I had awful dream last tnight that i was bleeding it woke me up though and i went to the toilet and all's well

dreams are really wierd atm. Think is all the hormones. Night before scan i dreamt had a baby girl who could say mamma after 1 day. My dp's ex (from way back) was trying to take her and say she is hers as she went out with dp first and another lady (friend) said it was her egg that made her! All very strange

lily - meant to say glad that all wasx well. Think (i read somewhere) all these weird dreams is us playing out situations in our head and how we would deal with them. Not nice at all.

Beller - like the ref to ex as sperm donor from your friend. Just glad you have supportive friends around you.

Since I am temping I dont really need to make a decision about mat leave. Was thinking that when everything closes down for Xmas will just not go back to work. My maternity allowance wont start till due date anyway.

not fussed what i am going to have, but think it might be a boy as this pregnancy is way different to my last.

We would quite like a DD as then we will have one of each but I keep having dreams of a little boy called Ediz, so who knows. We have agreed that we will stop at two if we have a little girl which would be quite nice as I have found pregnancy quite hard thiss time round. But 3 is my limit and if we have three boys then so be it.

well the heart rate of the baby suggests a girl, the fact that i had no sickness a boy, chinese prediction charts boy, but have gone from liking crips to chocolate..so girl?
So I have concluded I am having a boy or girl........

At the moment I'm convinced I won't want more than one. I've felt that way for a number of years now. DH would like one of each, but I think we'll see how we go.

We were both essentially only children (I have half siblings but they're all more than 10 years older or younger than me) so we don't really "get" the whole sibling thing.

Hello All

It has been so long since I posted. I found the new thread but I must admit I just haven't found time to read up on what I missed on the last one. It gets too long!

Glad to hear of everyone's scans coming in with good news. I had mine on Monday - all the measurements are good "no obvious anomolies" (they are a funny bunch with the language they use) so we are happy and relieved. We are leaving it as a suprise so we didn't find out the sex. DH thinks its a girl. I think its a boy. We will keep playing this game for another 20 weeks I suppose!

Funny what you say about the dreams. I have had reoccuring dreams that I have a) been out smoking ciggies or b) (worryingly) been out and taken heaps of drugs forgetting that I am pg and then remembering just as they are coming on and there is nothing I can do. They are both terrifying dreams and I always wake up and feel really worried about what I have done and then realise that it hasn't actually happened at all. Has anyone had anything like that? Just goes to show what a naughty girl I was pre-pg!

Hope everyone is travelling well. My tum is sticking out so much more now and I FINALLY got offered a seat on the tube on Monday (have stood every other day though).

Hey I'm new on here. How are you all? I'm 20 weeks next week and going for the scan. So I hope it's okay if I join you?? I've been having wierd dreams too, so feeling a bit reassured by all yours. I dreamt the baby just 'fell out'!! Suppose that might be just wishful thinking. Anyway how do you all feel about finding out the sex of your little bump?

DH and I are adamant that we want to know, which will inevitably mean that the little bugger will have legs crossed, ummbilical cord between legs etc (our DS had umbilical cord between legs so we were unable to find out).

Nightmare - that'll probably be our luck too!! Fed up of buying yellow things. When I've spoken to loads of people who've said that they were told the wrong sex or they know someone who it's happened to. Just have to wait another 20 weeks!

Windbag my DP had the 'fall out' dream, apartently I was in labour for a whole 30 seconds and the baby just fell out. Here is hoping that dream comes true!! hehe somehow i dont think it will!

My next sis down is just like my Mum physically and even skinner now she has had 2 kids but my youngest sister is big, she has my father and my metabolism but with the added complication of PCOS my Mum is always being horrible about her weight and dark body hair behind her back my Aunts say my mother used all her pregnancies as a time to diet ? Thanks, hopefully things will now fall into place, we have been far to extravagant up until now really. But, you live and learn.

Awful about your mum. My family go on about my weight alot and sometimes I just want tostay this way to pee them off. I have always been slim (very curvy sso never actually skinny) and after I got married just got bigger and bigger and people just never stoppped going on about it, so completely understannd. For me it not about how much I weigh anyway more about feeling good about myself - I remember a time when i could walk into anywhere and people woulld look at me (i know how that sounds and really dont mean it to be that way) so i know things have changed alot and aalot of the time i feel that i have let myself down and you just dont need other people putting their pennies worth in. Sorry for the ramble, but you seem to deal with it very well.
