@dinosauraddict thank you and @threegreensheep no that makes sense :) I'm not on Facebook but do know my midwife personally just hate mithering her lol I'm not too bad now tbh but up to my scan last sat I was constantly a nervous wreck due to prior late mc but trying to think more positive now just frustrated as I've got an anterior placentor so movement is minimal

whiskersonkittenss · 24/10/2019 14:23

@misspepper8 I'm probably over the caffeine allowance each day too! I love green tea and the occasional coke zero Blush

I have my second 20 week scan tomorrow, I'm going to have a fizzy drink before hand so hopefully this time he isn't hiding!

whiskersonkittenss · 24/10/2019 14:26

I'm not coping very well with my depression at the moment. I'm already on 100mg sertraline and don't want to increase because of potential risks to the baby. most days I can't bring myself to shower, sort out my laundry etc and then I feel more guilty and useless. it's a bit shit but hoping it passes

Jesskir89 · 24/10/2019 17:39

@whiskersonkittenss sorry to hear you're struggling the stress of pregnancy won't help. Hopefully you'll feel better after your scan tomorrow x

Yvonne1988 · 24/10/2019 18:43

We went out today to look at a sofa, went and bought them. Then he went and took me to a local baby shop. Unexpected as he said we were waiting til after Xmas. Found the buggy and cot and put a deposit on them 🙊 they're both grey, don't seem to do bright buggies now. It's the venicci carbo lux. Just have to pay it up bit by bit and they keep it til we are ready to pick up. Exciting.

MunchyMunchkin · 24/10/2019 18:54

@Keyboard91pooping pretty much happens to everyone. My mw discreetly scooped it up out of the pool and got rid of it 😂 there wasn’t much though as often all the hormones mean you have a preference labour clear out. No one tells you about that either.

Yvonne1988 · 24/10/2019 19:11

@munchymunchkin I'm sure I did last time even though I had a massive clear out just as I was waiting for contactions to start. My partner will be told under no circumstances if i do does he ever bring it up ever for the rest of our lives 😂

MissPepper8 · 24/10/2019 19:30

@whiskersonkittenss I think Pepsi has caffeine in it.. Someone told me you can't get hold label coke that's caffeine free. I give in to drink coke mind cause water/squash/tea makes me vomit still.

Sorry you're struggling hun xx Try talk to your mw they can offer you extra support and help. I struggled with DS (he was a rainbow baby and I was still grieving when I got pregnant). It's really lovely just to know you have someone is there.

MunchyMunchkin · 24/10/2019 19:57

Re caffeine - the evidence is pretty poor and mainly related to first trimester miscarriage. The book expecting better has a great summary but I really wouldn’t worry about it!

MissPepper8 · 24/10/2019 21:17

@MunchyMunchkin I actually didn't know the complications of it lol.. I just decided to cut it all out with DS. Ironically he was really lazy but this time we have a zoomy in there. Maybe not related to movement but found it funny, I can't stomach anything else right now anyway x

Yvonne1988 · 24/10/2019 22:24

Off to Glasgow tomorrow so I may have just booked a gender scan 🙈

barnyb · 25/10/2019 08:00

@Yvonne1988 that's so exciting !! Yes we got an all black pram! And grey cot. Seems to be the style now. But will jazz it all up with pretty pink things :) xx

ELW85 · 25/10/2019 08:06

Morning all

I haven’t posted in a while but work has been crazy busy.
I’m 18+6 and still not really sure I’m feeling movements. Anyone else having this? It’s bothering me a bit!
This is my first baby, but I thought I’d be able to feel definite movements by now.

barnyb · 25/10/2019 09:38

@ELW85 I'm 21+5 and I have felt baby a lot but some days I hardly feel her at all! I think it's all up and down at the beginning? I don't know how it's all supposed to work 🤷🏻‍♀️ also I heard that for first time mums it's not uncommon to not feel anything at all until around 21 weeks xxxx

Jesskir89 · 25/10/2019 10:46

@ELW85 I'm 18 plus 6 too and barely felt it but was told last week I've got an anterior placentor x

sadtoday21 · 25/10/2019 11:03

@ELW85 I'm 20+1 and I still don't feel anything that I can definitely say is baby :(. In the past two nights I thought I had some slight wriggling late at night, but I'm really not sure. Also my first baby and also anterior placenta. It's driving me insane because all I want to do is feel him moving around!

MockingJay27 · 25/10/2019 11:29

@ELW85 I’m 19+1 with anterior placenta, i think i may have felt the odd flutters once or twice when I’m in bed but nothing i could say is definitely baby. Try not to worry its completely normal.

atomcats · 25/10/2019 11:32

I’m in the no movements club too. I’m 18+4. I also have no real visible bump so keep getting super helpful comments like “oh but you don’t look it!” And “are you sure?”. Super helpful guys, thanks a lot 🙄

ELW85 · 25/10/2019 11:37

@barnyb @Jesskir89 @sadtoday21 @MockingJay27 @atomcats - thank you all for the reassurance! I’m sorry you guys are in the same boat, but it’s nice to know it’s relatively normal!
When I had to have a scan recently the sonographer said I have an anterior placenta but kind of off to one side so I’d feel more movements on the right I think.
I’d just like some reassurance that’s all it is and he’s ok, so roll on the 20 week scan!
I do feel the odd twinge (almost like a brief throbbing) here and there but I’m just not convinced.
There’s always something to think about in pregnancy isn’t there?! Xx

satsumasaturday · 25/10/2019 12:40

Bit late to this but I'm 21+1 and still not entirely convinced I've felt any movements. Also have an anterior placenta. I had my scan at 19+1 and things were fine which reassured me but really wish he'd start wriggling soon! I also have no bump (well I'm on holiday at the moment so I've developed a food bump) but I know once I'm back home the "are you sure you're pregnant comments will start again" 😒

sadtoday21 · 25/10/2019 13:29

@satsumasaturday you sound similar to me! Thanks for the reassurance. At 20+1 I am starting to feel this is really late for first movements, but glad to know I'm not alone. Also had scan at 19+4 and things looked fine then, so I know I should try to relax (easier said than done!).

For all of us with late movement, what do you think you've felt so far? I think I've felt an occasional wriggle or muscle spasm very late at night, but absolutely nothing during the day (even after eating and sitting still). Sometimes it feels like hunger or the feeling in your stomach when you drive too fast over a big hill? Does any of this sound right? (First timer here).

Ginandtonic31 · 25/10/2019 13:55

I'm currently 20 weeks and starting feeling little tapping at 18 weeks at night, like a pulse or muscle spasm. They now feel more like wriggles. Only really at night when in bed but just today I've noticed some wriggles in the day.

Yvonne1988 · 25/10/2019 14:28

Found out we're having a boy. Can't believe it lol never thought I'd have a boy 😂 I did want a girl but I kinda thought it was a boy from first scan.

Jesskir89 · 25/10/2019 14:38

To all the none movement feelers its must be out annoying anterior placentors lol. I've just felt odd flutters but days apart @yvonne1988 a boy is great with you having a girl already and as long as he's healthy that's all that matters congrats :)

satsumasaturday · 25/10/2019 15:15

@sadtoday21 I guess the thing that I have felt (which I'm really not sure is the baby or not) sort of feels like a twitching muscle perhaps. But it's so barely noticeable I'm not sure if I've always had them but never noticed before as I didn't used to obsess over twitching feelings in my belly!

Congratulations @Yvonne1988 😊
