Hello Everyone!

I am due my second baby on 27th June 2020. I thought I would start a separate thread for those due at the end of the month as I don't know about you but I feel a bit left behind in the June thread Grin. Maybe we can have people from 20th June to 4th July in here? Then we will all be super close!

Maybe we can comment with a bit of info so I'll start:

Due date: 27th June
Baby: #2
TTC cycle: 6
Symptoms: nausea when hungry and hot flushes

Hi ladies, hope you are all fine. I have my 12 w scan next week and just had harmony test over the weekend. Fingers crossed, results will be fine. (12+1 today)

I have a massive stiff neck for the last 2 days, last night I couldnt sleep at all. Can not turn my head from left to right or look up. I apply heat which temporarily feels better. I have checked whether any creams are allowed in pregnancy (voltarol, deep heat, tiger) and results are inconclusive, majority belives no-no in pregnancy.

Do you know any preg-friendly home remedies?

Thanks for your help.

Bikbikmum · 15/12/2019 15:25

@Smiffette @BabyBird20 @PassTheWater I had booked NCT class for May , will be over a weekend on my w34. I wonder whether it would be too late?

bubblesqueek · 15/12/2019 15:44

What's nct class? I had a sneak peak in 3D at out scan, it's a mix between lovely seeing it but also a bit alien like ha.. it was jumping all over, kicking it's legs and balancing on its head.. also had the hicups which was cute x

Due end of June/start of July 2020
BabyBird20 · 15/12/2019 16:18

@bubblesqueek it's a private class to help you and partner prepare for birth and baby. A lot of my friends said the best thing about it was having a close 'mum friends' group to help get you through everything!

BabyBird20 · 15/12/2019 16:19

Ps that scan is amazing @bubblesqueek ! I had a sneak peek in 3d at my harmony test last week and it was so freaky! Looked like it's little head was in pieces where the skull plates haven't fused yet!!

Bikbikmum · 16/12/2019 12:40

@bubblesqueek waoww! 3D scans look more exciting! Can see a lovely baby :)

PassTheWater · 16/12/2019 19:03

@Bikbikmum - the one I was looking at actually specified dates depending on how far along you were. I guess the reason being is so that you can make friends who are in similar positions to you. Also I think I made a mistake and meant to say antenatal classes. I still don’t know the difference! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Bikbikmum · 16/12/2019 21:29

@PassTheWater NCT is the name of the charity (national childbirth trust), they are also very famous for providing private antenatal classes and workshops. So you didnt make a mistake. I think midwives will also suggest some free nhs classes. NCT offers these private with a fee.

Does anyone know what can help ease the nausea after smelling something horrific? Saying that there's only certain thing such as sweet perfumes, stale cigarettes, sweet soaps or foods. Once I smell it it makes me feel sick all day and quite literally ruins my day!
I had yesterday off of work and was fine, went to work today and was greeted by all the above smells and am suffering even though I'm now home. Its driving me berserk

Bikbikmum · 18/12/2019 18:26

Just had my harmony test results today.. we will have a baby girl ❤️ am sooo happy! And all tests came back low risk , less than 1/10,000. Just want to share with you , I think now I start feeling super excited and it all become real.

Izabela86 · 18/12/2019 19:00

@MRSRCH try smelling orange or lemon peel! Does the trick for me x

Izabela86 · 18/12/2019 19:47

And congratulations @Bikbikmum really happy for you! I have the harmony test booked for tomorrow (I’m 33 and had a MMC in May). Fingers crossed!

Bikbikmum · 18/12/2019 20:24

@Izabela86 I am 33 too! I am very sorry. Stay positive. I wish everything will be fine this time.. sending you positive vibes ❤️🌈

BabyBird20 · 18/12/2019 20:39

@Bikbikmum mine came today too! 1:10000 risk and I'm having a boy!! Over the moon but surprised as convinced I was having a girl!! 😂😂😂😍😍😍 Can finally relax and enjoy this a bit more, been smiling like a Cheshire Cat all day!!

