Lying on my sofa with LO snuggled up on my chest and wondering how on earth she ever fitted inside me (and she'd still only be 38+4 if she was inside!). Those of you at 39/40 weeks, you have my total sympathy! Although am currently getting F all sleep of a night - think I managed 4 blocks of 45 minutes last night. Walking zombie 😴 although I must say that lying on my stomach is bliss.

Had quite a lot of bloody show and contractions every ten min for last hour or so

I've been woken up with backache at 12 and again at 1, thinking this could be the start of it all. I've not done anything to cause backache, and it is coming and going, although not in noticeable waves yet.

Daiquiri, how's little one doing, growing well? Very jealous of the belly laying, even with the lack of sleep!

@KnobJockey all going well thank you. LO is back up to her birth weight and feeding well. Would love more sleep, but newborn snuggles make up for it (for now!). DD loves her little sister and is v gentle with her - although life with a newborn and a toddler is a bit manic!

@IVEgottheDECAF please say you have your baby now?!

Also a walking zombie here. Have the in-laws visiting for the weekend and can't quite decide if this will be helpful yet

Hopefully last night was the night it all kicked off for you both @IVEgottheDECAF and @KnobJockey. Everything crossed for you both.

@Horehound I wish I could sleep but I'm just permanently awake. I'm so uncomfortable and my back is so sore. Baby can defo start making a move now.
We're visiting my parents today. They live 2 hours drive away. That was a stupid call wasn't it? I'll be even more sore by tonight.

I have no baby yet but in hospital

Everything tailed off here about 2.30 unfortunately, but I then got a good 4-5 hours unbroken sleep, which is unheard off! Baby has found a space it hasn't explored to the right, directly under my ribs, so has popped out of my pelvis and is seeing how much of its body it can fit under there instead. Fun!

Decaf, hospital is fab news! Everything moving along?

That's definitely progress Decaf!!! We are all wishing that baby out, come on Decaf5! Final stretch!

I was very lucky that I had no problem sleeping when pregnant (except the odd, occasional night) and I miss it. I miss sleep. Another night done with basically having to hold Max permanently from 3:30 onwards, settled him eventually about 6ish, the (potty trained) toddler ran in around 6:30 with a nappy overflowing with poo. Oh joy.

Happy Saturday everyone - let's hope this weekend sees the arrival of lots of babies 🤞

I seem to have period type cramps all afternoon for the last couple of days, convinced things are happening then everything stops overnight 🤦🏼‍♀️ anyone else had this??
Due on Monday so guess I need to be more patient! Anyone else with little ones feel like they must think we're so boring atm?! Can't even sit on the floor to play and there's ALOT of tv currently 😬

Itakephotos I had that quite a lot last week, even that seems to have disappeared this week!

Just tried to walk up the stairs with a cuppa and a plate of toast while needing a wee, a crumb made me start coughing- oops! Had to laugh at myself, 34 years old and 39 weeks pregnant, trying to launch myself up the stairs before I wet myself. Managed to make it before there was a full on puddle 😂

Morning ladies!! I'm deffo going to try to catch up today.... if I can stop staring at this little face long enough
