New thread for our July gang 😊

Shall we do a little reminder of who we all are so we can see who is on here - Age, current EDD and if we know our 12 week scan date?

I'll start:

31 - EDD 08/07 - 12 week scan 24/12

I felt like that at the beginning but now im loving chocolate again :) im also putting weight on so fast, im worried i wont be able to get throught the door by the end of the pregnancy! :D

Chelsea987 · 17/12/2019 22:44

I feel a little sick n constantly needing a wee- however that is it so far-luckily! I only took a test yesterday as my periods were all over the place after coming off the pill! My last period was mid October though so been advised is a July baby. Our oldest is at start of August so hoping their birthdays are not too near each other’s haha. Hope you are well :). You got your scan date through yet? I only registered with the MW today but super excited xxx

LisaxMarie · 17/12/2019 22:52

Ah that’s good. I’m the same really. I feel nauseous just around dinner time but that’s just because I get hungry! I had one scan at 6 weeks and got to see the heart beat and my dating scan is 2nd Jan. My mum says it’s always best to find out a little later. Less time to worry too much! Hopefully the midwife will get your scan referral set up ASAP for you x

Rainbow2020 · 18/12/2019 01:50

Bloody heartburn has woke up at 2am !! No gaviscon just tablets hope they work 😫

Chelsea987 · 18/12/2019 07:01

Awww that’s something lovely to look forward to after Christmas :). Can’t wait to get our scan through and see him/her. Xxx

LisaxMarie · 18/12/2019 07:13

Hopefully won’t be too long! Will you be finding out the gender at 20? Xx

Nisha98 · 18/12/2019 11:42

Hi everyone, I hope you're all doing good. Is anyone else planning on telling family and friends their news at Christmas?

I'll be 12 weeks on Christmas day. We live 4 hours away from our families, so it seems like a good opportunity to tell them in person. I can't decide whether we should or not though - it's looking like we won't get our 12 week scan until after Christmas. I had a 10 week private scan last week and all was well, but I can't help feeling scared of something happening in the meantime... Can anyone tell me: in a missed miscarriage, do you lose your symptoms? Is it noticeable?

Dafs123 · 18/12/2019 13:06

@Nisha98 we're telling family xmas day. Iv already had 2 private scans but were going to have another Sunday when I'll be 10+6. I had a mmc in July and still felt completely pregnant. Even after I passed the baby took a while for them to disappear xx

Nisha98 · 18/12/2019 14:33

Thanks for your response @Dafs123. That's exciting that you'll tell family at Christmas. Best of luck with your scan on Sunday :) and thanks for your insight into MMCs. It's something I hadn't been aware of before becoming pregnant and have been feeling worried about it. I'm looking forward to this first trimester being out of the way!

PrincipalVernon · 18/12/2019 15:26

Can I join? Been reading for a while but have felt so rubbish with (all day) morning sickness that I’ve become a bit of a zombie!
I’m due 14th July with my second.
I had zero sickness with my first so I started a little smug thinking this time would be the same but I was so wrong!

Dafs123 · 18/12/2019 16:21

@Nisha98 they say your chance of miscarriage after a healthy 10 week scan is really small so I would try not to worry ☺️xx

Nisha98 · 18/12/2019 16:44

Thank you @Dafs123 for your reassurance! I appreciate that :)

susie12345 · 18/12/2019 17:25

Hi can i please ask a question . Im noticing a lot of watery discharge, in my opinion its a lot, sometimes it basically looks like im having a little wee during the day in my knickers. Is this normal? Or should i be worried and speak to midwife? Thank you

Dafs123 · 18/12/2019 17:47

@Nisha98 no worries the first trimester is the worst cx

LisaxMarie · 18/12/2019 18:17

@susie12345 I think it’s quite normal as long as it’s milky white or clear and not strong smelling. If it’s worrying you though it’s definitely worth mentioning. I’ve definitely got increased cm some days worse than others

Westiemummy81 · 18/12/2019 18:28

@Susie12345 don’t panic as can be completely normal however please speak to your midwife - I was 12-15 weeks pregnant and experiencing wetness and sadly what nobody looked at turned out to be my cervix weekended and I was losing amniotic fluid and at 15w 4 days I miscarried my little one - I hope you don’t meltdown as this isn’t to make you worry but asking a question which could come back as totally fine is better than not and regretting it as I did x

susie12345 · 18/12/2019 18:49

Thank you i will ring my midwife tomorrow, hope its nothing but it does worry me a little. Thanks

susie12345 · 18/12/2019 18:50

@Westiemummy81 hi did they do anything about your cervix? I read that weakened cervix can cause MC

RedRobin7 · 18/12/2019 18:59

@susie12345 Sometimes I feel very wet and worry I'm bleeding but when I check it's just CM. I always had lots of CM pre-pregnancy so it's just even more now! Do you wear a panty liner? I wear one every day otherwise my knickers are very wet.

RedRobin7 · 18/12/2019 19:01

I've got a sharp pain in my left side today, trying not to panic and just thinking maybe it's stretching pains or similar. Typical it started after I saw my midwife today! 6 more sleeps until my scan. Pregnancy after loss is so bloody hard!!

OP posts:
susie12345 · 18/12/2019 19:03

@RedRobin7 hi no i never did but im considering it now cos its quite bad and watery

susie12345 · 18/12/2019 19:05

@RedRobin7 i get pains in my left side i think its cos my baby is in the left horn so im freaked out a lot and scared too, i am tryinng to imagine if the baby is still there or if it moves about, i have a scan on monday and hope its going to be ok. I have not had MC as its my first but im so scared so can imagine you must be feeling a lot worse x

Westiemummy81 · 18/12/2019 19:34

@Susie12345 if they detect it early yes they can by putting a stitch in however despite me mentioning it they didn’t investigate which Is why my waters broke when they did 😭

Rainbow2020 · 18/12/2019 19:50

@Westiemummy81 have u had a stitch put in this time? Or is it not likely to happen again?

Westiemummy81 · 18/12/2019 20:13

I have tried every which way to get and stay pregnant and just couldn’t manage it so we decided to use a surrogate who is an amazing friend of mine who is currently 10 weeks 4 days with our little bean (our egg / sperm)

You would think it would be easier but I’m overthinking everything

EDD 10/7/20

If by a miracle this works it will be our 1st baby after 20 years of infertility and Ivf
