Puglover88 · 20/09/2019 12:39

@challengeyourreality congratulations!! Hope you’re both doing well! xx

Good luck to those who’ve had sweeps, hopefully things kick off for you.

Dyra · 20/09/2019 13:10

Woo hoo @challengeyourreality! Congratulations! 🥳

pinkpig381 · 20/09/2019 14:15

Congratulations @challengeyourreality! ThanksCake

DustyDoorframes · 20/09/2019 15:29

Oh @challengeyourreality that's brilliant!! Congratulations!!!
And I am most pleased we got two 19/9/19 babies after all, @Moraxella I had you in my head as the day before, I'm so sorry!

I am swept. 2cm-ish and wouldn't need a pessary to induce at this point so that's good- whatever happens I'm now unlikely to be stuck in hospital carb dodging for ages, phew!

IVEgottheDECAF · 20/09/2019 15:36

I had moraxella in my head as day before too!

Good news on the sweep dusty

BBell2 · 20/09/2019 16:23

@Moraxella @ challenge woohoo that's ace! Cant wait to see pics of your babes.

I woke up in the morning and thought this is the original section date I declined - idiot!

Steadily losing bits of pink/brown mucus but that's it, I'm declaring the sweep none- progressive. Baby went nuts all day yesterday though, does not like being prodded one bit!

SJP3 · 20/09/2019 19:44

Congratulations @challengeyourreality! That's a lovely birth story to read, especially for the fed up of waiting amongst us! Hope you're recovering ok and enjoying all those gorgeous baby snuggles.

DustyDoorframes · 20/09/2019 22:00

Ah @BBell2 you never know!
If you really are regretting declining the c-section date then can you get in touch to ask if you can have one sooner? But it sounds like you actually know what you want, and it's just blinking "everyone" getting on your case.
Ouf, this sweep has not produced any contractions, but it's certainly made the heavy baby head pressure worse. I'm so uncomfortable!

kyles101 · 20/09/2019 22:15

Congrats @Moraxella and @challengeyourreality !! What a fab birth date your little ones have!

OP posts:
Moraxella · 20/09/2019 22:37

Omg @challengeyourreality pommeline is such an awesome name!

Puglover88 · 21/09/2019 14:06

@BBell2 hopefully things have progressed for you!

Due to continued reduced movement, I’m being induced tomorrow. A bit gutted as I really wanted this labour to be as natural and positive as possible but needs must I guess. As long as she’s out safe that’s the main thing. Just hoping it’s not a long drawn out process as even though I’m term tomorrow, I’m only 1cm dilated and baby isn’t fully engaged 😬

BBell2 · 21/09/2019 17:17

@DustyDoorframes not really regretting, still dont want the section if I can avoid, just sick of obsessing about it too - it's my favourite 3am activity!

@puglover88 good luck with the induction, I think I commented on your facbk post, the panic and worry will soon be over when you have your baby!

SJP3 · 21/09/2019 17:31

I was hoping for some baby news today from one of us! Another good birthday due to the earth, wind and fire song, September. A good disco vibe baby!

Puglover88 · 21/09/2019 17:44

@BBell2 thanks! Although a bit of a spanner in the works now is that after weeks of being in optimum position, she’s now back to back! They didn’t actually tell me this which is probably why I haven’t felt her much the last few days, I have a anterior placenta and don’t feel anything at the front! I’m now reconsidering induction as that combined with a back to back baby who’s not fully engaged seems like the perfect storm for an emcs.

DustyDoorframes · 21/09/2019 18:11

@Puglover88 Ouf so much to weigh up! Can you give it 24 hours and do a lot of ball bouncing leaning forward, leaning over the ball etc? I'm really glad they are giving you options though!

@BBell2 heh 3am frets can always take more fuel...

