Happy Hols mixedmama, you've prob gone now tho...but if you're not, I am even more envious now of your exciting ancestry...

Beller, yup, am 23 weeks. And i have lovely large baps now but no one to show them to either. Just saw a male friend and was commiserating this fact, he said i could show them to him anytime. Not quite the same thing tho is it?

I realised last night, not sure why it took so long durrr, but pregnancy is actually more like 10 months isn't it?

4 more months to go. That's aaaaages.

Fluffy i can't wait 20 years to go travelling again! I'll die of itchyfeet syndrome. Going to wait til baby is 3 and then go somewhere like India for the summer holidays.

I think anyway i'm more likely to meet someone right for me when i'm on my travels. I'll be gagging for it by then ha haha. Sorry how vulgar of me

beller · 31/08/2007 15:54

Not vulgar Neuro...reality! hahaha me too...

Yeah i have some guys in the office that have commented on my boobs..like you say..not what we are looking for!

Have a fab holiday mixedmamma! x

gingeme · 31/08/2007 16:56

Happy hols mixedmama.
Phew just having a break from painting my bathroom. DH doing the cutting in and low down skirting boards while Im whooshing around with the roller great fun. Its only a small bathroom too so will do second coat later when lo's are in bed then new shower pole and curtain up tommorrow. Lovely.
I bought two new bras today from Mothercare as my others were cutting under my boobs like cheese wire. Tried them on and caught sight of myself in the mirror I look huge and I thought I wasnt doing too badly this time. my bras were a 40DD too which Ive never been in my life even when bf.....
I love that reaction fluffymummy when I say this is baby number5. I asked a lady in a cafe today where we were having lunch, where she got her double buggy from? She told me and said 'oh number 3 on the way, you'll have your hands full'. So I said 'No number 5'. and she nearly fell off her chair
Well lo's awake now better get him in his walker bfore he goes and helps Daddy with the painting.

MrsMcJnr · 31/08/2007 17:46

Hey ladies ? had to work hard today so sorry for the radio silence, have been at home though so that?s fab

How talkative have you all been then?

Cazzybaby ? my friend was telling me last night about a pushchair club here, I am up for that too she is also introducing me to AN aqua aerobics next week, better get some sort of swimming costume!

Naetha ? love your story PMSL at the last minute career change option ? reminded me to do my pelvic floor exercises, thank you! it is a lovely romantic story though and it made me tingle. I met my DH at work 6 years ago. We were both in serious (so we thought) relationships and he was my ?work place fantasy? because I thought he was cute ? harmless fun! Then I got talking to him one day and honeslty ? something went off in my head ? I thought that if I were with him, I?d be happy for the rest of my life ? as time went on I realized that the man I was with wasn?t right for me and we broke up, DH also broke up with his girlfriend for the same reason and we got together ? within 2 months we?d moved in together and bought a place together and now here we are married, parents to 3 furry babies and expecting a real baby I am the happiest girl alive, my DH is amazing

Gingeme ? sorry the buggy shopping wasn?t a great success! Interesting idea for the crib! Your story about that lady made me laugh!

Lilyloo ? good idea about laptops to the meet up where are you? Is it Yorkshire?

Hello Jenswish nice to see you but sorry to hear about your house everyone is well most people have had or are having their 20 weeks scans about now and some people have found out the flavour but there are a lot of surprises too. There is going to be a meet up on 19/9 in London if you are nearby

Toomanyshoes ? thanks for the tip on the book

BWmum ? that?s great news yeah, another healthy bean!! Let me known how you get on at that appointment, I?m planning to book one too, just for the info not for a list or to spend any money there!

Awen thanks hon. Beanie one is a bit small, I?ll upload some more. Don?t be too lonely hon x of course you are a regular ? it was all strictly bases on stats you know! glad the cardboard roll trick worked, I?ll go and rummage in the paper wheelie bin for one now!

Mixedmama ? that is an early shift! bet you are looking forward to a week off ? and your scan! me too though I am scared too. Your plan for next August sounds nice loved Wild Swans ? sigh! you sound very exotic looking

MotherofZ ? enjoy your birthday

BeckyAu ? it wasn?t meant to be a ticking off for anyone, just an observation, besides, I included you in the regulars!

Hey Beller film was great thanks so was the haagen daaz ? mmmm! my Mum used to cast on too ? took me 40 mins to do it myself! do you miss the old life sometimes with all the booze and partying? I do sometimes! Can?t believe what a selfish got your X is. Does he owe you much? Cos I am a meanie, I would raise a small claims action against him for it (if you can prove it) it?ll annoy him no end and you might get your money! Also, it?ll set a good precedent if he doesn?t cough up when you have the baby ? straight to the CSA!

Hello Neuro funny about the oranges! Glad you are well have to say, I am too, apart from the odd back niggle, I felt great ? and I look really brown, don?t know why but its fab!

