@woollycat mines in 2 hours! Im sooo nervous

Sunshine8888 · 31/10/2019 08:25

Loving all the scans and happy news!! Good luck to those having them today! I still haven’t got rid of this cold, it’s driving me crazy now! And I’m still waiting for the glory of the second trimester to kick in! So over the tiredness and nausea now!

facevalue · 31/10/2019 08:33

😍😘 congratulations lots of lovely pics of cute babies on scans. glad the ladies having screening results got reassured. my scan is tomorrow at 11:00 i hope it will also be reassuring.

anyone else gets woken up around 4am everyday with runny nose and headache ( can't be a constant cold) i feel rough then it disappears during the day 🙄 until i fall asleep again

i'm so grumpy! anyone else getting super high libido with all these hormones - it's mad 🤪🤪🤪

Allyism · 31/10/2019 08:39

@woollycat mines tomorrow morning. Just want the day to go quickly so I can stop worrying

Bumpingalong84 · 31/10/2019 09:03

Morning ladies, so lovely to see all the scan photos. It’s mad how most of the thread would have had their 12wk scans in the next two weeks. It’ll be quiet for a few weeks then all the 20wk ones will start!

Defo not heightened libido for me, my DH would love that 😂 I’m just too exhausted all the time. Can’t wait to have some energy back. He’s been very patient tho bless him.

lornz · 31/10/2019 09:22

Been quiet for a while - our scan is on Monday afternoon, I am beyond excited.

Sickness and tiredness are still here in full force I feel like rubbish. But, we are completing on our new house today so have loads to sort and school work (teacher on half term) and entering the 5yo. 😭

Is is bed time yet 😴

facevalue · 31/10/2019 09:32

@Bumpingalong84 lucky you and poor husband. i had to move to spare room cos i want it all the time and my hubby needs to sleep for work!

might have to invest in a toy of some sort 😂😂😂😂

helpasisterout · 31/10/2019 09:39

13 days until our scan! Feels like so long! Wondering if I should book the day off work🤔

But more distressing is the fact Christmas is 55 days away and I have bought about 3 gifts (usually wrapped and stored by now) because through the haze of sickness and exhaustion I just can't find any enthusiasm!

fluffyunicorns86 · 31/10/2019 09:58

@sao81 see this is first time I have been told at 12 week scan where the placenta is. All other times wasnt until 20 week scan so was confused.

fluffyunicorns86 · 31/10/2019 10:00

Loving all the scan pictures they are all so lovely. I am gonna try book a private scan at 16 weeks before I have my stitch put in as wanna know everything is ok. Do they do any scans before stitches does anyone know I dont know what to expect

mrsf1204 · 31/10/2019 11:18

Ok so last week I was going on about how my sickness seemed to have faded. However, let me tell you all about what just happened to me. I'm at work, and thought I feel a bit bleugh, not like I was going to hurl bleugh, just a tad queasy. I went to the bathroom thinking I needed a wee. Just a wee. Sat down, as soon as I started to pee I literally projectile vommed my toast everywhere, all over the only bathroom we have in the office...
I managed to stop peeing and turn my head to the toilet thank god, as I then spent 15 minutes hurling my guts up. Every time I thought I felt better it would come again.

I finally stood up, looked in the mirror and saw that my mascara had literally run all around my eyes, I looked like a panda. I thought it's ok I have face wipes in my bag.. nope. Took them out last night didn't I... so I had to use toilet / kitchen roll and water to try and get a very stubborn mascara off my face. I got most of it, but now I look like I have two black eyes or that I've been crying!! We are only a small team with a small office and literally everyone heard me being ill. Only two out of 6 know it's because I'm pregnant... so now the others who don't know are saying 'ooh I feel a bit rough today too, I hope I'm not getting what you've got' 'I'm starting to feel a bit sick...' 'maybe you should go home we don't want you spreading it...'

Mate, you're not catching this believe me 😂😂😂 I'm just laughing at the mess of myself and thought I'd share....

facevalue · 31/10/2019 11:28

@fluffyunicorns86 i'm sure they will scan before the stitch... they will have to check everything is ok x good luck

@mrsf1204 oh no you poor thing. that's awful. i hate vomiting anytime ... vomiting at work oh ... please just go home... i'm moaning about my nausea ... now i feel bad reading your story xxx did u try ginger?

woollycat · 31/10/2019 11:28

@mrsf1204 oh dear, poor you! Glad you are able to laugh about it :)
I also had a good 5 days, but then the last 2 days vomiting is back!

Hoping for good news for all of us with scans today and tomorrow! 🤞🏻😍

mrsf1204 · 31/10/2019 11:35

@facevalue haha done feel bad! I havent felt like the whole time, and I certainly don't feel like it keeps me in bed, so I am lucky compared to some! I tried ginger around week 7/8. and it was great for a week or so but now even the thought and smell of it makes me so ill!!! Bodies are weird aren't they...

Hayley220 · 31/10/2019 13:18

Hello! Sorry to jump in ladies I’ve been actively following this thread for a week but always been too nervous to post! Anyway last Thursday I found out I was 9 weeks pregnant after believing I had miscarried two weeks before. At the scan the sonographer explained there was a haemorrhage/sack of blood (terms she used) next to the baby and this is causing the large and light bleeds that I have been experiencing for weeks. I am slowly making myself even more panicked about this and I was just wondering if anybody else had suffered this? I have another scan on Monday but I just can’t shake all the worry and panic. Again sorry to jump in guys. Thank you xx

@Moomoo8787 i'm so sorry to hear your update. i can't remember who had this but there was definitely a lady that had a bleed/ bruise seen on a scan. maybe she will read your post. the truth is you just don't know. you might go for the next scan and the bleed is reabsorbed and everything is fine 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 keep us informed.

@jeffsar4 does your partner want to know? i have always thought the "surprise" is such a silly thing because u r also surprised when u r told at the scan etc but this is going to be my second child hopefully if all goes well - i think i don't want to know the sex! my hubby is so annoyed because he wants to know - he said can he be told and he promises not to tell me🙄😳 but i know that i will get it out of him😢 not sure what to do x

Does anyone have any tips for migraines? I’ve been in bed since middday really struggling but cant take my go to ibuprofen

Sunshine8888 · 31/10/2019 17:21

I always thought we’d keep it a surprise but then when we had the option to find out with the harmony test we both decided we wanted to know! It’s definitely a personal decision but I’m hoping it’ll help me bond with my baby. It’s not like I’m going to be buying all things pink anyway! The nursery is already white and grey and will stay that way. X
