Did someone mention on here that Sainsbury's are planning a 25% offer? Can't find the post now, just wondering when it is

Yvonne1988 · 20/10/2019 19:27

@MunchyMunchkin I really want a water birth this time! Question.. do you get out for the placenta or do you just sit there in all that blood? I don't care but it's just something I wondered, one of the things keeping me up at night 🤣
First come first served though for the pool at the hospital so fingers crossed

MunchyMunchkin · 20/10/2019 20:07

@avocadoincident it’s from Tuesday. They do maternity online as well (little known fact)

@yvonne1988 my placenta took its sweet time so I ended up out of the pool on the bed to have the Synto injection to evict it. Probs sat in the water for 5-10mins before I had enough and got out. The blood gets quite diluted in the big pool so you don’t notice too much. Plus you end up in the shower after anyway.
I also needed to be examined after and a few Stitches anyway.

MunchyMunchkin · 20/10/2019 20:09

@Dinosauraddict Lidl have great value Moses baskets at the moment.
A bedside crib would last longer though and they are fairly cheaper second hand with a new mattress or Lidl also have one!
I did this and used pram downstairs. We did have a second hand Moses but the beast wouldn’t sleep in it and outgrew it quickly.
So I’m donating it to the local baby bank shortly.

avocadoincident · 20/10/2019 20:16

@MunchyMunchkin thanks a lot I can't wait!!!!!

maria94 · 20/10/2019 20:51

gingerbiscuitqueen · 20/10/2019 21:10

@avocadoincident it was me - I heard it starts half term week and it's 25%off on all TU clothing Smile

maria94 · 21/10/2019 13:27

Ahhh I accidentally ate half a gone off peperami!! It went off 3 weeks ago 😫 it's been kept in the fridge but 3 weeks is a long time.. will it effect/harm baby?!

Jesskir89 · 21/10/2019 17:49

@maria94 I didn't think you could eat them even in date tbh but I can't see 1 doing anything if you're worried message your midwife

maria94 · 21/10/2019 17:52

@Jesskir89 I read that they were ok as they have been pasteurised to kill off any bacteria and sealed in an airtight packaging 😬

gingerbiscuitqueen · 21/10/2019 19:59

Can anyone recommend any good products to use after the birth? I want to stock up on some nice goodies to use after having the baby to make me feel more human again. Smile

MissPepper8 · 21/10/2019 20:25

@gingerbiscuitqueen

I'm using this now for my skin, but I love Sanctuary Spa skin radiance jelly, it smells like watermelon and you put it on wet after a bath ect.

There's also if you Google stuff to use after birth, oils ect. Not much of a luxury really lol but I made, I think it was lavander, diluted witch Hazel and aloe vera gel spray to spray down there, for me and my sister after giving birth and it helped with stinging for my sister xx

strawberrye · 22/10/2019 09:20

Hi everyone, can I be a super late joiner? I have been lurking and reading for some time, but too scared to join due to 3 previous miscarriages. However I'm now 20+2, due 8th March and had my anomaly scan yesterday which went really well so I feel it's time to finally say hi! This is the first pregnancy I've had which has got this far and I am expecting a little girl, although we are keeping it a secret in real life. Scan pics attached.

Jesskir89 · 22/10/2019 10:29

@strawberrye welcome and congratulations :) a few of us have previously had bad experiences you're not alone. Those scan pics are so cute x

sadtoday21 · 22/10/2019 10:44

Hi @strawberrye!!! It's great to see you on here! I was going to suggest you join from the other thread. I had to work up the courage to join too. So glad to hear your scan went well yesterday, mine did too! I'm due 12 March. Congratulations on your little girl and hope we both start feeling stronger movements soon Xxx

Thanks everyone for the well wishes in advance of my scan! Saw baby boy again yesterday, measuring 19+4 and all looking good so far which is a huge relief. The sonographer was terrible, however, just really rude and abrasive. She carried out the scan in the same room as my MMC at 12 weeks and when I told her this she just looked at me and was quiet. She didn't explain anything she was doing and wouldn't answer any of my questions either. And she never showed me the baby at all except for once, but the the screen was so tiny and grainy I couldn't see anything. I was so disappointed because both my 12 and 16 week scans were really clear and I saw so much of the baby and it was amazing and got great photos. This lady refused to even print off a photo since we hadn't brought 10 pounds in cash! Eventually we got one, but she took such a horrible photo that you can't really see anything. Absolutely nothing like the beautiful photos I have from 16 week scan. So, really happy baby seems to be ok, but not totally reassured by this experience. I think we will go and get a private scan next weekend. We can't really afford it, but I just really want to see the baby and have more peace of mind. Hope everyone else is well!

Jesskir89 · 22/10/2019 12:30

@sadtoday21 sorry to hear you had a bad experience but so glad all is well. Are you sharing your pic?

SweetChillis · 22/10/2019 12:35

@strawberrye Welcome, we have the same due date 😊 Your scan pictures are lovely and really clear. My anomaly scan is on Monday, feel like I've been waiting forever!

barnyb · 22/10/2019 12:57

Xxx

barnyb · 22/10/2019 12:59

@strawberrye hello lovely ! Congratulations! Lovely scan photo :) xx

MissPepper8 · 22/10/2019 13:27

@strawberrye I looked and thought girl, and you are having one lol. Lovely picture.

I can totally understand worries after my DS was a rainbow baby. Enjoy and congratulations x

maria94 · 22/10/2019 14:01

@barnyb I think it'll be fine! Can't see why not ☺️ X

MiniJMac · 22/10/2019 14:18

Hi @strawberrye welcome. What amazing scan pictures. The first one looks like they are giving you the finger 🤣
@keyboard91 we must be due around the same time? Weve been told 28th March

Yvonne1988 · 22/10/2019 16:19

Had my whooping cough vaccine this morning. It did not take long before my arm started to kill. Had to make some tablet today and got it in quick thankfully because it takes alot if stirring.
Can't move my arm much now!
