@kyles101I fully expect to be in the epidural camp, at least if you are as far as the epidural baby must be imminent! We look forwards to the update!

Lavellan · 03/09/2019 17:27

Hah another one on the epidural train here. Decided to augment things and that drip is a beast. The thought of baby being ill from me waiting at home was just too scary. A while to wait now, but what a magic drug! Grin

DustyDoorframes · 03/09/2019 17:32

Ooh @Lavellan I was wondering how you are doing!
Hope things are trotting along for you and @kyles101 now!

Dyra · 03/09/2019 19:02

I'm not too keen on getting an epidural, but if I want/need one, I'm having one. Just have to see how well I cope first.

Good to hear things are progressing for you both @kyles101 and @Lavellan.

IVEgottheDECAF · 03/09/2019 19:05

Odd random mild contractions here and there Hmm boring

3 of my 4 dc had been born by this point and fourth was born early hours of 39+6 (tomorrow) Hmm

Horehound · 03/09/2019 19:25

Oh it's really dragging eh Decaf? Poor you.

I'm currently thinking about buying a cjixxo next to me crib. 140 on sale at Mothercare.
Cause I'm finding baby doesn't want to sleep in his cot and has been sleeping on me last 2 nights.

Anyone got one? Or tutti bambini? Although that ones more expensive.

Megan2018 · 03/09/2019 19:38

I’ve got the tutti bambini @Horehound but got it for £50 2nd hand then spent £20 on a new mattress.
Obviously untested here yet! I’d look for a used one as they grow out so fast.

DustyDoorframes · 03/09/2019 19:43

I've had a bednest for all 3 (same principle) and absolutely swear by it. I can be close enough to roll over and feed in the night, but it feels like the baby isn't just loose in the bed. Although I have friends whose babies have still preferred to sleep ON their mums regardless...

RonaldWeasley · 03/09/2019 20:00

I've got a Chicco next to me but as yet untested. It's bigger than I thought it would be but looks good from what little I can tell at this stage, it's easy to assemble/adjust at least. Like Megan I got it second hand about £60 and then just bought a new mattress. My sister had a Snuzpod for her baby and loved it.

April88 · 03/09/2019 20:04

I’ve got a chicco next to me and it’s working well so far. Jacob is bottle fed (1/2 expressed / 1/2 formula) so I get up and feed him in a chair but it’s good to have him close so I can settle him easily.

Dipsy77 · 03/09/2019 20:34

I feel so guilty I've just eaten a large dominoes ten slice pizza all to myself thought oh well I probs won't get chance again but I'm dreading seeing my post baby belly my appetite has suddenly gone sky high at 38+2 Smile

Stroan · 03/09/2019 20:53

I have a troll co-sleeper as our bed is stupidly high and it was the only one high enough. Love it, I sleep with my hand on baby but know he's safe away from my duvet. (when he's having a good night and can actually be put down...)

DustyDoorframes · 03/09/2019 20:53

@Dipsy77 you temptress! The combo of GD and weird pregnancy induced dairy intolerance meant I haven't had a proper slice of pizza in months...

Horehound · 03/09/2019 21:14

Ok thanks all. I think I will buy one (will see if I can get 2nd hand but I'm quite impulsive so if it's too much hassle I will buy new Blush)
But yeh there's been a couple of times ive had him close to me in bed and im worried something will happen. Plus if I get this I could have it on our bedroom rather than me in babies room. Although husband didn't seem keen cause it will mean he does wake up in the night but I already feel a but lonely/disconnected so I feel it's for the best!

Horehound · 03/09/2019 21:15

@Dipsy77 nothing wrong with that! What kind of pizza was it?!

IVEgottheDECAF · 04/09/2019 06:51

I have officially never been so pregnant.

That is all.

happydays00 · 04/09/2019 07:07

Oh @IVEgottheDECAF I was so hoping your baby had arrived now!!

@kyles101 and @Lavellan hope you are both getting on ok. @kyles101 that hormone drip is no joke: and you are definitely not a wimp!!!

@Horehound I've got a snuzpod / next to me cot thing and have still had large portions of the night where Max is sleeping on me. He is SUCH a noisy sleeper that I am getting very little sleep, even when he is sleeping 😂 The HV came to weigh him yesterday - he's now up past his birth weight and finally starting to chub up a bit. Cluster feeding is very real but luckily the breast / expressed bottles seems to be working for us and I can at least hand him to DH to do a bottle when it gets a bit much / my nipples feel like they're going to fall off!

IVEgottheDECAF · 04/09/2019 07:20

I know its silly to be down about it. Everything is ok and healthy and we are lucky of that. But bloody hell i am fed up

Dipsy77 · 04/09/2019 07:23

Horehound chicken mushroom and pineapple on one side and tomato mushroom and garlic butter on the other I still feel guilty now but it was very yummy Smile

Megan2018 · 04/09/2019 07:30

Perhaps you are meant to experience an overdue baby this time @IVEgottheDECAF? Just so you’ve had a different experience!

38+6 here and last night I had my first “uncomfortable” symptoms. Nothing drastic but some obvious tightenings, slight back ache and a heavy aching feeling in pelvis.
Its not lasted but it is reassuring that something seems to be changing!

IVEgottheDECAF · 04/09/2019 07:32

Well my current plan is to stage a sit in at tomorrows growth scan and refuse to move unless they give me a sweep Sad

Am i the first person who is gonna be pregnant still on due date? EVERYONE seems to have gone early

KnobJockey · 04/09/2019 07:52

Megan how did you get on with it? Feeling okay?

Decaf did you say your previous labours were very quick? So it could literally be any day and over and done with in a few hours for you?

Kyles and Lavellan, I hope it's all over for you both now, or if not that they've continued pumping you with the good stuff and you've managed to get a little rest!

Dyra, good luck today! You'll be the best looked after lady on the ward.

itakephotos · 04/09/2019 08:02

@IVEgottheDECAF don't worry due on Monday and pretty sure I'll still be pregnant then too 🤦🏼‍♀️

KnobJockey · 04/09/2019 08:07

I think I may have slowly started losing my waters during the night- I've definitely had damp pants on the 4 times I've got up to wee, and whenever I've wiped, there's been more fluid there half a minute later if I've wiped again. Only tiny amounts though, and still no sign of my plug coming away. However, the baby is definitely shifting lower and lower- I had that horrible ring of fire feeling around my pelvis last night, and I've been having irregular contractions for a few days.

Midwife today for a 38 week check, might see if I can persuade her to have a check.

In other news, I've just sent my DD off to start year 11, feels very strange!

IVEgottheDECAF · 04/09/2019 08:10

My last two labours were 5 hours each inc dc4 who was b2b.

Knowing my luck ill be over due and then have such a fast labour its an unplanned home birth and then ill have to go to hospital for a pissing blood transfusion or some crap

I am grumpy

Sorry Sad
