Hello Everyone!

I am due my second baby on 27th June 2020. I thought I would start a separate thread for those due at the end of the month as I don't know about you but I feel a bit left behind in the June thread Grin. Maybe we can have people from 20th June to 4th July in here? Then we will all be super close!

Maybe we can comment with a bit of info so I'll start:

Due date: 27th June
Baby: #2
TTC cycle: 6
Symptoms: nausea when hungry and hot flushes

Hi! I have just stumbled across this thread. I am new to Mumsnet so not sure what I am doing but got excited to see there were people at the same stage I am at so had to join!
I just found out I am pregnant last weekend, the clear blue with weeks indicator said 1-2 weeks (which I think puts me at around 3-4 weeks?) and that’s all I have to go off really as my periods are irregular. I have been to the doctors yesterday who told me to ring the midwife. She said it is still too early and I am to call back in a couple of weeks to make my booking in appointment. So I kinda feel like I am just waiting around with not much happening at all.
I am 35 years old and have a 3 year old already. We had been TTC for a year and I have had every single symptom going lol I suffered awful nausea from morning til night with my first and this started last Saturday which made me do the test.
I am so pleased to have found this thread and I would love to join the WhatsApp group if possible just to be able to talk about everything. I know the 12 weeks is going to drag so much but I don’t feel like it has even started yet with me not even being able to book in with the midwife. I am impatient and don’t know how I am going to wait lol

Magpiefeather · 25/10/2019 06:39

Those who are worried and anxious, it’s completely understandable. I was with my first. This time around I’m much more relaxed and I think it’s because I keep telling myself

“Either you’re in control or you’re not. Worrying is wasted energy.”

I don’t mean to belittle anxiety at all, I know how debilitating it can be (DH suffers) and sometimes you can’t talk yourself round but for some reason it is really helping me to remember that worrying alone will not change the outcome. Just thought I’d share my favourite quote in case it helps anyone.

Hope you’re all feeling well today. Welcome new ladies!

Blossomingflower94 · 25/10/2019 07:07

Thanks @magpiefeather.

I've woken this morning with nausea and the horrible metallic taste in my mouth. The nausea made me wretch so I'm currently sat in bed with some dry crackers 😂 here we go! ...

marmitecheesetoast · 25/10/2019 07:26

Love that @Magpiefeather going to try and remember that!

Hi and congratulations to the new people!

Currently in Paris not eating any of the cheese or wine 😭 but, pastries and bread I can have! Grin

I had diahrrea last night and then fainted not long after, it was horrible. I do have low BP anyway and have been know to faint in the past, so just putting it down to that but it was horrible. Of course I googled it and brought up loads of pages about miscarriages/ectopic pg Hmm but I think it’s fine...?!

I called the midwife to refer yesterday and got emailed a form to fill in and send back. They said I’d get notification of a booking appt within 14 days but if it had been more than 14 days and not had an appt through to ring back! That seems a long time to wait to even get a date for booking appt, I hope it’s sooner than that!

I have only told two of my close friends other than DH so far. Will wait and tell parents after private scan hopefully if all is well

WhiteRose05 · 25/10/2019 10:49

Hi everyone & congrats!

I found out last week that I am due 30 June with Baby #1. I still can’t quite believe it!

I am 30 & also live near to Manchester, UK (saw there were a few others on here @thosethreewords, @gembags @Squisha82).

Feeling extremely anxious but excited. Have only told my husband so far! 😬🤩

Bird1991 · 25/10/2019 12:48

It’s been great to hear every ones stories of how every body’s doing and feeling!

Just wondered what others have done once they got that positive test? I popped into my doctors today to see “what I’m supposed to do?” They were lovely but was given a Mama Academy & Bounty pack and told everything is in there that I need. I’ve looked through it all now, a lot of leaflets and forms but no direction as to who I need to call or make an appointment with or when.
I’ve never been in this situation before and obviously can’t ask friends/family as we are keeping it quiet as it’s so early on still. Any advice would VERY greatly received! Anxious 28yr old waiting! Confused

Daisypod · 25/10/2019 13:55

@Bird1991 every area seems to do it differently, with us you ring the docs and they make an appointment to see a midwife at the surgery at 9 weeks. I know others have rung the midwifes directly for an appointment. You could try doing a web search for your local area to see if it gives any info?
Nice to see so many new faces here. I am still panicking every day even though I know there is nothing I can do. But today I did another clear blue and got 2-3 weeks which I didn't get to at all last time and the time before I was 6 weeks before I got it and that pregnancy didn't last much longer to to see it today at 16dpo has made me feel a lot happier things are progressing.
How's everyone else doing?

Hi All,

New to mumsnet and found your thread of similar due dates - due 2nd July 2020 (as per online calculator) with second baby - our DS will be 3 in December and amazingly we have fallen pregnant in our first cycle this time (took 3 months first time round)

Its all a super big secret from everyone apart from husband at the moment and dont want to tell anyone until around 18 weeks if possible due to my job (would love to tell earlier but just too risky if we can avoid it!) so any tips on keeping all the symptoms and growing bump (hopefully not too big to begin with!) hidden would be greatly appreciated as we go along!

Any other mummies already with one and scared/excited for the 2nd? I've lots of stories that going from 1 to 2 can be really hard so a little nervous!

