Morning all, how are things?

Sound like lots of people have got great weekends planned, whether staying in and chilling, or going out and having fun!

We're having a housewarming party tonight which is quite exciting, although I really need to start tidying and cleaning! I just hope enough people turn up to make it a good laugh! At the moment its only mutual friends and DH's work friends - all my work colleagues are absolutely crap, and all my old friends (from Uni and school etc) live too far away. Even still, it should be lots of fun!

Hey girls - is everyone having as rainy and autumnal a Sunday as I am here? Feels kind of cosy with desert island discs on in the background and casserole in the oven but where was our summer. Hope housewarming/wedding/Vfestival/dinners etc all went well and we are all happy pregnant ladies. Mixedmamma and Mrs McJnr I feel so much sympathy over the weight issue - I have always felt huge even tho' looking back at photos of my youth I would kill to be that slim again. I come from a hefty family that believes in food as celebration, diversion and comfort and has no interest at all in exercise beyond a little dog-walking. I really thought I would spend my life feeling inadequate over my size and fluctuating massively between slim (for me) and vast. My husband has gone a long way to changing that - he genuinely seems not to notice what size I am and so I am determined not to infect him with my own judgementalism. But I suspect I have a lot more cause for concern that you with a BMI of 34, and I am sure you are beautiful and cherished ladies who carry other's misconceptions over what makes you a good person far too close to heart.
Anyway, we are not finding out flavour in our scan the week after next. DH feels very strongly we shouldn't and since he so rarely feels so strongly about something I feel loath to intervene but I have to say if the man doing the scan knows - why shouldn't I - I'm growing it?! Maybe we'll be flashed !
We went to Whitstable for a day out and had lovely potter along the shore and thru all the 2ndhand bookshops etc. Was disappointed not to indulge in all the cockles and oysters available but compensated with ice cream!
love to all

I need to get some jeans. got 1 pair at the moment that i brought from someone on here.
Also need to get som black maternity trousers for work.
got some from peacocks but they were uncomfy and thin.
I have put my 20 wk scan on my profile now if anyone wants a peek.
DH plugged in the scanner today and stored all 5 on our puter. I don't know how to work the thing or i'd of put the 1 on there.
How is everyone today?
Lil'un is kicking away in there today.
Well feels to me like 'pops' so i guess it's the baby.

Hello, just wanted to let you all know that we went for our scan yesterday and its a boy!

Had a feeling it would be as feel so different then when I was pregnant with dd. She is in denial and adamant that it is a baby sister, just keeps saying 'no mummy, not a baby brother, its a baby lady!'

Hope you are all having lovely weekends, it is tipping it down here, feels like the middle of november! x

toomanyshoes · 19/08/2007 21:15

just remembered, due date has changed too. Sonographer said I am actually due on the 28th December which is the date I thought I was due anyway. NHS scan just dated from LMP despite me knowing when I conceived and it not fitting LMP dates if you see what I mean! Will cut and paste date list from other thread when I get a mo..

Hi ladies can someone advise me? Ive been extremely foolish - I went away on holiday and got really drunk! It started with a glass of fizzy wine at a bbq (i was with my girlie friends) and the next thing i knew I was knocking them back like it was going out of fashion!

Have I done any damage do you think??

MotherofZ · 20/08/2007 08:23

Hello,
Hope you all are ok and had a good weekend. Wedding was good, but fussy me wasn't convinced with the food which seemed like it wasn't heated up properly and was left open, so got DH to take me McDonalds for a yummy meal!

Talking about maternity jeans - bought a fab pair from New Look for just £12! And it had the adjustable waitband, so you can make your jeans larger as you grow.

Horsygirl - try posting your query on the pregnancy thread aswell; I don't drink anyway so not up to speed with the alcohol and pregnacy information.

Morning all!

Housewarming was a success, which was lovely - lots of people turned up, and we all had a great time Great thing as well is that we've got loads of food left that is...well, naughty party food, so we're gonna be guzzling crisps and dips and indian snacks and most importantly ice cream for weeks! Yay!

Unfortunately I've now come down with a stinking cold that DH has been harbouring for two weeks - my throat feels like I've been practising sword swallowing with a giant cactus Went to the pharmacy to see what I was able to take and it turns out the only thing I can take is paracetamol I usually glug down gallons of beechams all in one syrup, but I can't now so I'm going to be a misery to live with for the next week or so!

Congratulations on the boy Toomanyshoes! It made it feel a lot more real when I found out what I was having!