Izabela86 · 18/12/2019 21:01

@Bikbikmum thank you! I have a better feeling about this one so hopefully all goes well. Lots of hugs x

Bikbikmum · 18/12/2019 21:02

@BabyBird20 Congrats! I hear you.. I am
soo excited since got the news and can't sit still lol 😂 No of us would mind boy or a girl but once you know the gender, it becomes a real baby now! Meanwhile, still waiting for my 12 scan, will be this Friday. I am 12+4 today. I hope to see this lovely girl. I wish for all of us wonderful news...

MRSRCH · 18/12/2019 21:36

@Izabela86 orange makes me gag at the moment but I'll definitely give lemon a go!

Congrats on finding out what bubbas genders are! How do u go about the harmony tests?

Blizy · 18/12/2019 22:32

Fab news BikBikmum and Babybird really pleased for you both.

Magpiefeather · 19/12/2019 07:08

12 week scan for me today. Not sure why but quite nervous. Didn’t sleep very well. Daft I know as I can’t change anything but I think this is the day when it all becomes “real”.

Also nervous about the full bladder thing! Haha didn’t have to do that with first bub (different hospital). Lying down being pressed on with the scanner with a bladder full of a litre of water sounds slightly torturous to me but never mind!

Fingers crossed all is well.

Great news about your harmony tests @Bikbikmum and @BabyBird20

Rachybiscuit26 · 19/12/2019 08:32

@Magpiefeather its my scan day too. I'm also super nervous. Also didnt sleep. Fingers crossed our babies are cooking nicely. Xx

LassoOfTruth · 19/12/2019 13:02

Good luck with your scans today @Magpiefeather and @Rachybiscuit26! So sweet to see these little babies in scan pics too - congratulations @bubblesqueek!
At my scan they put me a little bit further along so my dd is now 19th June. I'm just glad to not be feeling sick anymore (definitely more sick with this one that last time Hmm). My main symptom now is that I feel like I'm hiking at high altitude every time I go up stairs. My combined Down's/Edwards/Patau test results came back low risk - certainly low risk for my age (40), so that's something of a relief. Going to just enjoy Christmas now and try to relax a bit - glad this is my last day of work before then because I am struggling to find any work clothes in my wardrobe that I can fit into! Blaming the mince pies for now ...

Piecrust32 · 19/12/2019 16:15

Thank you all for the messages of support ❤️ , next scan is Monday so we will see what’s happening,

Lovely seeing all the scan photos x

Magpiefeather · 19/12/2019 22:29

Ah that’s great @LassoOfTruth! Hope you can have a lovely relaxing Christmas time now. I am getting out of breath and a bit dizzy sometimes too.

Scan was great today, they put me at 13+4 so that brings my due date forward to 21st June now. Same happened with 1st bub and she was a week and a day late in the end so we shall see if that’s similar this time!

The scan looked amazing. Baby was wriggling around all over the place, we could see arms, hands, the brain! Baby’s ribs. Just incredible. Have to wait for combined downs patau and Edwards risk to come in post but the sonographer said the nuchal fold measurement was well within Normal range so that’s positive.

There was a mega long wait for the bloods then the consultant, and I was definitely hungry and thirsty when we started the hour journey back but we had to go and pick up eldest from nursery. Windy country lanes coupled with hunger and banging headache resulted in throwing up all the way home. Great! At least I was a passenger this time and managed to catch all the sick! Thank goodness for my coat-pocket sick bag too! Husband was very supportive but mildly grossed out that I also simultaneously weed on his car seat. Sorry love Blush

Glamorous pregnancy life! I would like my glow now please!

MRSRCH · 21/12/2019 08:42

So had my scan yesterday and after all the worrying, my little squidge is all confirmed! Due 2nd July. Going to tell my eldest son today, he had said throughout the year that he hoped for another brother or sister so we can't wait to tell him!

Due end of June/start of July 2020
showmewhatyougot · 21/12/2019 16:24

@MRSRCH lovely scan! But just Incase you didn't realize it has your name and details on it
(And we are at the same hospital!) Smile

I have my scan Monday and cannot wait!
