It’s rubbish isn’t it @45andfine! Hope you feel better soon. I stopped taking the multivitamin at about 12 - 13 weeks because I just felt too sick to swallow them and wa waiting for the sickness to pass...it lasted until about 24 weeks so I just never started taking them again! Oops x

Ginny1234 · 25/11/2019 02:28

Cramp!!! Aahhhh! Anyone else? Just woken up with massive cramp spasms in my calf but couldn't reach it properly to rub it because bump was in the way! Never really experienced cramp before so not really sure how to keep it at bay - stretches I'm guessing? So painful 😖

lovesT · 25/11/2019 06:52

@Ginny1234 i seem to get leg cramp when I stretch in bed, I just have to quickly stretch my leg the other way and it usually goes away! So if i stretch my legs with my toes pointing down I quickly bring my foot up the other way if that makes sense. But yes never had it before being pregnant!

Also feeling very frustrated this morning as all yesterday I had heart palpitations. I've had them quite a bit since being pregnant and occasionally before too but these ones have been driving me crazy 😣😣 I still haven't heard back about my heart scan and 24hr ECG which was on the 7th Nov. I assumed my midwife would have something on Friday but she didn't and my GP doesn't have anything either. I'm going to ring them today because I could sleep with them last night and I've woken up earlier than normal with them this morning, nearly every other beat at times. I just had to fall asleep sitting up on my pillow until I got too tired to focus on them.

I'm guessing the fact they haven't contacted me means there is nothing wrong with my heart but I don't know how to not focus on them 😢 they're pretty much fine when I'm moving around but I want to sleep ... hopefully being at work today will help.

Sorry rant over ... I'll ring the hospital today and see if I can find answers.

Anyone else with palpitations?

hazandduck · 25/11/2019 07:25

I’ve not had palpitations I’ve had breathlessness. That sounds really stressful :( you should pester your doctor or midwife, they can’t just leave you to cope with it! @lovesT hope it gets sorted soon x

bessie84 · 25/11/2019 10:28

@lovesT - heart palipitations here. and sometimes breathless. had tests, nothing to worry about apparently and can be quite common in pregnancy. still shit scary on days I have them bad. im not anaemic, bloods all ok too. shrugs shoulders. hugs to you. x

Ginny1234 · 25/11/2019 13:51

Thanks @lovesT I'll give it a go next time.

No experience of heart palpitations, fortunately, so can't help but it sound really frightening so I'd be pestering my GP and midwife if I was you xx

lovesT · 25/11/2019 17:12

@hazandduck @bessie84 @Ginny1234 thank you for your replies ❤️ it's horrible and so frustrating. I'm assuming no contact means everything is fine and since I've had ECGs before and no concerns it can't be anything major but it's so hard not to focus on. I've been at work all day and had none that I have noticed but I'm just sitting in the car waiting for my husband and I've had a few again, really dreading another night of them if they carry on 😢

@bessie84 I'm glad that your tests haven't shown anything and you're okay, but yes it is scary isn't it! The NHS website says they're usually not cause for concern but when your heart feels like it's skipping a beat it's not very reassuring! Do you get them a lot? I seem to get them when resting, like lounging on the sofa or in bed.

I rang the hospital today which was a waste of time unfortunately. No one knew where to direct me and then I was left with a voicemail where they said they can't give results over the phone so don't leave a message about that. I just have to wait basically 🙄 but I might ring GP if they carry on like this.

Baby is moving a lot though so that makes me happy, even when they're the strange kicks or in the bladder 😄 hoping for a good sleep for everyone tonight whether suffering with palpitations or hip pain!

My SIL sent their 12 week scan photos from the scan they had today which was amazing ❤️ so that's a happy thing.

hazandduck · 25/11/2019 23:38

How lovely! My SIL is due start of May. We had our first babies in the same year (6 months apart) and it was so nice sharing that experience together, doing baby groups etc. Your baby will have a little cousin to play with :)

Has anyone else started leaking milk yet?! I’ve had it for a few weeks now 🙈 Keep finding wet patches on one of my boobs! I’m 30 weeks on Thursday it just feels so soon..!

Annie1109 · 25/11/2019 23:40

I'm due Feb 14th
X

45andfine · 26/11/2019 06:54

Cramps and palpitations here. I was checked in one of my previous pregnancies as I was born with heart murmur, but nothing came of it. Think they just like to know so that if you need a c section they can tell the anaesthetist as they monitor your heart beat.

Also only get cramps when I stretch. Started taking my multivitamins again as I read it might be due to a mineral deficiency...?!

Feel so heavy and slow and tired. And have I mentioned tired!

Quirkyquichie · 26/11/2019 11:01

hi everyone, . its been a couple of weeks since I wa s last here, ive just caught up. 27+5 already.
had a scan last week. double checked with my consultant about inductions, they're looking to induce me at 37 weeks again, which would bring my date to end of JaNuary. less than 10 weeks left, it's going so fast!

I've got an anterior placenta andel baby was transverse. must be why I get a stitch just thinking about walking anywhere. she said there's plenty of time for him to move about yet, just the week before midwife saidhe was head down so he's all over the place. I dip do dread having to have a Cs if he doesn't turn. so fingers crossed.

Cupcakes1234 · 26/11/2019 11:28

Been for my 28 week appointment today. Measured my bump... 26 so she's booked me a growth scan for Friday even though I'm sure she is absolutely fine but better to check I'm sure

sulkysukey · 26/11/2019 18:27

Yes to palpitations! Actually I ended up in A+E after I had a near continuous bout last week that kept coming and my heart rate was also too high. They kept me in for a few hours and I had a 24 hour halter too after that (got no sleep - so uncomfortable!). Haven't heard back but they've settled since. Hope yours do too @lovesT - it's so stressful and unsettling isn't it.

