Headaches are a daily thing this week for me too, more so from 6pm onwards.
Tiredness kicking in but I'm also at my busiest time of year in the salon so definitely feeling it

xKirstyPx · 13/12/2019 19:02

Hi all!
I'm brand new mum, first time pregnancy, 13 weeks today and had my scan too 😊
Due 19/6/20
Very exciting and nervous too!

Just a little worry, sorry for the frankness, I had a bloody poop this evening, seemed a lot of blood with clots, but defiantly from back passage. Red blood.
I have a small pile which doesn't usual cause any bother, and the odd fissure when pushing to hard etc.
Baby wasn't playing ball today at scan so had to move around a lot and quite abit if pressing to get baby in better position. Not sure if it was the pressure from that that's caused the red stool?
Have had this before pregnancy and OH checked for me 😅 was just a fissure.
Any thing to worry about?
Thanks in advance mums!! 😘 x

Ah @MissisBee that’s interesting but obviously crap for you having had it before. My mum had it but was only diagnosed when she went into labour so ended up being a bit of a scary situation and an emergency section. I keep thinking the chances of me getting it must be low (I’m fit and healthy, no BP problems previously, BMI on the low end of normal) but perhaps I should take the aspirin to be on the safe side 🤔 I just worry about taking aspirin in case it harms the baby as they tell you to avoid painkillers in general 😏

hjbows88 · 14/12/2019 08:20

Does anyone else feel more pregnant as the day goes on?! When I wake up my stomach is relatively flat (though with a slight curve that never used to be there) but as the day progresses, regardless of what I’ve eaten or when, my stomach turns into a bump shape and I generally feel more pregnant!

APD1981 · 14/12/2019 08:45

@hjbows88 yes!! I'm the same. I still get also massively hungry and feel sick with it if I don't eat so I find that reassuring whilst most other symptoms has worn off.

billericaymumtobe · 14/12/2019 08:46

@hjbows88 I’m the same, not much there in the morning but by end of the day I definitely look pregnant and then back to normal the next day. I thought it was just bloating but happens whatever I eat during the day.

Zoey92 · 14/12/2019 10:26

@hjbows88 god yes i pop at night 😂

@APD1981 i also get that start feeling sick if i don't eat its the niggling headaches that getting to me atm

peetieswie · 14/12/2019 11:27

Same for me too. Don't feel I look pregnant in the morning but in the evening bump is definitely more obvious. Went to Christmas do last night and people were saying I had more of a bump than they'd realised but was cos it was the evening!
I'm still getting lots of twinges that feel like tiny sharp pain, not cramps. I hope that's normal.

BabyBird20 · 14/12/2019 14:16

@peetieswie I've literally just started getting these sharp twinge pains in my lower abdomen on either side over the last few days. Today seems to be when I cough or sneeze (which isn't great as I have a cold!) Hope it's the normal ligament stretching pin people talk about!!

chocolate26 · 14/12/2019 16:03

I get these pains aswell! On either side when I move too quickly or stand up quickly. I also get them central where you would expect baby to be! Like twinges, not overly painful just like a pinch. It does worry me but I think it's all normal by the sounds of it Smile

MissisBee · 14/12/2019 23:55

@hjbows88 aspirin is known to be safe and used for lots of different reasons. I had no risk factors before my first, must have just been unlucky

AmyMaria2 · 15/12/2019 00:37

@chocolate26 @BabyBird20 I asked my midwife about the sharpe pains when moving quickly, coughing and sneezing, she said it's nothing to worry about, hopefully the same for you ladies x

15+4

hjbows88 · 15/12/2019 00:42

I sometime get the sharp pains when sneezing (seems to vary depending on my position). Haven’t had much other pain or cramps although I do get discomfort but think that’s from gas/constipation.

Anyone else find their symptoms are decreasing now? Mine come and go (head headaches Monday - Wednesday but nothing last two days) but overall breast pain has decreased which was my main symptom before. Still get it in middle of the night when get up for a wee - quite a sharp pain in my breasts but the overall pain I was getting during the day has decreased!

chocolate26 · 15/12/2019 10:39

@hjbows88 yes I'm very convinced the sharp pains either side are ligaments Smile most people seem to get these. I do get sharp ones occasionally right in the middle but unsure whether these are gas pains or not! It's so hard to tell.

Yes, my symptoms are definitely subsiding! I was so sick from 6 weeks until 10 weeks and since then my sickness has slowly been disappearing, I still get it occasionally, especially when I'm tired and quite often mildly in the morning. I seem to get more tired now than I did at the beginning though, I really struggle to stay awake in the evening and my boobs are still quite sore! But I do have a little bump Smile that seems to get bigger as the day goes on, but it's definitely there even in the morning.

