@sao81 @mintbear The doc gave me metoclopramide tablets but said to not try and take them all the time. I had one last night to see how I felt and it seemed to help. Am out for a meal on Saturday so want to take one for then as need to act normal (which is very hard at the moment)

facevalue · 24/10/2019 08:47

@Raindancer411 how are you eating otherwise? i have cyclizine and metoclopramide. although they are both ok to be taken regularly i try to avoid so probably took 3 times max so far. please don't worry if u need to take it regularly. i'm impressed that u still go for evening meals out.

i have a GIN MAKING experience booked for this saturday which was an expensive birthday gift for two so i'm taking my MIL as a fellow Gin lover and hopefully she will drink mine too.. 2.5 hours making the stuff in a factory and not being able to drink it! 🤣 for at least a year! maybe more depends on breastfeeding .. u get a bottle of what u make to take home 😂

the baby is due probably due May 7 because i'll be having an elective C section - that's my wedding anniversary 🤣 ruined i'm gonna try hard to get a date before if after 😰 first world problems ... i'm terrified thinking what if i go into labour before my C section date 😰😰😰

@KerryM1983 nice to hear from you. i was wondering where u disappeared to but as a fellow ivf pregnancy i know not to ask because anything could happen in our journey xxx glad u r a little better .. try ginger tea and biscuit good for the nausea. for the back pain have u asked your midwife about physio? they can give you manual therapy and hydrotherapy i had it bad in my last pregnancy and tbh nothing worked apart from delivering the baby - it disappeared within 24 hours which if it wasn't my body i would have said that person is faking it. Despite me posting previously about the plan to have my hair done last week my hairdresser didn't manage to fit me in that morning ( i hadn't booked in advance) but i went yesterday had it highlighted and cut. i was disappointed with the cut so much that i was honest and said i'm disappointed ( didn't pay for cut) so now i'm going back for the hairdresser to try to sort it on 1 dec hopefully once it grew a bit more .. but so so happy with the colour and i feel 10 years younger already x goodluck with the scan i'm sure it will be fabulous - enjoy doing your hair please xxxx

facevalue · 24/10/2019 08:54

@Helensss awww so so exciting to have the scan! you will see your lovely baby xxx have something lovely to eat ( yesterday i had scrambled eggs, smoked salmon and crushed avocado on beautiful fresh grainy bread mmmmm yummy i could have that again 😍😍😍

mrsf1204 · 24/10/2019 09:22

@facevalue I had a gin making experience when I was 6 weeks! I've kept the bottle ready for when baby comes! And they gave me some ginger ale so not all bad. My mum got smashed drinking mine though.

I think I spoke to soon about the sickness going!!!! I've wretched a few times already this morning! Jinxed it didn't it....

Helensss · 24/10/2019 09:29

@facevalue thank you I really hope it’s there and all is ok! I had a poached egg on toast for breakfast but couldn’t finish it as my heart is in my mouth. Your breakfast sounds amazing, exactly the type of breakfast I love, will indulge on a nice meal later if all well ☺️

Sunshine8888 · 24/10/2019 09:30

Good luck @helensss and @sazzlerazzle xx

sao81 · 24/10/2019 09:38

Good luck everyone with scans today! X

@Raindancer411 im glad they're helping. Im on prochlorperazine but they make me soo dizzy, cyclezine make me drowsy, so think I'll have to change again Im barely functioning

Raindancer411 · 24/10/2019 10:29

@facevalue I can eat but I feel sick straight after and can only eat little and often. Drinking is the hardest of the issues. They gave me 3 x 28 tablets so will try to take one every other day maybe, just to give myself a bit of relief.

@sao81 Hope they can give you something else to try. I know how you feel.

