Talking of scans DH has ssaid he doesnt know if he can make the scan next friday - he has had quite a bit of time off and doesnnt get paid if he doesnt work, bit about it really as i really want him to come.

Gingeme - I guess evening would be better as I think Barristermum said she would def come if it was evening. I know you have been to meet ups before, does it sort of kill your anonimity - and how do we recognise each other.

Angechica ? glad to hear I wasn?t the only one baby browsing at lunchtime I?m going to book a Nursery Consultation at JL to get some tips (and leave all forms of finance at home) good luck with the knitting ? shall we have a 10 row a night rule, if not, I?ll never get the cardi made By the way, just spent £8 in Boots and got lovely bubble bath and lotion, pad of breast pads (want some in my bag in case of embarrassing leaks!) and 2 disposable cameras ? saved £22.92 with my Parenting Club vouchers

I would be able to make meetup if it was in the evening as have my scan in morning on 19th!

Not sure if I am going to take anyone else. I am really close to my mum, but feel a little funny about taking her not sure why. I just sort of feel it is for me and DH - very strange as we are so close.

I am hoping he can just take it off. I mean if he tells them he will be able to, but it is just that he took a day off this week to take DS to the oppticians. It isdifficult for him to do half days and things. He missed the first one so really just hoping he will be able to make it.

Oh god - car seats. I may have allowed my dd to sleep in her car seat for VERY long periods of time. I'm not very good at waking a sleeping baby you see. It's not pretty.

Gingeme - which pizza express? when where??? The Baby Whisperer by Tracy Hogg was my life saver and I'd thoroughly recommend her book to anyone expecting.

motherofZ - I'm always reading the August thread. They are getting quite miserable the ones who are left on it though. I'm not surprised! My dh has felt the bump kicked a few times now and my dd uses my tummy as a trampoline. I do try to persuade her not to.

Can I join you? I'm a first timer due on 10 Jan (21wks). I've had the 20 wk scan and we're having a surprise!
I'm feeling pretty good at the moment but I haven't felt any obvious baby movements yet much to my frustration when everyone keeps asking me if I have! I'm sure it'll happen when little one's good and ready. It was moving lots when we had the scan done - i just haven't felt it yet!

I thought I was getting better now I was nearly 23 weeks gone, but I'm as scared of children now as I was before I got pregnant

I had a look at MrsMac's photos and went awwww at the cats, I then looked at Gingeme's photos (and please don't take this personally!!!) I felt panic and terror in the pit of my stomach when I saw photos of the kids!

I just don't know how I'm going to cope when it comes to the time - I'm happy with the thought of my LO, but other peoples' absolutely petrify me. If someone came up to me now and handed me a 6 month old baby I'd probably have a panic attack!

Met him at school. very drawn out on off type thing. Up until recently we still used to speak relatively regularly. But, our conversations only ever revolved around us and what might have been and why certain things happened so we dont really talk now. I still have an incredible soft spot for him tho. never even liked him in the beginning - strange isnt it.
