@facevalue my partner just goes "get the scan pics of the boys out the cupboard now so I can compare" it's fun guessing lol. My boys told me it has to be a girl though so no pressure 😳lol

mrsf1204 · 01/11/2019 16:47

Aww @facevalue that's a lovely photo! Congratulations I'm so happy all is well. I'm so hoping for the same outcome on Wednesday. Oh that's interesting about the placenta! My pain comes and goes and ranges from right to left and across the front of my groin. Nothing to make me cry out in pain or anything. Just a little wince!

Sunshine8888 · 01/11/2019 17:35

More lovely scan photos, congrats and happy Friday everyone!

I’m 14 weeks tomorrow and feeling very crampy these last two days, also my boobs are still super sore! Is anyone else finding this? Thank goodness it’s the weekend! 🎉

Raindancer411 · 01/11/2019 17:59

Yes my boobs are hurting. Especially first thing when I get up.

Allyism · 01/11/2019 18:43

Had a fab scan, baby was jumping all over the place. I’ve been put forward a few days and due date is now 10th May. Guesses anyone?

Hi ladies, huge congratulations on all the scan pictures. Such clear pictures.

I have to pay £5 for my scan photos, with my DD I got about 5 for that. You buy a little token before your scan and sadly in May we got a token but never used it as it was a mmc. I kept that token in the back of my phone case! I’m hoping I’ll be able to use it on the 12th, not to be cheap but just to use it against something good, does that make sense? Cos it made me sad!!

My boobs are still sore and huge 🙈 my tummy is also growing and I can’t wear anything fitting. I’ve been off this week but dreading putting my nurse uniform on Monday I have a feeling some people might start guessing 😬

kstann · 01/11/2019 19:00

I paid £10 for 3, didn't get any free.

@Bumpingalong84 I think that's a lovely thing to have done. It's like it's in honour of your angel baby ❤️
Every time you look at your scan you can think of both your babies ❤️

kstann · 01/11/2019 19:02

I went to a mindfulness and wellbeing evening today and bought this.... only £12 and they will are selling it in Morrisons! It's lovely! I tried it with a fever tree tonic and I actually felt like was having a little G&T!
🤩
Perfect for Christmas coming up!

Hi ladies! I've literally just joined!

I can't believe how excited I am to be able to respond and say our bean had an amazing scan and ETA is 9th May.
First time mum and couldn't be happier to be here!

Bumpingalong84 · 01/11/2019 19:49

Welcome to the group @enchantedspleen. It’s a lovely group Smile

Yeah that’s what I thought @kstann we do have a scan picture of our baby we lost as we did see a HB at 8wks and they gave us a photo.

That looks yummy, I got my self some none alcoholic wine from Waitrose last week as I was pretending to drink and it was awful 🤣 so been drinking Tonic water and fresh lime when I need to pretend. Hopefully not for long now tho.

fluffyunicorns86 · 01/11/2019 19:56

Great to hear all these scans are going great and some lovely pictures.

I have always paid £5 per picture for all my kids.

My boobs are really starting to hurt now weren't so bad until just lately.

facevalue · 01/11/2019 21:05

happy friday ladies. i'm shocked to hear u r having to pay for nhs scan pic.

appalling x

mrsf1204 · 01/11/2019 22:10

I'm on a work night out and only a few of them know I'm pregnant! they are all ordering cocktails and I'm like mocktail pleassseeee I'm driving haha.

Sunshine8888 · 01/11/2019 22:13

I’ve been continuing to take my pregnancy vitamins - do we carry on throughout or can I stop now? I read somewhere that you only need folic acid until 12 weeks but vitamin D throughout?

Sunshine8888 · 01/11/2019 22:14

I had to pay £15 for nhs scan pics - no free ones

facevalue · 01/11/2019 22:36

@sunshine8888 OMG that's shocking! if u think about it they give us free dental and prescriptions in pregnancy but not your baby pic?!!!! what part of the UK is that? if u don't mind me asking .. i never paid.. i never heard any of my friends say they paid either ... i'm told pregnancy multivitamins to continue throughout pregnancy and breastfeeding ( if u chose to). so i'm taking them all the way - it's ok if u forget every now and then.

