Anyone else struggling with clothing? Day to day is ok but trying to find a dress for an outfit coming up and it's too early for maternity but sizing up just highlights my bloat and lack of waist atm due to to the last month of eating crap!!

Any tips on flattering styles of dress which will be worn at Aprox 16 weeks?

Moonstone12 · 31/10/2019 21:47

@helpasisterout take a look at boo hoo maternity. I got a lovely dress from there recently. It suits me now (although I'm showing kids as this is number 4!) and I have room to grow too. Xx

Moonstone12 · 31/10/2019 21:49

I have the one bottom left x

@helpasisterout yes I’m really struggling :( I’m petite anyway so buying clothes can be hard work but what’s the deal with maternity clothes? Why did they think you get taller and bigger all over when you’re pregnant?? Everything I’ve bought so far has been really big in the arms and shoulders!

ASOS used to have loads of maternity petite things but here are only one or two items now 😩

helpasisterout · 01/11/2019 09:35

@moonstone12 @sazzlerazzle thanks for your replies I will try boohoo!! It's like they think as soon as your pregnant you are happy to be confined to a life of strange clothes.. pyjamas are uniform at home but need to look half respectable out and about! X

facevalue · 01/11/2019 10:36

@woollycat goodluck with your scan xxx

woollycat · 01/11/2019 10:38

Thanks @facevalue, you too! And @Allyism! Mine's at 13:40, can't wait!

Raindancer411 · 01/11/2019 10:54

Another day of feeling sick as a dog 😭 Am 11+1, and hoping it improves soon...

mrsf1204 · 01/11/2019 12:04

Anyone still getting a bit of ovary / groin pain? I think its just everything stretching but seems to be lingering in that area?

Herewego2020 · 01/11/2019 12:25

Hello everyone I am so terrible keeping up to date with this and I've been so poorly with headaches.. they make me cry they're dreadful. Seeing some lovely scan pics.. I'm terrible at guessing genders lol I seem to always get wrong lol. Had my scan today and have a healthy wriggler. Anyone fancy guessing gender 💫

Oh I'm also 13 weeks. Thought I was 12. Anyone have advice for headaches as they're really getting me down 😭

Phii · 01/11/2019 13:51

Raindancer411 · 01/11/2019 15:04

How much are people having to pay for the scan photos? My first I had to pay £7 each but this hospital it's £5 each.

sao81 · 01/11/2019 15:10

Scan went well! 🥰 I knew I was behind at 10+5, sonographer actually said it's more like 11 which is nice! They booked me back in for Nov 11 so they can do the combined screening then - it was too early to do it today.

This is now becoming a bit more real, and the nausea / sickness is better than before!

Herewego2020 · 01/11/2019 15:13

@Raindancer411 we paid £12 for 3

november90 · 01/11/2019 15:33

@Herewego2020 what a beautiful clear scan!
I would say girl for skull theory but I am not sure about the nub. It's definitely pointing upwards but it parallel with the bottom half of the bottom so this could just be because babies bodie was tilting upwards!
I'm really starting to doubt these nub theories the more I read into them, but it's all just a bit of fun isn't it :)

november90 · 01/11/2019 15:34

@Raindancer411 we paid £5! Last time is was £2.50 per scan. I can't believe they charge so much for a little picture especially when you don't even get to pick it!

BreeQuinn · 01/11/2019 15:36

Hi All,
New on here. First pregnancy after 4 losses. Currently 12+2 and due mid May. Had my first scan yesterday and say a heartbeat for the first time ever. Feeling very grateful.

facevalue · 01/11/2019 16:06

hey ladies, scan went well, everything normal so far and screening low risk so we won't do anything further. anyone fancy guessing the sex? we obviously don't know yet! 😂😂😂 baby was wriggling so much the sonographer said: ' listen mate if u don't stop wriggling we will have to bring your mum back another time when u r calm to scan again for the measurements' 😳 that made me hold my breath .. i didn't want to wait for nuchal measurements i couldn't cope with waiting much longer😭...

we had an amazing pizza then ice cream for post scan celebrations.

@woollycat sorry you couldn't get it all over and done with! congrats on seeing a lovely baby.

@mrsf1204 i get left side pain still .. i think the sonography said my placenta might be lateral so things stretch and hurt! maybe

@Raindancer411 nhs scans should not charge you 😳 that's crazy if u had to pay for that! i asked for extra prints and they said no but i still got one free!

facevalue · 01/11/2019 16:09

Herewego2020 · 01/11/2019 16:11

@facevalue wow that picture is so clear how precious. We find out sex December but doing gender reveal which may have to happen after christmas.. the wait might do me in lol

facevalue · 01/11/2019 16:14

@herewego2020 i was just going to say congrats to you too and lovely baby pic. i keep seeing girls so i'm saying girl for u too 😂 i mentioned the skull/nub theories to the sonographer and he gave me a dirty look and said ' i have no idea what u r talking about' 😳 he shut me up for sure

May2311 · 01/11/2019 16:23

Congratulations everyone what lovely scan photos😊

I haven't been guessing with the skull & nub theory as I am absolutely rubbish and can't see anything 🙈😂

Hope those that are still feeling rough start feeling better soon. Xxx