Emmacb82 · 24/10/2019 10:29

Good luck those with scans today. I’m having a day of doubt today. My fat bump seems to have disappeared overnight, and I just don’t feel pregnant at all. I’ve never had many symptoms but just feel nothing. Just so sick of constantly worrying all the time

facevalue · 24/10/2019 11:55

@Emmacb82 how many weeks are you? when is your scan? have you had any early scans at all? i wouldn't worry because in my experience i had good and bad days. in terms of fat bump- even at 12 weeks the foetus and uterus aren't that big so you might have been very bloated ( wind) and it got better so less visible x try to relax 😚 hugs from me

@Raindancer411 the pill works for 6-8 hours only so no harm in taking three times a day if you are still feeling unable to eat and drink xxx it might just a few days then u start feeling better already x

facevalue · 24/10/2019 12:35

@mrsf1204 haha @ your mum getting all the gin.

Emmacb82 · 24/10/2019 12:45

@facevalue I had an early scan last Saturday so clearly it didn’t reassure me for long lol. I know I’m being silly, I was like this with my little boy so just got to work on my anxiety otherwise I will drive myself mad. Thank you for your kind words Smile

facevalue · 24/10/2019 13:02

@Emmabc82 you are not silly. we are all in it together. i am telling you my truth and hope it might reassure you. funnily i was completely oblivious in my first pregnancy with DD and i didn't even join any groups and went to work regularly. i did take antisickness and antiacid pills and was non the wiser but since having a MC in May i became too anxious and definitely expecting the worst 😘 don't be hard on yourself x your secret is safe with us 😉☺️

CurlyJB88 · 24/10/2019 13:32

@May2311 it went amazing thank you! I am still in shock tbh! I'd completely convinced myself it would be bad news. The baby was moving so much it was hard to get measurements lol.
Good luck for the others with scans 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Helensss · 24/10/2019 13:49

All was perfect!!! Wriggling around so much,
I’m in shock I’m so happy and overwhelmed

@Helensss fabulous pic! So pleased to hear your happy news. Are you going to share with some family and friends now or wait a little while longer? X

facevalue · 24/10/2019 14:04

@Helensss CONGRATULATIONS. beautiful clear picture. done with screening? or not having it done? hugs

Helensss · 24/10/2019 14:28

Thank you so much ❤️ I had my bloods taken for the screening so should find out in a week or so, I’ve just told my friends and family, waited so long I couldn’t hold it in any longer!! Xx

emiliet123 · 24/10/2019 14:46

Hey there! I’m due May 15th 2020 and I had my first scan yesterday. We originally thought I was 11+4, but it turns out we’re 10+6, so even though I have a tiny pic of our little spud, we get to go back in 2 weeks and see it again!
We told our parents last night and everyone was so happy - I’ve never felt so supported and loved in my life! I don’t know what I was so afraid of telling them for 🙈 at almost 27 years old and married for 18 months, you’d think I’d have some confidence in my own decisions!

Struggling with nausea and tiredness like there is no tomorrow, I’m sat on mumsnet at my desk because I can’t focus at work! 😩 all I want to do is go for a nap...

Hope everyone else is well and not feeling too rough! 💖

Sunshine8888 · 24/10/2019 14:59

Yay, congrats @Helensss it’s so exciting isn’t it! Can’t believe we now have to wait another 8 weeks to see our babies! Seems forever!

kstann · 24/10/2019 15:38

@Helensss lovely scan pic 😍

My hospital said 2-3 weeks for my screening stats to come back. She said if High risk I'll get a call this week. 2-3 seems bloody ages!
We've started telling people already too 😊

Raindancer411 · 24/10/2019 15:45

Anyone else being classed as high risk and being consultant lead?

facevalue · 24/10/2019 16:18

@Raindancer411 me!

sazzlerazzle · 24/10/2019 16:45

@Helensss congratulations! Gorgeous pic hope you’re feeling more at ease after that :)

Here’s my little wriggler... measuring at 13+4, a full week later than I thought!! Has anyone else had this? How accurate is it?

Anyway all looks well and I feel so happy and lucky. Had blood test for screening today and that takes 2-3 weeks apparently!! 😩

Raindancer411 · 24/10/2019 16:59

I had my bloods taken at the first midwife appointment for the screening and tests. This one is a lot different to my first where I had to go to the hospital to have them done
