Hellooooo there

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
gingeme · 24/08/2007 14:02

Have to see what were doing for ds4's birthday first though its not realy a place to go to chat as it was very busy and noisy when we went. Worth going for all the free Fairy and Persil soap powder samples. I got a load as we went round and dh was just behind me and he got a load too. Didnt buy soap powder for quite a while after
Are we going to wait that long though? Would like totry one a bit sooner if poss. My dh has two weeks off first two weeks of September so if anyone wants to suggest somewhere.........

Naetha · 24/08/2007 14:16

All I ever hear from my DH is "can we have sex" sporadically throughout the day from around 6:30am to randomly in the middle of the night.

Bless him

MrsMcJnr · 24/08/2007 14:16

Those baby shows look annual, up here anyway, last one was in April so bad timing for me

mixedmama · 24/08/2007 15:03

We could go to the show and arrange to meet for Pizza or something near by after.

I am off the week of 3 September and semi free on the Monday and wednesday of that week.

Hi Ladies - sorry long time no post! Things been crazy busy. I am really frustrated as we were supposed to exchange on our house move today and then it suddenly transpires someone down the line doesn't have a piece of paper about something. Grrrrr... so we won't be moving next Friday and we're already surrounded by boxes. Ah well never mind.

I think the computer must be catching as I have a rotten cold that turned up overnight without warning and I feel terrible. Every muscle aches, my head hurts and I'm coughing like a good 'un. And bizarrely, my jaw aches more than anything! I haven't taken anything as yet as I'm a bit scared (1st pregnancy and all that - I don't know whether I'm coming or going) - would anyone advise anything?

I too am failing to bloom! I look fat not really pregnant, have put on 11 lb and am often tearful. I thought I was supposed to have glossy hair and feel fabulous and full of energy? Let's hope that's soon huh?

I hope everyone has a great weekend :-) xxx

barristermum · 24/08/2007 16:44

Aaah poor you beckyau - my last cold without my usual prop of Nurofen Cold and flu was a wretched affair as well. Have paracetamol, hot honey and lemon, vaseline to look after your nose and don't try and do too much.

Beckyau - I would have been BESIDES MYSELF in your position and his failure to then come home, whilst practically the best thing saving you both from the mother and father of all rows (sort of literally) would only have added fuel to my flames. Chatting calmly when the air has cleared is a good idea. Much of what has been said here about him being scared and reverting to a brief childhood whilst he still can is all very sensible and insightful I am sure, but he needs to know that you probably feel just as scared about how things will change and how you will cope and how your relationship will adapt and so on and to be projected into the role of the "one who is doing this to him" is rankly unfair. I think he needs to see how scared and upset that night has made you. That's my take anyway.

Mrs McJnr - are you less angry now hon?

As to meet up, if it's to be mid week in London it will need to be in the evening for me - on week of 3/9 I am free tues or Wed.

Have a lovely bank holiday all!

MrsMcJnr · 24/08/2007 16:51

Poor you BeckyAu I hope it all gets sorted out very quickly and that you feel much better

Barristermum ? the weekend slump has set in and I can?t be bothered to be angry at the mo boss has ignored my carefully constructed email this morning about when I think it would be best for all for me to work from home over next 5 weeks and the email telling him that the time recording system is under review after my complaint about being expected to make up time spent at AN appointments ? crap boss, de-motivation enhanced!

MrsBiscuit · 24/08/2007 17:00

Enjoy the sunny weekend, all.

We're off to Cyprus for a couple of weeks - looking forward to lying around doing nothing but reading .

GOing to dp's dads house tomorow and camping in fied/garden (he has a small sheep farm, the sheep are tame too and come up for strokes!). DS is very excited.

gingeme · 25/08/2007 15:20

Got to about midday and started to feel a bit better. dh home from work now so I might go and have a kip if my lo's will let me that si.
