mum 1st time round at 18, 34 now.
We tried for a baby 6/7 years ago but it never happened, never went back on contraception & just assumed DH's baby making days were over Grin although he's only 41. In the meantime we got over the idea of having more children, so this was a complete shock!! We are both very excited now though. Timing isn't great as my 93 year old grandad has come to live with us, he was starting to struggle on his own, but I'm sure we'll manage.

@ezridelmastro I thought further tests were carried out if you were over 37? I could be wrong though

Jj2431 · 27/12/2019 12:07

Just found out I'm pregnant and think I'm roughly 5 weeks and will be due end of August

Minniemee · 27/12/2019 16:32

Is anyone else experiencing bloating and terrible wind?! My stomach looks like I'm already 6 months pregnant and it's so painful being this swollen, and I'm burping and trumping like a trooper but it isn't going down.

I've been suffering with morning sickness from the minute I get up to the minute I go to sleep unless I eat a little something every couple of hours, but with my stomach so bloated I feel so full I really don't want to eat, but forcing myself because the nausea is awful otherwiseConfused

If anyone has any remedies to bring down the bloating/gas id be so grateful Xx

Hi all, wondering if I could join in. Got my BFP Christmas day, if all goes well will be our first DC, AF isnt due till between 27th-29th so keeping fingers and toes crossed it stays away. According to app I'll be due Sep 4th! Only symptoms are sore boobs but only if I run/push on them 😂 have taken around 4 tests already so gonna try lay off till new yrs eve at least so AF will have passed and I'll try a digital. Sent off a self referral to maternity service today so waiting to hear back, want to book an early scan for around 8 weeks but scared to book it now and think I'd be better off waiting a few weeks 🤔 delighted for this thread as nice to know others are in similar situation 😊

Sipperskipper · 27/12/2019 22:33

Hello! Just found out I’m pregnant today. Having some light bleeding (althought had the same with my DD, now 2.5) so not getting too excited.

If all goes well will be due Sep 6th, although will need an elective section at 39 weeks, so may be late August depending on exact dates!

Mrs71 · 27/12/2019 22:51

Congratulations to everyone joining xx

@minniemee my belly is really bloated today!

@Galaxygirl24 my scan is on the 10/1 I'll be 7 weeks that day! I'm exactly the same as you so nervous and anxious all the time. I really need some reassurance.

@f00k same even just a tiny bit of nausea. My boobs hurt though so that's good sign. Just can't wait for my scan now. I do get the odd cramps now and again and slight back ache but that's all.

Beth804 · 28/12/2019 07:58

I tried to take a bit of a break from obsessing over Christmas, it's been hard enough trying to explain why I'm driving to meals with friends and nights out 😩 I'm sure they all suspect!

Congratulations to all the new bfps! It's such and exciting/worrying time! My boobs are still killing and massive and I've started with nausea now and again, so eating regularly.

I've been cramping a lot and can't shift the worry of an ectopic too.

Have an early scan booked for the 13th though, so counting down to that!

@Minniemee I've been really uncomfortable and bloated too, no remedies I'm afraid, but I have started keeping my top button undone and attached with a hair bobble! 😂

@Jj2431 @NCON @Sipperskipper Welcome and congratulations to you all ⭐️⭐️⭐️

GalaxyGirl24 · 28/12/2019 08:28

@ezridelmastro yes I'm a natural born worrier also so that doesn't help 🤦🏾‍♀️ the scannwill reassure me if it can pick up a heartbeat x

GalaxyGirl24 · 28/12/2019 08:31

@Minniemee yes I'm super bloated, when I told my parents/MIL they'd all said the same thing that I looked harder around my middle so they'd had an inkling 😖 I feel just the tiniest bit sick when I wake up but the bloating is worst as nothing will get rid of it so I've stayed well clear of skinny jeans as I can't bear the pressure on my tummy! Gonna pick up some ginger sweets, have you tried a cup of peppermint tea? - I know you can have peppermint and ginger in small doses in early pregnancy from what I've read online

GalaxyGirl24 · 28/12/2019 08:32

@Mrs71 hopefully our scans will reassure us, although I can't shake that I've booked mine too early and it won't see anything and that'll make me more stressed lol

Anaesthetist83 · 28/12/2019 09:17

Also joining the thread.

