About to do up hill school run @ 40 weeks with a two year old in tow ....

BBell2 · 05/09/2019 08:42

@kyles101 congratulations what a beautiful picture, tell us about it when your settled.

DustyDoorframes · 05/09/2019 10:03

Decaf surely that's the kind of behaviour that brings on labour???

DustyDoorframes · 05/09/2019 10:17

Those still expecting to be pregnant for a few weeks- are you getting this year's flu jab???

IVEgottheDECAF · 05/09/2019 10:40

Unfortunately dusty it did not!

DustyDoorframes · 05/09/2019 10:51

Right decaf off to the playground for you! Roundabout, see saw... get this baby out before pickup!

Moraxella · 05/09/2019 12:34

@dusty, due mid sept, but yes if offered postnatally

Puglover88 · 05/09/2019 13:44

@DustyDoorframes I’ll probably get it postnatally too. I got run down for a few days when I had it last year so wouldn’t like that in the last few weeks of pregnancy!

tobeornottobe1 · 05/09/2019 14:00

@IVEgottheDECAF I shipped my other DC away and just when I thought Ild be having a relaxing night with no kids, my waters broke Grin

Exitstrategist · 05/09/2019 14:12

Sorry to moan but I’m almost 38 weeks and the hospital still can’t give me a date for my elective c section. Say they are so busy and waiting for approval to schedule more. I’m getting so impatient and also worried I’ll go into labour.

DustyDoorframes · 05/09/2019 14:43

@tobeornottobe1 I know two other people who did exactly the same! Waved off the kids, went back inside, had a baby...
Thanks @Puglover88 and @Moraxella , I think I'll do the same, leave it til postnatal at this point!
@Exitstrategist that's stressful! Although if you do go into labour you jump the queue, right?

IVEgottheDECAF · 05/09/2019 19:19

Any more babies?

Had my sweep. Scan estimates baby as over 4.3kg so they advise induction but no slots so am on a cancellation list!

DustyDoorframes · 05/09/2019 20:25

Oooh that's progress decaf! Although do take that estimate with a pinch of salt - DC1 was scanned the day before he was born and they thought he'd be 3.8kg or so- he was 4.5!
Fingers crossed things get moving for you tonight after that sweep!!!

IVEgottheDECAF · 05/09/2019 21:33

Yes dusty i had a similar experience with dc4. They estimated over a lb under his birth weight!

I would like atleast 6 hours solid sleep! Off to bed

Megan2018 · 06/09/2019 05:18

Oh god, have had literally zero sleep-the most atrocious trapped wind pain has kept me wide awake since 1am.

It’s definitely not labour related-the gurgling is loud and can feel it moving around. It’s obviously something I’ve eaten. All the gaviscon, farting and burping in the world doesn’t seem to help. Blush

I think contractions would be a blinking relief!!

Dyra · 06/09/2019 05:43

Please welcome to the thread...... Alice! I had a little girl! 7lb 5oz, born yesterday at 1641 after a hell of a labour....

I wound up on the syntocin after the second gel. Got to 3cm on just gas and air, but then I opted for some diamorphine and things got... Weird. Basically I spent the entirety of the rest of the labour asleep, waking up only to have a contraction or to be generally incoherent.

I am quite liking the idea of sleeping through most of the labour

Woke up every couple of hours with cramps could do with a nap

DustyDoorframes · 06/09/2019 07:49

Oh @Dyra she's gorgeous!!! Welcome Alice! What a labour!

Ouf @IVEgottheDECAF surely school run today will do it (or your animal brain will keep you til the weekend and your DP is home...)

Dipsy77 · 06/09/2019 07:54

@Dyra congratulations Smile

Megan2018 · 06/09/2019 07:59

Well done @Dyra! She is gorgeous!
Amazing to do it without an epidural.

I am getting so nervous about induction now, 6 days and counting Shock