Also had my first consultant appt last week, from which came a growth scan (today) and baby was a bit big so having a glucose tolerance test next week.

So my diary has suddenly become packed with appts! Hard to juggle it all with work and kids but glad I'm being looked after and will deffo be voting to save our amazing NHS ❤️

lovesT · 26/11/2019 19:02

I'm sorry that others have suffered with palpitations! But also glad it's not just me! I rang my doctored today just to see what they say and doctor said not to worry (I've had them pretty consistently for 3 days now, they're normally just a few every now and then) but they're not worried, I'm seeing my midwife again on Friday anyway because I need to give another Rhine sample to check my glucose levels.

@Cupcakes1234 I'm sure it's all fine! At least they're making sure 😊 I was measured too on Friday and baby was slightly big but she said she wouldn't worry st this stage and it will probably be different at the next measurement. They do look after our babies well don't they ❤️

@Annie1109 same due date as me! And I think @Cupcakes1234? It's going quickly .. getting close to 30 weeks already!

@hazandduck aww that's so lovely! My SIL is due in June so only about 4 months apart 😊 they love a few hours away but we will still be able to see them and can't wait to see the cousins together! It's so lovely to be able to talk to each other as we go through pregnancy together ❤️ that's so lovely that you're doing it again with your SIL!

Have palpitations continued for all of you that have had them? I really hope mine calm down soon ☹️

doublebarrellednurse · 26/11/2019 19:49

Hey all, it's so nice seeing all you ladies ahead of me, I'm at the tail end of feb so it's nice to see what's coming!

I'm really achy in my hips and pelvis now but still not SPD levels. I'm so glad, I could barely walk in my last pregnancy so this is so so different.

Baby is very active at night, I think I'm so busy during the day that I just don't notice as much but at night I'm relaxing 😌 well mostly 😖😬 am on call tonight so preying for a peaceful one !

Also. Constipation. Please tell me I'm not alone 😖

Cupcakes1234 · 26/11/2019 21:02

Sorry to hear about you ladies having a hard time. I feel so lucky to not be having any complications (all being well Friday) which I'm sure it will be. I think it's probably just her position. Glad they take these things seriously though. She's also sent my urine sample off as the last 2 times there's been traces of protein so going to get it checked to see if I need antibiotics.

@lovesT yeah im due 15th Feb. Think I'll probably go over though like I did with my first 😂🙈

hazandduck · 26/11/2019 22:18

Haha @doublebarrellednurse I had it BAD my last pregnancy so I eat bloody loads of fruit to try and fight off the dreaded constipation. I know it sounds dramatic but I remember with Dd I was once stuck in the toilet at work and I genuinely thought I was going to have to call someone to help me I couldn’t get it out 😭 absolute agony. God knows what people thought but I was so desperate to go I stopped caring! I usually only ever poop at home!! I’m on iron tablets so mine is currently a fetching shade of black 😅 grim. Such a beautiful time ay! Glad your hips aren’t too bad this time round.

45andfine · 26/11/2019 22:34

@doublebarrellednurse not since I've been consuming HUGE quantities of muesli!!! Drinking lots will also help, and if you're on iron tablets try reducing them to every other day?
And peppermint tea might help...or prunes ( old fashioned).

I'm more in need of tips for being more cheerful!!

I've bought the mindful pregnancy book to try and help, just worried I'm letting this gift of a pregnancy pass in a cloud of irritability.

sulkysukey · 27/11/2019 10:15

Anyone else's baby having loads of hiccups? Googled it which was a mistake, but discussed it with midwife, my scan yesterday was fine and I also got to speak to a doctor at the hospital about it and nobody was worried even tho baby's having them 6-7 times/day sometimes. I'm on my second episode of them today... so much to worry about!

LolaLollypop · 27/11/2019 10:40

@sulkysukey my first baby had these all the time. Was super weird!! Nothing to worry about - your baby just may hiccup a lot when he/she arrives too! My daughter used to hiccup all the time when she was little!

sulkysukey · 27/11/2019 12:48

@LolaLollypop thanks - good to know, will try not to worry as much! Smile

doublebarrellednurse · 27/11/2019 20:01

@sulkysukey my son hiccuped a lot in utero and still does 13 years later 😂

hazandduck · 28/11/2019 18:45

My daughter hiccuped daily when I was pregnant with her, weirdly it was always around the same time! Sometimes google is not your friend @sulkysukey! But I remember reading the same when I was pregnant with her and all was fine ❤️

bessie84 · 28/11/2019 20:12

Not even going to ask you ladies about why hiccups is a worry. I will not google. Currently sat with bump hiccuping. He does it often. My pregnancy app says its normal for them to hiccup?

Palpitations- still going on here. No where near as bad as last week when we had a viral bug but random heart skips. Seen gp today and she says its common end of pregnancy but has booked some bloods n ecg just to check.

Christ, woke up other night screaming house down with leg cramps, cant put weight on it now. Yikes.

Also gp gave me amoxicillin for suspected uti. I swear im dropping go bits.

I have my 32 week growth scan on tuesday, the days are dragging. I hate end of pregnancy (previous stillbirth) seriously sends me crackers.

Waves to everyone. Xx

45andfine · 28/11/2019 22:33

Not sure I've noticed mine hiccuping, but aren't they practicing breathing and stuff which must be a bit tricky for them to do when they're sat in fluid, it's bound to cause a few hiccups!?

My baby has been in the most uncomfortable position all day, I can't tell what it is, but feels like something is right under my ribs, whilst also putting lots off pressure around previous section scar. Makes me quite breathless.
