@charlie 😂😂😂lol @ devil child ... maybe he/she will just be your treat!

@Helensss goodluck tomorrow.

@woolycat we will be scan buddies 1 nov i'll be 11+6 can't wait tbh x

@kstan can you ask to speak to the obstetrician? i don't think that's enough just because your sister had it and it's your 1st! are you sure there's no other reason ? age? race ? other health issues? anything else
Aspirin is a good idea ( i'm allergic so wouldn't be able to take that anyway). goodluck

@may that picture is so cute - not devil just a unicorn 🦄 cutie xxx

my midwife put my pregnancy as HIGH risk 🙄🙄🙄 i’m just thinking overreaction but better that they r over cautious than under 🥺

Helensss · 23/10/2019 11:38

@may2311 congrats that’s lovely!! Is this your first scan too? I’m bundle of nerves already for tomorrow ! I booked lots of clients in to make the day pass but I can’t hold my usual concentration so that was mistake 😂

Helensss · 23/10/2019 11:39

@facevalue thank you! They have put me as high risk too, I’m hoping to find out more info tomorrow x

facevalue · 23/10/2019 12:02

@helensss i feel for you.. these bloody labels help a little with your boss too then they will be more understanding if anything comes up appointments wise etc ... so it's a positive hopefully x keep us posted

i've got this mean woman at work that was abusive and harassing me for months so i raised my concerns with a manager and it all gone worst tbh ... she threatened me and i've been off work for 3 months feeling crap and anxious about it! they still haven't started the investigation 🙄🙄🙄 i think they tried hard to suppress it and shut me up... but she did it to another person last year who had to leave as a result and i just can't leave it unchecked ... my principles are getting me in trouble but if it was my child being bullied i would want to put a stop to it- i'm some1s child too 😂 my mum said : can i speak to her to tell her to leave u alone ...

sweet eh??

sao81 · 23/10/2019 12:09

Had to have a transvaginal today due to some bleeding again. Little one measuring 9 weeks exactly, so due 27th May. All curled up kicking away!

facevalue · 23/10/2019 12:50

@sao81 oh dear... that's scary .. glad u got a scan to reassure you. a few girls in the earlier threads were having similar ... so did they say what going on? or everytime u have spots or bleed they scan? how can u relax 🙀

Mummy0fboys · 23/10/2019 12:51

@facevalue currently i have 3 boys Halloween Shock obviously no idea what the new little one will be Smile

sazzlerazzle · 23/10/2019 13:02

@facevalue good on you for sticking with it, you shouldn’t let people like this get away with it and I’m amazed she has been allowed to do it a second time.

It’s also very poor that the investigation hasn’t started yet, did you put your grievance in formally three months ago? These things should be done in a timely manner and three months later is not timely!!

Helensss · 23/10/2019 13:23

@facevalue oh that sounds really stressful and not what you need right now, although at least you aren’t receiving more stress by being around it at work! Hope things get sorted out soon, she sounds awful!

@sao81 that’s a nice picture and reassuring x

facevalue · 23/10/2019 13:25

@sazzlerazer i think i did everything correctly and i have a union representative helping me. basically it dragged on because they wanted me to just accept going into mediation with her - no fault style! but she denied everything and did not apologise for anything so it's pointless when the person has no insight into their behaviour and they walk around saying everyone else is a problem but never them.

they only agreed to investigate 2 weeks ago and have changed the investigator 3 times already because they realise last minute they r conflicted!! surely they should ask someone external now ... anyway that's the public sector for you under this shitty government - ( i'm obviously not a tory supporter )

sao81 · 23/10/2019 13:25

@facevalue Its to do with my cervix I had it quite alot in my last pregnancy but because id had some abdo pain too they scanned me to double check but baby is healthy so reassuring! They've said in future if bleeding fills a pad within a hour to go straight back up but little bits of bleeding will be ok x

@helensss thank you! Baby looks so snug, keep saying he I think a boy

OP posts:
facevalue · 23/10/2019 13:26

@mummy0fboys you are a trooper for sure x i assume u might fancy a little girl 😍 i love girls after i had a girl and wouldn't mind a second but think my husband is ready for a boy now

sao81 · 23/10/2019 14:15

@facevalue sorrry to hear you've had such a crap time with work, nothing worse than poor management

OP posts:
Mummy0fboys · 23/10/2019 14:58

@facevalue although the idea of a little girl sounds wonderful, im not sure i would know where to begin Hmm i feel knowledgeable when it comes to boys Grin

May2311 · 23/10/2019 14:59

Thanks everyone 😊😊😊

@Helensss yes first scan- I contemplated having an early one but decided against it as I don't think it would have re-assured me as things could still go wrong etc.

The query about if your due date is later than what midwife has predicted - I think that you have to be a certain number of weeks for them to do the test but as we decided not to have the screening it didn't matter. @Sunshine8888 that happened with you didn't it? So you ended up needing to go back for another scan? Which is always a bonus to see baby! 🥰

Sunshine8888 · 23/10/2019 15:25

Yes so baby needs to be larger than 45mm to do the screening or they’ll ask you back. I was quite happy to have a bonus scan 😊 seems odd I won’t have one now for 8 weeks!

kstann · 23/10/2019 15:30

@facevalue hey, thanks for the reply. No she literally said you tick 2 of the boxes under the national guidelines. I've not started taking them yet, might try speak to someone. It's so hard as they guilt you - id feel awful if I got it 🤦🏼‍♀️ rock and a hard place.

Why have they put you at High risk, if you don't mind me asking. xx

kstann · 23/10/2019 15:34

@Sunshine8888 I feel the same- seems crazy we only have one more scan! Just have to now trust in everything our bodies are doing ☺️

facevalue · 23/10/2019 15:45

@kstann i don't mind u asking. i think as u said it's a tick box and it calculates risk. for me probably asthma, ivf, age, last c section, previous MC. i'm assuming! but i didn't mind the label if it gets me more monitoring x

Emmacb82 · 23/10/2019 15:53

@sao81 sorry to see you had some bleeding but I’m pleased you’ve had a scan and all is well.
Lovely to see everyone’s scans, I keep checking the post for my letter for my date but nothing yet. Can’t wait to see baby again x

Raindancer411 · 23/10/2019 16:34

The doc gave me some anti sickness meds but she said it may not help alleviate the sickness feeling :(

sao81 · 23/10/2019 16:46

@Emmacb82 thank you, i feel much more relaxed now!
@Raindancer411 aah what ones did they give you? The ones i take now stop the vomitting but can feel.food sitting on my stomach which isnt nice

helpasisterout · 23/10/2019 18:32

Anyone else in NHS Scotland know what happens with results of measurements at first scan combined with blood tests (already taken at 2nd appointment after booking but before scan) do you get them on the day or have to wait?

Helensss · 23/10/2019 19:01

I am literally sooooo nervous for my scan tomorrow,
I’ve just been sitting on my sofa staring at the wall 😂 need to fast forward time

Moonstone12 · 23/10/2019 19:19

@helpasisterout I'm not Scotland but they took my bloods a week before the scan. When I arrived they had the results then the sonographer put the measurements and blood results into the computer and the results came up straight away. HTH x