MissisBee · 15/12/2019 18:30

I get a sharp pain on my right if I sneeze without bracing myself first. Think I remember similar from last time.
Is anyone else on ondansetron for sickness? It's working really well for that, but my God, the constipation is unreal!
13+4

Smiffette · 16/12/2019 07:03

I've had twinges on and off, nothing to sharp or painful.
Luckily not had any sickness in about a week now, definitely settling down. It was only have the feeling not actually being sick.

15 weeks

APD1981 · 16/12/2019 07:11

Has anyone had their 16 week midwife appt yet? I have mine tomorrow (although I will only be 15+2 but it was rescheduled from Christmas Eve to tomorrow) and just wondering what happens. As a teacher, my school have to provide cover for me when I'm not there and I didn't know how long to tell them I'd be there. Any ideas? I expect it's a lot shorter than the booking appointment?

Smiffette · 16/12/2019 07:15

@APD1981 I have mine on the 8th January I'll actually be 18+2 by then but they don't have any appointments over Christmas.

My MW said it should be shorter about half an hour ish and they listen to the babies heart which is nice

RPPs · 16/12/2019 07:26

Morning Ladies
Its been a while. Loved reading through all your messages to hear how you're getting on. At the weekend I visited my OHs family for a pre christmas celebration and they asked how I was. I said Im feeling great bar the headaches. Both Sister inlaws were breast feeding and told me to enjoy this time as it is the best in pregnancy with very few symptoms. I said I was worried a little but on the way home driving from Nottingham to London I felt a strange wind like but more like a bubble movement in my belly. So I moved the seatbelt. Then later in the evening when i popped my feet up onto the sofa I had it again and when I looked down my belly was popped out where it happened. I've read that you feel movement between 18-24 weeks but this wasnt wind. So I went to my book which gives you a day by day insight into whats happening. Coincidentally it said that at 14+3 days the baby starts to hear your voices and that you may feel it moving in response to your voice. It reassured me and brought tears to my eyes. I wouldn't worry if you can't or haven't felt it yet because I think this is very early but might be worth tuning into those little flutters.

@xKirstyPx It sounds like you know your body but just call the Early Pregnancy Unit if your worried. They will reassure you. Also you might get a bonus scan out of it. Although I guess you are reassured if you saw you baby the same day.

Ive noticed that largely my headaches are tamed by drinking water. I think they come one as a reminder to drink.

APD1981 · 16/12/2019 07:40

@smiffette thanks for that. I hope it's shorter as I want to get to work. I have my last lesson of the year with my gcse class and we have loads to do!! I'm hoping that me being closer to 15 weeks than 16 weeks means a heartbeat can still be heard. I'll be gutted if now, considering they rescheduled my appointment! I assume my midwife decided to take Christmas Eve off!

hjbows88 · 16/12/2019 09:22

Has anyone else found they can tolerate foods again that they went off in first trimester? I’m back on coffee now having gone off it for a few weeks in my first trimester, for example. Was also craving potatoes loads during first few months but that has gone now!

chocolate26 · 16/12/2019 09:42

@hjbows88 yes! I completely went off coffee and yesterday my DH started up the coffee machine and I fancied one for the first time in weeks! Also fruit and veggies I used to love but went off in first trimester, I couldn't even look at fruit but now I'm definitely starting to eat them more Grin in fact all of a sudden I want to eat EVERYTHING!! I've put on 2 pounds in my first trimester though so I'm trying to stick to healthy foods Smile

hjbows88 · 16/12/2019 10:00

Ha @chocolate26 I put on over 6 pounds and as a 5ft woman who previously weighed 7 stone 2 (and haven't changed since I was about 16) that is a huge difference for me!! The 'problem' with having no morning sickness is that I was gleefully eating everything in sight for the full first trimester Grin

chocolate26 · 16/12/2019 10:21

@hjbows88 Grin how do you feel about putting on the weight? I don't even know how much weight we are expected to put on! I am 5ft 6 and weighed 9st before pregnancy and am now 9st 2. I had terrible sickness during the first trimester and still managed to put on 2 pounds, had I not had the sickness I probably would of put on a lot more! How much is normal to put on during the whole pregnancy?
I've previously had eating issues as a teenager/ early 20s so I have to try and not let these thoughts pop into my mind Sad

Smiffette · 16/12/2019 11:00

I was curious about weight gain too, although fully appreciate everyone is different!
I read that by week 15 (which is where I am) women typically put on between 5-10lbs. Ive put on 7 when I last weight before the weekend so I'm feeling ok at the moment
