@KnobJockey slight progression in that I'm getting regular tightenings/cramps/contractions whatever you want to call them! Got worse after a walk around the hospital and I've been on the ball a lot, still manageable though just like intense period pains. Went for a wee and the propess fell out with some of what I presume was more plug and midwife has just put a fresh propess in until 8pm tonight when she'll do another examination to see if I'm getting anywhere!

pinkpig381 · 24/09/2019 16:00

Congratulations @Puglover88! Thanks

Senners · 24/09/2019 16:02

Aw hope you get to go home soon Dusty, glad to hear you are both doing well.

Welcome Jackson! This is my first baby too , I'm currently 39+1 with no early signs of labour still... No mucus plug no waters no contractions... Well I've been having cramps at night but they are more like gassy cramps than period pains then they stop, who knows! I'm still waiting ✌️

Puglover88 · 24/09/2019 16:02

@Stroan that’s good to know that this is the worst point! My belly is solid today, looks like I have a baby in there still and sitting/standing up is horrible! Oh I’ve definitely been on the pain relief today! x

SJP3 · 24/09/2019 16:08

Hope you get home today Dusty! No wonder you're feeling sorry for yourself with so little sleep and producing a baby in the meantime! Perfectly reasonable! Hope seeing the children all together will lift your spirits.

Pinkpig good luck with the pessary! Hopeful this will be it for you.

Puglover88 · 24/09/2019 16:20

@DustyDoorframes hope you get to go home today! What date was your baby born? Are our babies birthday buddies?

@pinkpig381 good luck, sending you best wishes for a smooth birth! xx

Jackson321 · 24/09/2019 17:37

@Senners not sure what is making me more nervous! The idea of still being pregnant in a week and having to be induced or going into labour! Struggling to walk with swollen feet and really bad hip pain which means I can’t get up or down or roll over! Midwife said it’s just the weight of the baby but not sure if it’s something more! Just means I can’t move from the sofa which is very dull!

Jackson321 · 24/09/2019 17:38

@KnobJockey hope everything goes well x

KnobJockey · 24/09/2019 18:07

Thanks, but not doing too well- long and short of it is baby is bobbing up and down in my pelvis, not engaging, so no sweep for me today. Feel absolutely rubbish, so I'm feeling very down ☹️

KnobJockey · 24/09/2019 18:08

Jackson the thought of still being pregnant is definitely worse than induction!

DustyDoorframes · 24/09/2019 18:14

Oh no @KnobJockey that's so dispiriting!!!!! This baby WILL come out, there's no other option, however unlikely that seems right now!
@Puglover88 birthday neighbours- DD was born at 1:35 this morning. Seems weird to think she's not even a day old yet!

BBell2 · 24/09/2019 18:15

Been in for reduced movements for the first time this pregnancy today. This is a baby who has gone NUTs everytime I've had a scan or straps prior to ECV and it slept loads. Good heartbeats and enough movement to go home, but I was expecting the usual alien like movements as soon as I sat down. Have to go back if I'm worried tonight so baby will probably have an all night party in my belly!
Sweep tommorrow and anesthetics at the other hospital the next day....I might move in till baby comes

yevans · 25/09/2019 01:38

Waters have gone with a gush! Right into DH's slippers which he wasn't too happy with...
No proper contractions as yet so off to get checked then probably back home to try and start them off!

Senners · 25/09/2019 02:25

Exciting for you yevans! Good luck hope contractions start soon for you!

I've been having some intense lower back pain since about 5pm and it's now woken me up a few times tonight, always had a bit of pink blood when I wiped after a wee. It's weird because the pain is all in my lower back and not really coming round to the front, I tried timing as it does get more painful and less painful but it's hard to track and the pain is kinda consistent... Anyone had any similar experiences? Not sure whether to call hosp or not yet, they are manageable. Just didn't expect pain like this, all in the back

IVEgottheDECAF · 25/09/2019 06:24

Any news @Senners and @yevans?

Senners · 25/09/2019 07:34

Hmm nothing still having the back pain but been managing to fall asleep inbetween them so can't be the real thing! Might call MAU anyway and see what they suggest

IVEgottheDECAF · 25/09/2019 08:02

Could be the start

Baby isnt back to back?

SJP3 · 25/09/2019 08:24

Got my bloody show this morning! Never had this with DC1!

How long before labour started for those of you who had a show?

Booked in for 2nd sweep tomorrow...

DustyDoorframes · 25/09/2019 09:04

Oh wow, lots of progress on the thread!
@BBell2 v glad the reduced movement looked to be ok. Appointment central now! Good luck with the sweep!
Wow @yevans waters drama! Hopefully it's all kicked off properly overnight!
@Senners I feel labour in my back (and none of mine were back to back, thankfully). Hopefully it will resolve itself into something shortly. Pointless pain is the worst!
@SJP3 Oooh that's something! I had a show on Sunday afternoon and gave birth Monday night (but I actually think the show "belonged" to the sweep I had on Friday). Some people get shows for ages. Hopefully not you!
We made it home about 8 last night, and decided to embrace cosleeping as I knew I’d fall asleep feeding her so better plan it and do so safely. So we actually had a really restful night with quite a lot of sleep! I feel A LOT more human (I only managed the odd half hour doze in hospital...).

BBell2 · 25/09/2019 09:18

@dustydoorframes pleased you got home and some sleep, hospitals are the least restful bleeding place I've every encountered!

Jealous of all these labour signs on the board this morning! Clary sage massage and bouncing will resume this morning. Hope you all have progress the "am I? arnt I?" Is awerful Grin

Fortheloveofscience · 25/09/2019 09:56

Morning everyone!

@yevans @Senners hope you both get into established labour quickly.

@SJP3 I’ve been losing bits of plug and dried blood for 5 days now, still no sign of labour, hopefully yours will be quicker.

@BBell2 I can join you in the “absolutely bugger all signs of labour” camp, other than the plug coming away (I assume because of the sweeps) I’ve not felt anything resembling progress. One last sweep at lunchtime today then induction tomorrow morning, really not the outcome I was hoping for. How long are you going to wait before serving eviction notice - is induction an option with breech birth or will you have to CS?

@DustyDoorframes that sounds like a lovely first night at home Smile.

DustyDoorframes · 25/09/2019 10:14

Ouf @Fortheloveofscience hopefully today's sweep will do it. And the induction needn't be too different from a non-induced birth, by then you might actually just need tipping over in quite a minor way. I had a super easy one with DC1 and I'd not had any sign of labour at all before they broke my waters (I was actually 3cm without knowing it at that point).

SJP3 · 25/09/2019 10:18

@Fortheloveofscience I'm a day behind you with the same plan... got a sweep tomorrow then induction booked for Friday.

@DustyDoorframes glad you're home and have managed some decent sleep! Long may that continue.

@Senners and @yevans fingers crossed for you both it all progresses well today!

@BBell2 it's so frustrating isn't it?! Hope you're ok and that ball does the trick.

BBell2 · 25/09/2019 13:38

@Fortheloveofscience the sweep I had this morning was last chance saloon and it barely touched the sides! No score either just a comment about the cervix begin softer, shorter and wider than a week ago Confused No inductions I'm afraid so will like be an October babe through section.

I'm fairly positive about my DC1 induction now!

Jackson321 · 25/09/2019 13:46

Afternoon everyone! My due date today but no signs! Interesting how many people on here are overdue! Very reassuring! Also nice to see some
Movement for some people! Hope all goes
Well!
