Hello Everyone!

I am due my second baby on 27th June 2020. I thought I would start a separate thread for those due at the end of the month as I don't know about you but I feel a bit left behind in the June thread Grin. Maybe we can have people from 20th June to 4th July in here? Then we will all be super close!

Maybe we can comment with a bit of info so I'll start:

Due date: 27th June
Baby: #2
TTC cycle: 6
Symptoms: nausea when hungry and hot flushes

@blossomingflower94 I did a digital thia morning, af was due monday and it came up with those amazing words, so I would always recommend leaving it a few days as I did a digi Monday and got a negative

Blossomingflower94 · 23/10/2019 08:58

Ah ok. Thanks for the info! I might wait till tomorrow then to do the digital. 😄

I've carried on with the IC too and the line is almost as dark as the control now. I'm only 12DPO today so that's cool!

Everything crossed for you both 💜

Magpiefeather · 23/10/2019 10:05

@marmitecheesetoast yes I am dreading the fatigue too! I think I had a taste of it yesterday afternoon, had to try really hard to stay awake but I kept being rudely awakened to pretend to be a vet.

I think it’s partly the sudden lack of caffeine as well to be honest though! I’m allowing myself two cups of tea a day (well within the nhs caffeine guidelines for pregnancy), so I used one of my allowed cups to get me through the afternoon.

When do you think you will tell your 2.5 year old, marmite? I’m going to try and wait as long as poss I think but if I start with the throwing up again like last time I might have to tell her.

MRSRCH · 23/10/2019 10:50

@blossomingflower94 that's good! My ic's were still faint even this morning when I did my digi so urs will probably show up! With my other pregnancies I've not showed a positive until 18dpo onwards so I was shocked to of seen a faint line around 9-10dpo

Blossomingflower94 · 23/10/2019 12:06

@Magpiefeather When did your nausea start last time? I'm currently only nauseous in the evening, mainly when I'm hungry.

@MRSRCH yes, I was shocked when I got a definite positive at 10DPO and its just kept getting darker which is good. Just brought a CB digital so i'll wait a few hours without drinking loads and test then. Everything crossed, although I won't be disappointed if it doesn't show yet, I know i'm still pregnant :)

marmitecheesetoast · 23/10/2019 12:12

Know the feeling @magpiefeather! I have decided 3 cups of tea a day is ok, as long as they’re spaced out and I don’t over brew them! I don’t have coke or much chocolate or anything else with caffeine so think that’s ok. Honestly I don’t think I could cope with less than 3 cups. I’m still waiting for my 2.5 year old to ‘sleep through the night’ 🤪
I don’t think I will tell her for a while yet as not sure she’ll quite understand the concept plus it’s a long time to wait. And of course things may go wrong. I think there are books that can be helpful, both ones to read with your toddler that lets them understand they have a baby brother or sister coming, and ones that give you guidance on how to broach it? My friend who had her second last year recommended a book called ‘the second baby book’ by Sarah Ockwell Smith so I might check that out.

Congratulations @bird1991 that’s exactly what happens to me with my first and remember how completely shocked and unsure I felt about it all! The good thing about pregnancy I guess is that you’ve got 9 months to get your head around it all!

I’m really struggling to concentrate at work all I can think about is this!

DH and I are off to Paris for a two night child-free break tomorrow morning! We’ve had it planned for a while and I did half wonder if I’d been Pg by the time of the trip. I am slightly gutted about not being able to have any of the wine or soft cheese though! 💔 But hopefully will be able to relax and process the BFP news a bit more and maybe even get some sleep!!

How’s everyone else feeling today?

Magpiefeather · 23/10/2019 12:38

@Blossomingflower94 nausea started in small amounts from halfway through 5weeks pregnant I think, and then BAM full on sickness from 6 weeks on the dot. It was such a shock as it just ramped up. Think it must have been with a hormone surge as it got better / worse at various times throughout. I did get better at managing it though!

My best tips if anyone here does get nausea / vomiting , are mainly don’t get too hungry! With #1 I had to eat every two hours at least (even if just a cracker) otherwise I would definitely throw up. And had to eat something before getting out of bed on a morning.

This time round I’ve had a few waves of nausea (I’m only 5 weeks though), and lately have even had nausea as an ovulation symptom! So maybe I’m just very prone to being nauseous. Who knows!!

@marmitecheesetoast yes that’s my thinking too! Even if something’s happening tomorrow it seems a long wait for a two year old! That book sounds great, will have a look.

Maybe I’ll up my tea to three cups a day, I am definitely missing it!!

Wow Paris sounds amazing! Have a wonderful time!

Blossomingflower94 · 23/10/2019 13:32

@Magpiefeather thank you for that info! First pregnancy is super confusing!
I'm 4 weeks today so I did a CB digital just after lunch (after drinking a pint of water) Thinking it might not be positive yet but there are those magic words. SO happy to finally see that.

Due end of June/start of July 2020
Bisquick · 23/10/2019 13:50

Hello! Sorry just dipping in and out since I'm still super nervous. Have our first scan booked in for the 7th of November. I don't have ANY symptoms yet, other than needing to pee all the time. My DD isn't as interested in bf these days, wonder if that's to do with pregnancy.
Gah! Wish the 7th would roll around quickly!