IVF baby - 5 day blastocyst transferred on the 12th Dec. From my calculations, this makes me 5 weeks today. Have felt sick since 5 days after transfer. 1st pregnancy. Have a scan at IVF clinic booked for the 10th Jan

FingersXssd83 · 28/12/2019 09:56

Can I join? Got my BFP this morning after 2.5 years trying including 3 IVF cycles, 4 transfers, freeze all due to suspect endometrioma and surgery 😭

Can't believe it. Been on a due date calculator that says I'll meet our baby 1st September. 7 week scan is booked 16 Jan.

So happy to be here. Putting infertility and worry behind me and looking to the future.

Let's get excited ✨

Alexw93 · 28/12/2019 11:40

So it's been 24 hours since we found out I'm pregnant. I thought I'd know how to react but I ended up in a state of shock!! I've felt nauseous for a couple of days and been exhausted but thought it was from being so busy over christmas.. turns out I'm around 5/6 weeks pregnant! Grin now the shock has worn off I'm really exciting and havnt stopped googling! Really excited to start this journey! X

ezridelmastro · 28/12/2019 12:14

Welcome Anaesthetist83, FingersXssd83 and Alexw93 and congratulations!

Hey guys! I’ve just had my BFP this morning! Can’t believe it...I’m on my way to tell DH as he’s been in work and didn’t want to tell him over the phone. We’ve got another full weekend of family visits to get through.
My EDD at the moment is 5th September!
Can’t say I’ve had any signs or symptoms so far, I have been tired but put that down to Christmas etc.
Congratulations everyone!

CharlotteCx · 28/12/2019 12:56

@Beth804 thanks for the tag!

Hi ladies I found out 2 weeks ago I'm expecting, was on 3rd round of Clomid due to pcos.

I done a CB pg test today to see if it had progressed from the last one I done the day i got my BFP which said pregnant 1-2, it's now saying pregnant 2-3 which works out correct.

My main symptoms would of been my boobs they felt like they were on fire and tender to touch! But since yesterday have calmed down a lot! Tiredness, I feel so tired like I haven't had no sleep! And felt a little sick the past two evenings! I'm worrying about my boobs not being as tender! Going by LMP I'm 5 weeks + 3.

Autumn20 · 28/12/2019 13:11

Hiya, can I join too please? Feeling a bit behind on the August thread! Im 5+3 today and due end of August. All being well, this will be our second.
Not many symptoms yet here other than sore boobs which seemed to have calmed down a bit now!

CharlotteCx · 28/12/2019 13:15

@Autumn20 I'm exactly the same weeks as you! My boobs have calmed down too since yesterday which is worrying me 😩

Autumn20 · 28/12/2019 13:20

@charlotteCx I seem to remember boobs being sore was the first symptom last time but dont think anything else hit until a bit later on so I'm not too worried symptom wise, but a bit generally anxious overall.

Are you having an early scan?

GaaaaarlicBread · 28/12/2019 13:24

Suffering from tiredness here too and sore breasts . I’m 4 weeks + 3 today , going for an early scan this time in 4 weeks just for peace of mind before 12 week scan .
Absolutely exhausted and on and off cramps but heard they’re very normal (not painful just like a bit of stitch) no bleeding or anything .
Can’t wait to see little bean on the screen and hopefully all is well !

CharlotteCx · 28/12/2019 13:34

@Autumn20 is it normal for boob soreness to fluctuate? Iv had a scan at 4+4 to rule out ectopic but they couldn't see anything as she said was to early! So going back for another at 6 weeks! It's all so stressful!

Sipperskipper · 28/12/2019 13:39

@CharlotteCx my boob soreness fluctuated when I was pregnant with DD, as did my nausea. I was constantly worried! Think it is quite normal though.

Feeling shattered and sick this afternoon but not sure if it’s just all the Christmas grub I’ve gorged on!