Hope your all well and congratulations on all your BFP's!

x

Is anyone else freeeezing? I'm sitting here in a dressing gown and slippers (fully dressed underneath!) with the log fire roaring away and my hands are like blocks of ice.

I was so, so hot last week, it's bizarre! Wish I could skip the next few weeks and get a scan so I know everything is as it should be 😬

Squisha82 · 25/10/2019 18:04

@NotMaryWhitehouse yes! My hands and feet have been freezing this past week. And I'm really thirsty... been tempted to get my gloves out 🙈

NotMaryWhitehouse · 25/10/2019 18:12

Ha ha, glad it's not just me! Yes to gloves! I seem to be feeling worse on an evening, and have a bit of cramping this evening which makes me a bit nervous.

Lgxo · 25/10/2019 19:20

@SecondSecret

Yay we’re due date buddy’s 🥰 congrats lovely. This is my first so not sure what to expect myself. 18 weeks is a long to keep it a secret, I take my hat off to you!!

Has anyone else been testing each morning? I’d love to know what your test lines look like/ how strong they are! The bottom test in my picture is fmu this morning. My mum says it’s quite dark for how far I am, 4+1 (15dpo)

Due end of June/start of July 2020
Blossomingflower94 · 25/10/2019 20:20

@lgxo Im 4+1 today too, just did a test this evening (after a full day drinking lots) and my test line is darker than my control. I did get a definite + on 10DPO though so must have implanted early. Dark lines are a good thing!

Due end of June/start of July 2020
Lgxo · 25/10/2019 20:25

@blossomingflower94

I also got a definite positive on 10dpo, I think I implanted 6dpo as I had a bleed after sex.

Good to see the dark lines!

MooChops89 · 25/10/2019 22:22

@SecondSecret I'm due 2nd July too, also having baby no2! DD is 18 months old. We wanted a 2 year gap but now its actually happening I keep switching between excited and "argh!"
Also only took us one cycle this time, although only took 2 last time!

SecondSecret · 25/10/2019 22:36

Aaah @Blossomingflower94 / @lgxo / @MooChops89 we are all due date buddies!Yay!

Life got in the way for our age gap plans and we weren’t in a stable place until now (apart from my job!) so have landed with the 3.5 year gap by the time new baby arrives!

I used the last of our tests with my BFP so no more testing for me - haven’t even called the gp surgery yet to book in! No rush eh?

HL123 · 25/10/2019 23:35

Hi all Smile congratulations on your pregnancies.
I got a BFP on 13/10, and I'm 5+2 weeks now if my calculations are right.. I think I'm due on 24.06.20. I wasn't actually TTC however I won't go in to that! I'm 30 and this will be my first child. Only symptoms I was having were sore boobs and tiredness, but the last couple of days sickness has hit me badly!

Blossomingflower94 · 26/10/2019 07:03

@HL123 congrats! I'm 4+2 today and the nausea is dreadful this morning. I've yet to be sick but I've not managed to get out of bed yet.

Is your sickness all day or just in the morning? Hope you feel better soon x

Blossomingflower94 · 26/10/2019 08:17

Spoke to soon! As soon as I tried to eat something i've been sick. Feel loads better now though!

honeybee1986 · 26/10/2019 08:26

Last night had a bit of a bleed so in panic mode now 😟 just 5 weeks today .. not sure what they would I be able to see at 5 weeks on a scan . Hope everyone is ok x

Lgxo · 26/10/2019 08:32

@Blossomingflower94

I’m not looking forward to the sickness. Luckily nothing has hit me yet, fingers crossed!

@honeybee1986

Thinking of you hun. Try not to panic so much, easier said than done I know. I’m not sure what they’d be able to see at 5 weeks. Maybe a yolk sac but it would have to be a transvaginal scan? Have you contacted anyone about your bleed? When I met the midwife they gave me a number for my hospitals early pregnancy unit.

honeybee1986 · 26/10/2019 09:12

@Lgxo

Thank you, no I haven't contacted anyone yet I thought I would see if it subsided as I don't have any cramps as such , but I still have some light bleeding. I haven't seen the midwife yet untill 8 weeks. I'll call 111 and ask them for advice about how to go about getting a scan x

Lgxo · 26/10/2019 09:38

@honeybee1986

Let us know how it goes. A good sign that you’re not cramping. Will be thinking of you ❤️

thirteen92 · 26/10/2019 09:40

Hey everyone, hope I'm ok to jump on here!

Cycle #4
EDD 26th June 2020

I've had a bit of a roller coaster so far... AF was due 21st Oct. I had BFN every day except yesterday (25th). I got a BFP on CB digital yesterday morning. I then waited a few hours and did another CB digital and it came back negative.

Went to docs for bloods done yesterday, they tested urine and it came back BFN. Waiting for my blood results to come in on Monday!

So I really don't know if I'm pregnant or not. I found it difficult to understand why it took 4 days past my AF to get a BFP and then get subsequent BFN!

I've completely missed AF now. Had some spotting two days ago but it was incredibly light, almost like a tinted discharge but a tiny amount.

Yesterday I became incredibly bloated as the day went on and I've had cramps and a sharp pain in my right side since last night... I still have it now.

I've now convinced myself that I'm having an ectopic pregnancy :(

Can anyone offer any words of wisdom/advice? My DH is sick to death of me crying and going on about it but I just want to get a BFP and it be a viable pregnancy but these pains are concerning me.

If I do get my BFP I'm 5 +1 today!

Thank you :)