@mrsf1204 it must be my age! i can't cope with any nights out later than 8pm ... well done you x enjoy it if u can

mrsf1204 · 02/11/2019 00:18

@facevalue I've been in bed by 8:30 every night since week 7, but tonight was a colleagues leaving due and i really wanted to try and go so I pushed through. Nearly had a nap at 9pm but I think all the sugar and fruit juice in my mock tails helped keep me going! I was also driving my boss home so he wanted to get back. I've literally just got back in at 12am! I'm so proud of myself for staying awake!! Except now I'm past tired... and wide awake... tomorrow is going to be exhausting 😴

Clairesoph · 02/11/2019 01:16

In the wide awake club over here at 1am 😩 fell asleep at 7.30 (the norm now) so OH went to the pub with our friend (his gf gave birth a week ago and he needed to offload I think hahaha!) anyway he rocks up at midnight, made the dog bark and here I am an hour later. Feeling like the hungry caterpillar as ive just eaten my way through a bowl of cheerios, a pack of quavers dipped in hummus and a jaffa cake bar 😂 washed it down with two glasses of oj and my pregnacare tabs for balance haha!

mintbear · 02/11/2019 06:20

Morning all
Wow I've missed a lot! Feeling for those of you who are struggling with sleep. I'm in bed by 8.30 and straight to sleep but then i usually wake up at 5.

I got 4 prints of my scan pics for free, however I think there was a sign saying something about paying for extra pics at the 20 week scan.

Lovely to see all the pics and congrats to all. @Allyism @facevalue @Herewego2020 all I am seeing are beautiful girls! 💗

@Sunshine8888 I have started to feel short sharp pains but the bump is growing a lot now so I think it's everything moving (literally stretching ligaments and muscles).

This week I've had two days so far where I've not been or felt sick... I don't want to jinx it but.. it's looking positive. I managed to go swimming yesterday for the first time in what seems like forever and I ate something that wasn't beige!

Question to all - to nct or not to nct? I've heard conflicting things.. I was just about to book then I found this Hypnobirthing course, it's a little more £ but I think I'll connect to the content more, plus the classes are spread out over a month and they are at the hospital where I will be having the baby.

I've also signed up to start pregnancy yoga at the start of next month, has anyone else been to any pregnancy classes?

november90 · 02/11/2019 06:29

@allyism I am saying girl :)

I'm with everyone on the sleep thing! I can barely stay awake past 8.... and it is getting me down a bit. With having a toddler, I barely get a minute to relax during the day so I look forward to my hour or two of normal tv/relaxing in the evening but now I just can't stay awake for it! My lb woke up up at 5:30 so my husband went in as I'm working today but here I am wide awake! Husband also woke up up at midnight and it took my about 45 mins to fall asleep. Now I'm just sat here thinking about the new chocolate covered Oreos I bought from Asda yesterday and if it's ridiculous o go and get a few at this time 🙈

november90 · 02/11/2019 06:32

Well I've just eaten 2 of the ores things so obviously not 🙈

May2311 · 02/11/2019 07:05

@Sunshine8888 my midwife told me to continue with vitamins throughout whole pregnancy.

It's reassuring to know that others are suffering from waking up in the middle of the night and not sleeping well! I am struggling really badly with my coccyx/back and I can't believe It's bothering me so soon. It makes me worry what I'll be like as I get bigger!

I'm at a friends birthday party tonight- is it really bad that I'm already planning what time is acceptable for me to leave 🙈🙈🙈

Allyism · 02/11/2019 07:10

I can’t stop waking up at 5 but there’s also multiple trip to the bathroom throughout the night too...I’m almost passed out by 9pm most nights

kstann · 02/11/2019 07:10

Hey ladies I'm with you on the lack of sleep. I think I've had one full night since finding out at 3 weeks, I'm now 13+4!
If it's not for weeing it's tossing and turning , not being able to get back to sleep or waking up super early!

I live in Solihull but decided on Warwick hosp for baby, I don't mind paying for scan pics if it means some money going back into the NHS. I guess "technically" they are only checking for abnormalities not for us to see baby really 🤷🏼‍♀️.

@mintbear I go to yoga anyway so have just carried on with my usual class. I might find a pregnancy yoga also, for when I'm bigger!

I think We are going to go to NCT. I think it'll be good for my OH to feel more involved and meet some people on the same journey as well as hopefully learning some bits xxx

mintbear · 02/11/2019 07:24

Jinxed it.
Morning vom session complete 😔
