Sorry triplets and twins! I forgot you were catching up with gingeme in numbers. Are girls really harder than boys? My dd is just yummy so more than happy to have another but so many people have told me that girls are more difficult.

Neuro - is it really tasteless?

£200 to talk about nutrition!! Fabulous.

There is some criticism tho. Basically, you go for the appointment and then get the money, but of course their is no control on what you spend the money on so vouchers have been suggested to target it a little more towards nutrition.

Does anybody here smoke in pregnancy? I went for my MW appointment last week and there were too heavily preg women standing outside the maternity unit puffing away. I dont want to judge them, but just feel that if it was me I would at least hide behind the bushes or something.

Angechia - am like you but keep worrryin about how to cope with 2. Decided to just take each day at a time and try not to stress too much.

BM - no - don't know the flavour, meant that it will be weird saying that I have 2 children! You are right though - the roll call is lost!! I'll try and dig it out so we can remind ourselves about each other.

Neuro - interesting about the Arame seaweed. How do you know this? Where can you buy it from?

MotherofZ- do you really want yours to be born on 25th? I don't mind when mine are born, so long as it's not on christmas or before it! I want 1 last christmas just with my trio, but they are probably going to be born sometime before christmas, because they are twins.

Then again, if I don't have them by Christmas, I'll probably be so fed up that I won't enjoy it!

Bettymamma - girls are definitely harder than boys....or mine are at least ... and i've heard many other people say the same, boys can have their moments though!! never doubt that!

I'd happily give nutrition advice for free!

You can buy Arame from health food stores. I have to order mine in but only takes a few days.

OK, it's not totally tasteless as it is from the sea, but you can hardly taste it. I happily eat it on it's own if a stray bit falls off my plate. I really like the texture, is almost a bit nutty, errm maybe a bit nutty but sea flavoured? Anyway, it's brill!

I'v reccommended it to a pal who\s hair isn't very thick...

I finally bought some maternity bras yesterday, shame on me. I'm not huge, but when they measured me OHMYGOD i am a 38 D. That's huge for me. And they are soooo comfortable. WOW. The lady in M and S told me off though he he.

I had a few cigs when pregnant, but didn't actually know i was pregnant at the time. I see alot of heavily pregnant YOUNG women around. And always in busy areas, i'm surprised too they dont' hide away

HI girls
I am 23 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child. I have 1 DD who is almost 3 and a half and am due on 7th January 2008. Was wondering if I could join this thread.

Thanks

Hiya Scotgirl in Oz - welcome! I guess you live in Oz and are from Scotland?

Mixedmama - I would have to hide if smoking but no I don't smoke. I was a sort of social smoker though. I guess social smoking is out of the window now (pardon the pun) with the smoking ban.

Motherofz - well done on finding that list.

tripletsandtwins - but girls are more likely to stay nearer their parents (total generalisation here). Look, I'm worried about them leaving home and one of them isn't even born yet!

Bettymamma - Yoga was fab thanks! Really relaxing and I had my best night sleep after and only went to the loo once!! Every thursday now, There was one woman at 21 wks, one at 23 wks me at 24 and one at 31.Really good, and thoroughly recommend it!

Beller - i think a nice single woman with a cute baby and a life mostly under control will attract some decent men. We can be a try before you buy style of family (!), as in they'll be able to see us in all our sides of femaleness and get a good idea of us domestically. AND it'll sort the wheat from the chaff. I think for me (well, i'm hoping) it's going to make dating easier.

Being pregnant has made me much more focussed, and i can't wait to get back to my hobbies, which are likely to help me meet men (diving and surfing) - my mum has already offered to babysit for me to do these things. I can't wait to get back in the sea! And then teach the baby when it's older.

Or, i'll advertise for a nice wealthy widower with a young child! ha ha. That sounds awful doens't it?!!

Or maybe i'll get a toyboy to run around after me.

Hmmm decisions decisions. I feel a bit bonkers today. Am listening to old East 17 tracks and ignoring everyone in my office

Report
Neuro · 10/09/2007 15:53

Beller there might be some nice divorcees around - we'll be able to consider them soon as they'll prob have children so they won't expect us to stay up late at the weekends. God i'm boring.

We should start a website for Independ Mothers. I am not going to refer to myself as a single mum as it suggests i am desperate or abandoned or to blame for society's ills etc etc.

i've got verbal/typing diarrhoea today sorry

Oh dear, one of the few females who sits in my part of the office has just come back from 2 weeks leave and has already asked when I'm due...guess that means I'm going to be 'outed' very soon . Was hoping to get away with it for another week or two...
