@happydays00

Snap! My in laws arrive today too. I'm not looking forward to it however, since I am bf I can slope off to bedroom to do it. And I have a hungry baby ;)

BBell2 · 07/09/2019 09:42

@dyra congratulations, Alice is a lovely name!

@itakephotos yes, we got up and played a few games and have hopped back into bed to watch TV again. My DD is 3, OH went to work saying we better not watch TV all day and made some comment about how I used to do park runs every Saturday....oh yes, when I wasnt 37weeks pregnant.

@ivegotdecaf hope your day is going on and labour progressing at last!

I was talking about it on facebk, but I had a failed ECV this week. Have a very comfortable breech baby. Struggling to decide what to do for the best. Have read up so much now my head is sore!

Fortheloveofscience · 07/09/2019 09:45

Hi everyone, been reading but not managed to post for ages, Congratulations to all the superwomen who’ve had their beautiful babies.

DECAF I’m thrilled things are starting to move for you, knobjockey hope things pick up today and you meet your baby soon.

IVEgottheDECAF · 07/09/2019 11:06

Feel like an giving up

DustyDoorframes · 07/09/2019 11:43

Too late now decaf not only can you do this- you ARE doing it!

boodles101 · 07/09/2019 11:48

Congrats to all the new mums and babies!

Decaf you are doing awesome! Won't be long til that baby is finally here!

SJP3 · 07/09/2019 12:07

Decaf we are all rooting for you! You can do it! x x x

KnobJockey · 07/09/2019 12:16

Come on Decaf, you're well on your way now- chin up, keep cracking on, you're a tough mofo who's got this! What's getting too much? You know the drill from the older kids, what helps you through the tough bits?

Megan2018 · 07/09/2019 13:26

Thinking of you @IVEgottheDECAF!!

39+2 and Nothing happening here, slightly leaky boob today and I swear I smell of onions. Don’t know WTF that is about!

Attempting to de-hair legs and bikini in attempt to feel nicer.

DH definitely nesting, he’s been to the tip and currently cleaning carpets with a Rug Doctor. I’m watching Burghley horse trials....

I would literally kill for a cold coke and a massive cake.

Puglover88 · 07/09/2019 13:49

@IVEgottheDECAF you can do it! Thinking of you 😊

@Megan2018 I’m contemplating de-hairing legs and bikini but I honestly don’t think I can be arsed to do it!

Moraxella · 07/09/2019 14:36

Megan a friend had a baby recently and said she had a weird smell following her/emanating from her that only she could smell for a few weeks and it disappeared! Weird!

Cmon decaf! You’re a pro what hope is there for the rest of us!!

DustyDoorframes · 07/09/2019 14:38

I'm meant to be going to a party and giving a speech this afternoon but I feel like total shit. Weirdly high sugars after a tried and true lunch too. I just want to watch telly all afternoon (and I don't usually want to watch tv in the daytime at all)! Not sure I've got the gumption to cancel but also not sure I've got the gumption to go...

happydays00 · 07/09/2019 16:07

@Horehound how are you holding up?! I've made the mistake of admitting I'm giving Max bottles of expressed milk occasionally so can't keep sloping off to breastfeed. My MIL just sits there holding the baby and then announces when he needs his nappy changing, or his eyes wiping etc.... I feel like responding "yeah, probably. The changing mat is just there". I'm slowly losing my mind and it's only day 2 of their 5 day visit 🥴

@IVEgottheDECAF how are you holding up?

happydays00 · 07/09/2019 16:09

@DustyDoorframes how did the afternoon go? Don't blame you for just wanting to lie on the sofa at this stage!!

@KnobJockey any twinges for you today?

IVEgottheDECAF · 07/09/2019 16:58

One baby boy 9lb1 at 4pm!

KnobJockey · 07/09/2019 17:06

Congratulations Decaf! You made short work of that once you got cracking, you star 🌟 and a good weight too. How are you feeling?

KnobJockey · 07/09/2019 17:10

Happy days, not really any twinges today until I've just drove DD to work and felt lots of period pain/ back ache waves- about 4 in 10 minutes. Hopefully it's all starting up again! Should stop complaining really, I'm not 39 weeks yet, could be another 3 weeks of this.

Puglover88 · 07/09/2019 17:21

Congratulations @IVEgottheDECAF!! I hope it was a smooth birth and that you’re doing well. Got a name yet? xx

Dipsy77 · 07/09/2019 17:38

Congratulations @IVEgottheDECAF Smile

SJP3 · 07/09/2019 17:44

Congratulations decaf!!!! Well done you!
*
Happy days* that sounds mightily frustrating! I'd still hide to "breastfeed"/watch Netflix as much as you possibly can get away with. I'm sure you'll need the headspace and they won't know the difference.

After a few days of contractions on and off (totally irregular) I'm resigning myself to it being ages before this baby comes (38+1 now). Very tired, massive and fed up and toddler now has a stinking cold and is waking a few times in the night for cuddles (sadly not co-ordinated with my night time wees).

DustyDoorframes · 07/09/2019 17:44

Yaaaaaaaaaaa y @IVEgottheDECAF !!!!! Congratulations!!! No more upduffed school runs!!! 5th and longest pregnancy OVER!

@happydays00 I welched and me and DD had a nap. There was a backup plan thank goodness.
My blood sugars are weird which is annoying as I'm meant to be skipping this week's GD clinic as they were so good. I'm going to have to ring in on Monday I think.

@KnobJockey oooh fingers crossed it's your turn now!

@Megan2018 how is your digestion?? I've been thinking of you!

Stroan · 07/09/2019 17:49

Congratulations decaf! The most long awaited baby on the whole thread! Hope you are both doing well x

Huge congratulations DECAF, so pleased for you Smile

tobeornottobe1 · 07/09/2019 18:26

Congrats @IVEgottheDECAF so pleased for you,
I'm sure more babies will arrive soon! X

Horehound · 07/09/2019 18:53

Hurray @@IVEgottheDECAF you did it! Congratulations!!!

@happydays00 actually not bad! Everything ok here. Pil descended on us with heaps of presents from their friends and family. We've just had Chinese. Baby been good as gold. Everything ok for now. When i came downstairs before pil arrived, DH was trying to give baby a bottle of my expressed milk. He hates a bottle now. Funny considering that's all he took in the first 1.5 weeks. So he won't take a bottle I can slope off and my baby is a hungry one hehe. Can you not just say you'd prefer to bf for the next few feeds for bonding? 5 days though..you saint!