Magpiefeather · 23/10/2019 14:13

Hooray @Blossomingflower94! Smile

Bisquick · 23/10/2019 16:15

Congrats @Blossomingflower94 Cake

MRSRCH · 23/10/2019 16:30

Congratulations @blossomingflower94 I knew it would come up for you! It's wonderful seeing those words, makes It all the more real now!

Blossomingflower94 · 23/10/2019 18:43

Thank you all :)

Can't quite believe it! Going to carry on doing the IC for a few more days just to see the line progression (im such a geek and find it quite fun).

How are you all feeling?

Glomum77 · 23/10/2019 18:46

Hi everyone,
Thankyou for this group and congrats to all of you. I have been going through other threads for pregnancy testing on here in the last few weeks whilst i was waiting to do mines and I have gotten my BFP now. Well a few of them as I have been testing like a fiend.
Very nerve wracking stuff. I'm 41 and due June 30th 2020 with my 3rd baby following a partial molar pregnancy last year.
At the moment I dont have many symptoms except this strange feeling in my lower abdomen that something is brewing this is sometimes accompanied by a dull ache or pain. I will get private genetic screening as soon as I can around week 10 which is mid December. That way I can relax and enjoy Christmas and New year.
Roll on the new year!!

Glomum77 · 23/10/2019 19:00

I was doing the one step sticks daily and nothing showed. My cycle is 24 days and i was testing from 7 dpo I never got a line. I did a clear blue test which showed nothing 4 days ago then I did another one 2 days ago hich was one day before af was due which showed up positive. I did a digital clear blue again yesterday which gave me the magic words. Although it says detects 5-6days before af I didnt find that to be the case with me. Good luck

MRSRCH · 23/10/2019 19:19

@glomum77 I have that same feeling! Almost like a strange swirly, faint crampy feeling.

Apart from that I'm starting to get slight heartburn already which I'm shocked about.

purpletrees3 · 23/10/2019 19:28

Hi All & big congrats! Hope everyone is feeling well.
I'm 33 years old and 5 weeks into my first pregnancy. Feeling anxious & wanting to keep the news quiet for now so I'm very glad to have found this group for some reassurance.
I rang my GP practice & was directed to the midwifery hotline who booked me in for 8 week midwife appt & 12 week scan. But otherwise nothing else. Do most people make a GP appt aswell. Feeling clueless & unorganised just now! Thanks xx

Glomum77 · 23/10/2019 19:36

@MRSRCH yes exactly like that. Also constantly needing to use the toilet at night. Literally at least 10 times and then taking forever to get back to sleep.

Glomum77 · 23/10/2019 19:39

@purpletrees3 congratulations to you .
You dont need to see your Gp unless you have a specific concern. Once you have your booking with the Midwife they will send confirmation of your appt to your gp practice

MRSRCH · 23/10/2019 19:41

@glomum77 I haven't needed to wee much yet but I'm usually a person who goes (shall we say and tmi by the way lol) at least once every 3-5 days but I've been going at least twice a day recently. I am glad I don't need to constantly pee yet as Im struggling to move around as it is due to my back so thought that would be a complete nightmare lol.
I've never found out this early before so the early stages are still very new to me lol

Glomum77 · 23/10/2019 19:45

@MRSRCH This is also very early for me, everything seems so far away.
Are you having back pain already or is that something that was pre existing?

MRSRCH · 23/10/2019 20:37

@glomum77 pre existing unfortunately, I just got my mri results yesterday and on top of degenerative disc disease, I also have a bulging disc which is pinching nerves. Petrified about what it's going to be like in later pregnancy as both my babies were 9 pounders

Blossomingflower94 · 24/10/2019 04:10

Another night of tossing and turning. This cough/cold is knocking me for six. Weird dreams last night too and I don't usually have dreams!

Just woke up feeling sick/hungry. DP brought some bedside snacks for me yesterday which I'm super grateful for.

Going to attempt some more sleep then see how I feel in the real morning 😂🙈

Magpiefeather · 24/10/2019 06:01

@Blossomingflower94 I was exactly the same! Have a horrid cough and cold, feel like death and was up about 1.30-3.30 this morning not able to get back to sleep. Then DD wakes me up at 5.30 just as I was in a nice deep sleep! Oh well.

Also woke up feeling sick/hungry - have now got myself a stash of crackers by the bed. Munched through three crackers before I went back to sleep at 3.30 - darent do another few hours on an empty stomach.

So sorry you are feeling rubbish too but solidarity because I’m right there with you!

TheLongestWait · 24/10/2019 07:51

Hi all, welcome to those who have joined more recently Smile sorry I've been a bit quiet, things have been a bit hectic with work etc.

I'm currently 5+3 based on the date of my last period but I know I ovulate slightly later in my cycle so pretty convinced I'm 5wks either today or tomorrow.

How's everyone feeling? I still don't have any major symptoms. The mild cramps and pinching seem to have subsided completely now. I've started to feel more tired but to be honest no different to how I felt before I fell pregnant I just seemed to have a weird burst of energy for the first week! I can't help but worry somethings not right as I keep waiting for the symptoms to whack me in the face but then the rational part of me knows it's very early days still yet.