Hello Fluffymummy another vote for that book! All the best for Monday ? I guess you?ll just need to see how you feel on the day. I watched a programme recently and the Dad knew what sex the twins they were having were but the Mum didn?t imagine keeping that a secret! I wouldn?t be able to! Hope you feel better soon.

andyrobo237 · 31/08/2007 20:06

Hi - excuse me for the intrusion - I am from the Feb Post Natal thread - I have a few autumn / winter baby coats that are too small for DS - I have listed them on the For Sale board but the keep getting lost in the load of stuff - so I have linked here.... here

thanks!

toomanyshoes · 31/08/2007 20:41

Just thought I'd mention (for anybody who is doing a john Lewis nursery appointment or about to start buying baby stuff) that those bottle warmer things are a total waste of money! Bought one last time as I mixed breast feeding and formula but took ages to warm the milk (even 7 mins feels like ages when a baby is screamng for food!!)
I just used to make up the sterilised bottles with boiled water then leave them to cool with lids and teats on. Then used to make up a couple of formula dispensers with the correct amount of powder for each feed. During the night just took a bottle of room temp water and formula dispenser to bed then when dd woke just tipped in and shook. Saved lots of tears and time and so much easier when you are out and about as you don't have to find somewhere to heat milk. Its still completely sterile as you only need to refrigerate bottles once they are made up into formula.
Anyway, sorry for long and random post but just remembered it and thought how I wished someone had told me before I had dd!

Juicylucytoo · 31/08/2007 21:51

Sorry - Quick Hijack -

Mrs MJ - how the devil are you. Hope your pg is going swimmingly and you're fattening up like the proverbial christmas turkey (in the nicest way possible

Not getting much sleep myself, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I LOVE being a mum.

Who needs sleep anyway

gingeme · 01/09/2007 09:07

Good morning ladies. Dh felt bean kicking this morning .
Have a good weekend all xxx

fluffymummy · 01/09/2007 12:25

Gosh it gets quiet in here on the weekend ...!!!

fluffymummy · 01/09/2007 12:27

Sorry - Gingeme, I hit 'post' before I realised I'd deleted the bit which said 'wow...that's so exciting!'!! It's great when partners get to feel the movements too Last time DH kept insisting he couldn't feel anything, even when ds was really going for it, until about 27 weeks. This time, he's been checking out movement since about 16 weeks, even tho its been tiny, cos he's got an idea of what he's looking out for

MamaMaiasaura · 01/09/2007 12:31

How lovely gingeme I have laid in bed till nearly 12 going to get housework and school stuff together as no one else home. Then off to mates this evening.

Lilyloo hope my posts do help you stay in touch

Anyone getting sore spots on their necks/in their hair line at the back/behind ears? I don?t usually get spots so I have been picking them but they are really sore!

mum2sons · 02/09/2007 20:46

Hi ladies!

Just popping in to say hallo. I have been bad at keeping up, sorry! I am going to be 21 weeks this week and am already the size of a house. Feeling little kicks and am convinced I am having another boy. Don't want to find out although it is tempting!
Still feeling sick which is really annoying, not as bad but still there. I spent last night cleaning up sick as well! My nearly 3 year old has a lurgy and came in our room and puked all over me..nice.

I hope you are all ok.
xxx

PeckaRolloverAgain · 02/09/2007 23:15

Hey girls, ive been a busy bee making a blog today dedicated to pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding etc

Thread Here

blog here

Do any of you have any piccies I could use?

beller · 03/09/2007 07:57

Morning all!,

Gingeme- Well done with the decorating! Exciting that DH can fel the kicks..mine are strong now...no-one to feel them though , but im enjoying them!

Mrsmcjnr - I dont miss the hangovers!! Im still going out, but just not drinking, cant stand up for too long though, get back ache int he base of my spine! XP donst owe me alot of money , I paid for our holiday to Oman, and he was supposed to pay for the holiday later in the year...thats fin as i offered, but he hasnt even paid for his half of the spending money! Then we got back, babybel came along, and he did a runner! nice guy..really do have to take a long hard look at my taste in men!

Toomanyshoes- Thanks for the tips!!

Mum2sons- Hope the sickness stops soon x

Well I didnt do much this weekend, as I had no car! Spoke to XP friday, as I heard that he was just back from LA, which annoyed me as he hasnt paid memoney from April! He was friendly ish on the phone...asked how i was...i asked how he was...He said he would come over at some point in the w/e, but not sure when as he still had jetlag, and was at work (london cabbie). I told him about the scan, he asked if everything was ok...i said yes...i said i hadnt found out the sex..he aske dif I had any inkling..i said not sure. I asked him if he had told anybody..he said no! .... Not his mum..daughter..sister..etc. Said he didnt know how he was going to tell them..I said about as easy as it was to tell my dad! Said he couldnt get his head round it..... Well I said this is happening, and no amount of burying your head in the sand will make it go away! He said he had no doubt that I would be a great mum, and that the baby would have so much love....So I guess that answers where he stands! He didnt come round, sent a text yesturday saying was tired and at work, could he make it tonight...So we will see! I dont think he will offer any money for the baby..or any supposrt, but i suppose at least i now where i stand!
(sorry this has got a bit long!)
Hope everyone is well xxxxxxxx