@SJP3 I'm hoping someone has an earth wind and fire baby too- still time! Also equinox, first day of autumn, it's a lovely birthday. Race you... (no signs yet but DC2 started niggling at 8pm and was born by 1:45, including REALLY trying not to push while the midwives raced to me, so there is still hope... hmmm...)

Puglover88 · 21/09/2019 18:20

@DustyDoorframes yeah I’m on operation try and turn baby tonight - using the ball and spending lots of time on all fours!

That’s a nice short birth with DC2, hopefully you have something similar this time around!

DustyDoorframes · 21/09/2019 19:11

Rather too short @Puglover88 - I only realised it was the real thing when it was time to push, so the MWs got to me as she was crowning!
Hopefully that back will swing round nicely- come on baby pug!

SJP3 · 21/09/2019 19:19

Oh puglover I hope baby turns for you! Fingers crossed that ball works some magic.

Dusty that's given hope it could still be tonight although I doubt it. I'm having contractions (as I do every morning and evening) but can't say they feel like they're ramping up. Currently knocking up a spicy fish curry so you never know!

yevans · 21/09/2019 19:51

@SJP3 the stop, start is the worst, isn't it!!

I'm feeling extremely down and hormonal today for no particular reason. Lots of crying and poor DH is getting sick of me snapping at him constantly...
Just can't get out of my head that I'm so miserable and not even reached my due date yet!! (39+4). Didn't expect this bit of pregnancy to be so hard to be honest, it really sucks :(

DustyDoorframes · 21/09/2019 20:03

Mmmm @SJP3 I do love fish curry! Pineapple for afters?
@yevans it's miserable! Hopefully it's your hormones gearing up and not long now.
My Mum is here which is brilliant but also not entirely relaxing, you can't win...

KnobJockey · 21/09/2019 20:46

Get out get out get out get out get out!

Currently being sick at least twice a day, barely eating, can't sit down as baby wants to be in my pelvis so kicks off whenever I sit down, and contractions whenever I sit in the loo- about 75 times a day! Can't help but think things are just waiting for my waters to break then it will be all systems go. Spent today scrubbing floors and toilets on my hands and knees, up and down stairs, whatever I could. With you on the miserable @yevans!

Aargh, @Puglover88 that changes a few things for you, doesn't it! However, back to back seems like it's possible to overcome- have you got on the spinning babies website?

@BBell2 have you made the decision yet, or are you still leaving it until the day of labour to see who's on duty?

@Moraxella congratulations! How are you finding everything?

DustyDoorframes · 22/09/2019 01:52

@KnobJockey that sounds like total grimness. Contractions whenever you go to the loo seems so unfair!!!!

I think I'm starting off here, still very mild, but been going on for a while. Debating paging the MW (as going on past history I seem to only get pretty mild contractions then suddenly need to push...) but still feels too soon. Oh the dilemmas!

pinkpig381 · 22/09/2019 01:59

Fingers crossed @DustyDoorframes 🤞🏼 sounds hopeful!

SJP3 · 22/09/2019 04:23

Yevans I'm so with you on the miserable front too. Have been fed up for ages and now overdue to boot. Had convinced myself this one would be early.

Knobjockey that sounds seriously horrendous. Really feel for you and hope it won't be too much longer.

Dusty any progress? Keeping everything crossed for you!

I thought I was starting last night - more powerful contractions than usual lasting ages. Wondered if I should bother taking off my make up before bed but no! They stopped and I'm still just sleepless and still pregnant.

It's DH's birthday today so at least I'll be distracted with that. Would be so lovely if they ended up sharing a birthday but I'm losing hope this baby will ever appear...

BBell2 · 22/09/2019 04:56

@KnobJockey I bet your are miserable, how longs the contractions been going on for?
My heads a mess over this VBB/section.
The consultant this week (doesn't help its a different one every time) has put the fear into me again about worst case scenarios. The MW I know had a section herself for a breech, I'm seeing her this week while I have prep-op but her sister told me earlier.
Been awake all night, I've developed a cold today and now feeling deflated.
