Cazzybaby · 29/08/2007 14:06

Hi Everyone!!

Havent posted for a few days as have been at my new house painting. Hope all is well, great news on all the scans.

Am off to Portugal friday morning cannot wait.....

beller · 29/08/2007 14:12

quick question on car seats...my new car has isofix fittings already in? Just looking at prams and car seats..and the car seat im looking at has a "surefix" base....is this different to isofix?

MrsMcJnr · 29/08/2007 14:28

Lilyloo - How come DH gets casting vote?

Bettymama ? PMSL and my DH keeps singing ?her name was Lola, she was a showgirl? keep telling DH that she?ll be too young to be teased about Barry Manilow songs and hey, I was named after one and I?ve survived!

Beller ? yeah! another healthy bean!! scan sounded amazing, you must be on cloud 9! that?s a very technical car seat question ? I?m impressed but don?t have a clue I?m afraid!

MotherofZ ? I?ve forgotten have you had your 20 week scan now and do you know the flavour?

Have a great time in Portugal Cazzy

MotherofZ · 29/08/2007 14:36

Had my scan on the 13th Aug. I wanted to find out the flavour and but DH didn't, and in the end it was I who gave in so we are none the wiser! Was annoyed with him for about 3 days , then thought to myself 'hey - it will be a great surprise!'

Feeling quesy this afternoon, had a tuna baguette from Greggs (which has no left my stomach)

MotherofZ · 29/08/2007 14:37

no = now

LilyLoo · 29/08/2007 14:39

Sorry Beller can't help!
Have lovely hol Cazzy.
Mrs Mc i chose dd's so it'f only fair.
Felt a bit off myself today too motherofz haven't felt sick for ages too
My bump feels really heavy today too, so think might have to leave this ironing mountain for now and have a sit down!

MrsMcJnr · 29/08/2007 14:43

Know what you mean about a heavy bump, I almost feel it swings when I walk may have to give up the thongs and by some proper supportive knickers! anyone else wearing big pants?

LilyLoo · 29/08/2007 14:49

Haven't gone there yet Mrsmc , i am trying to keep a semblance of femininity for as long as i can

Bettymamma · 29/08/2007 14:50

Lilyloo - i like the idea that you are letting dh chose the name this time. I think I might allow my dh to do the same thing as I chose my dd's name (as long as i like his choice - god i'm such a control freak).

MrsMcJnr - still wear thongs now and then but bought some nice maternity knicks from H&M!

MotherofZ - hope the tuna baguettes exit wasn't too harrowing.

Beller - not sure on the car seat - ask Halfords - but congrats on the healthy bean! (ps did you choose the surname - sorry i've been away for a while!)x

Bettymamma · 29/08/2007 14:50

Am having troubles with chose and choose today - apologies!

MotherofZ · 29/08/2007 14:54

Gave up on thongs long time ago and been wearingmy Bridget Jones style pants for a few weeks now!

beller · 29/08/2007 15:01

I bought some things from mothercare? Same size, but they are more stretchy!? Also have some of thos normal "shorts" type pants that atill are comfortable?

Bettymamma- I think im going to stick with Bell...Im comfortable with it, and can tell babybel anything s/he needs to know? XP is supposed to be coming round this weekend (to give me money he owes), so will try and talk to him then? Not that im going to give him any say...dosnt deserve it....Plus ill believe it when i see it!

Bettymamma · 29/08/2007 15:01

they aren't very comfy any more to be honest

Bettymamma · 29/08/2007 15:02

Beller - he's a bugger. Has he seen you since the bump became more visible? (am guessing the bump has become more visible! - though I'm still getting grown men pushing me out of the way for seats on the train). It may shock him into action.

MrsMcJnr · 29/08/2007 15:15

Sounds like a licence from you all to buy proper pants did I tell you that my maternity PJs arrived? Love them, love them

Beller ? hope he does turn up and give you the money

Bettymama ? I almost feel that people push in front of me push me out of the way more than before ? especially women

Bettymamma · 29/08/2007 15:20

I think they don't realise - actually, I hope they don't realise - otherwise society has a lot to worry about. I won't go there.

Go and get those comfy pants.

mixedmama · 29/08/2007 15:22

PMSL at the thong issue. I have been wearing boring bllack pants since pregnant with DS occasionally venturing into thong territory but very rarely. Such a frump.

OP posts:
MrsMcJnr · 29/08/2007 15:29

most of my knickers are from Tesco so specialist maternity kncikers will be quite posh for me! might even push the boat out and get some lacy ones!

Angechica · 29/08/2007 16:15

I got some packs of shorts knickers from Matalan recently in a 14 and they are sooo comfy. Had a clearout of undies drawer before going on hols and put all skimpies away for the foreseeable! Also all my 36C bras - I am now a 38DD / E and currently existing on only 2 bras that fit me.

Sometimes I think I am underestimating the size we will get to over the next few months though.

MrsMcJnr · 29/08/2007 16:18

I know what you mean, my two "new" bras are now getting tight - I see the need for another Bravissimo trip - scary though - these ones are already 34Gs I was a 32E pre-pg.

mixedmama · 29/08/2007 16:21

I feel really abnormal that I am not getting any bigger. 34D pre-preg and they all still seem to fit no problem.

OP posts:
Angechica · 29/08/2007 16:23

"In the Night Garden" just appeared on our right!

MrsMcJnr · 29/08/2007 16:29

Mixedmama - don't think everyone inflates at this stage

Angechica - what?!

mixedmama · 29/08/2007 16:52

I am so bored are you all going to be leaving me before 7 pm. So boring here.

OP posts:
Bettymamma · 29/08/2007 16:54

I spotted that Angechica - it freaked me out. macca pakka wakka moo.

If like last time my boobs will hit a peak and stop growing quite soon. And then they start leaking.......
