@Quirkyquichie same here. I'm not feeling much I'm 21 weeks tomorrow with my placenta at the front too. Congratulations on your little man!

Quirkyquichie · 04/10/2019 19:57

Thank you cupcakes, it feels so weird, I've never had a little man before 😆😆

lovesT · 05/10/2019 11:57

I've also been looking at prams which we decided straight away we wouldn't be buying new (sooo expensive!) but I'm on a local things for sale Facebook page which has been amazing, just this week got a Moses basket and stand and a few really cute clothes and spent no more than £20! There are loads of buggies on FB marketplace too, so definitely worth a look 😊

Quirkyquichie · 05/10/2019 16:41

Yeah Fb market place is the place to shop. I also got a Moses basket withh stand for cheap. I nearly had an electric steam steriliser for a fiver but someone beat me to it.

doublebarrellednurse · 05/10/2019 17:07

@Quirkyquichie congrats! My boy is wonderful (now 13!), I'll come to you for girl tips!

ballsdeep · 05/10/2019 17:09

I'm 22 weeks and I'm having a girl! I've felt movement from about 13 weeks so I think I've got a wriggler

Quirkyquichie · 06/10/2019 12:27

Girls are great doublebarrellednurse, although my youngest is 5, so stubborn but looks angelic, and my eldest is 11, has always been great up until these dreaded hormones kicked in, now she's hit n miss whether ill get a hello in the morning, or a grunt and daggers😂
Just told them they're getting a sibling, not told them the gender, ill keep that a surprise. Is it cruel I've told them they can pick A girl name between them😒

ballsdeep · 06/10/2019 14:36

When has everyone started buying? I saw a great deal on a doona car seat (it's from ym friend so know there's no damage etc) but feel a bit funny buying at this point. I think I'm just being silly

Quirkyquichie · 07/10/2019 08:23

I started buying about 12 weeks. But that was parts for my pram, car seat, carrycot and the moses basket, steriliser etc Clothes im leaving until a bit later on.

hazandduck · 07/10/2019 15:49

Haha @Quirkyquichie hmm my girl who isn’t even 2 yet is the same...stubborn as an ox! I do secretly love that she knows her own mind so much though.

We have bought two outfits for baby. Have had a look at a toddler car seat so that baby can have DD’s that she is still currently in! But haven’t bought one yet.

We’ve just got back from our last family hol as a 3, very odd to think next year we will have a toddler and a baby with us! We haven’t bought anything exactly for baby but we got a new sofa that’s coming in November because I want a new comfy place to lie with a newborn 😂 any excuse ay!

I don’t know if it was all the holiday food or what but my goodness my bump is humongous, DH even commented how much it’s grown this week. It actually aches!

InOmniaParatus13 · 07/10/2019 16:05

Hi all, hope everyone is well!
I haven't been on for a while as works been crazy, but I've now been signed off for a minimum of 6 weeks due to horrendous hip pain!
I have an appointment at the specialist hospital tomorrow for haematology and will more than likely get put back on blood thinners, then next Thursday I'm back at the same hospital to see maternal medicine and then the asthma clinic, fun times!

Little man has been kicking away, he was quiet this morning which had me worrying as he's usually quite active in the morning, but he's been kicking and punching all afternoon and they've been quite high up so I'm assuming he's moved!

I have bought loads of clothes for him and been gifted loads too, and already have his Moses basket. I'll be buying his pram and cot etc over the next couple months.

They want me to give birth at the specialist hospital as I'm high risk, which in itself is fine, but it's an hour away by train then a 15 min bus ride so they are probably going to have to discuss inducing me as I'm not doing that journey when in actual labor haha.

I hope everyone is doing well, I'm so uncomfortable but I just love him so much!

hazandduck · 07/10/2019 16:44

Ah @InOmniaParatus13 that sounds really tough, I’m amazed at your positivity ❤️ Hope all the appointments go well and the pain improves. I’ve been struggling with sciatica in the mornings, but sounds like nothing compared to what you’re contending with!

Ooh I’m going to look online at a Moses basket now, you’ve inspired me :) we have got a next to me that we used about twice with DD as she hated it, but her Moses basket was so overused for her first 7 months upstairs and down that the handles pretty much wore off. Best £30 spend ever.

InOmniaParatus13 · 07/10/2019 17:51

@hazandduck aww thank you! I just love him so much already, more than I knew it was possible to love someone or something, so I know all this pain and many appointments are worth it! 💙
How's your nausea now? Mine has come back of an evening, usually after I've eaten dinner!
I'm Sorry to hear you've been suffering with sciatica, I hope it eases up for you!
I got my Moses basket and stand from a charity shop for £3! I couldn't believe it when I saw the price! I've taken all the covers off and given it a wash, and it looks good as new. I'm glad to hear your daughter loved her Moses basket, people keep telling me they either love or hate them, but for £3 it really doesn't matter haha.

PixieLoo · 07/10/2019 19:45

@Quirkyquichie We got the Mothercare Edit, also bought a car seat separate all in all it cost about £450, my mum paid for it otherwise we wouldn't be able to afford it!

We found out we're having a baby girl, I'm still in shock as was convinced it was going to be a little boy! 20 week scan went great, baby was looking healthy and measuring correctly!

We have booked a 3D/4D scan for the end of October and I cannot wait!

doublebarrellednurse · 07/10/2019 20:42

20 week scan today was so beautiful and amazing 🥰

It was lovely to see our girl wriggling.

It's really interesting to see my bump development compared to my son. I've attached picture below, left is my son and right is me now a whole week further.

InOmniaParatus13 · 08/10/2019 08:00

Morning!
Aww it's lovely to see all the scan and bump pics!
Looks like the girls are catching up with the boys now too!
I'm on the train to the hospital and my wee man is kicking so hard! I love it 😍
Tmi, but today when I sit down it burns so bad down below, I will mention it at the hospital.
Hope everyone is well and has a good day!

Quirkyquichie · 08/10/2019 09:28

Hazandduck must be that girls know their own mind and if they don't want to do something then they wont. Mines at the age now where she's at school and did try it there, only the teachers arent as soft as me. If she doesn't want to do her reading, ill just put it back in her bag now and tell her im going to write in the planner she refused and she can tell her teacher why. She did A really quick u turn and will be like, oh OK ill read it then. Now she reads as soon as she gets in. Thank the lord for teachers! I could not cope with 30 of my child 5 days a week.
51InOmniaParatus13 that's crap about the hip pain. Is there anything they can give you to help you? Ive seen people with those belly supports, but not sure if they're for the hip problems?

Very nice Pixieloo, sounds like a bargain really with car seat. Im sure your mum was only too happy to help with that purchase. Seems to be A thing where baby's grandparents will buy the pram, and i think they love doing it.

InOmniaParatus13 · 08/10/2019 09:35

Ugh blood pressure is on the high side and there's protein in my urine so they are sending a sample off for investigation! Waiting go be seen by the dr now

InOmniaParatus13 · 08/10/2019 10:25

Back on the blood thinners and have to be seen again in antenatal clinic in 4 weeks, so many appointments! Also have to have a heart scan to see whether the damage from my pulmonary embolism has repaired itself.
I had my flu jab and whooping cough jab while I was waiting, damn the whooping cough one aches so bad!
Just waiting for my prescription then I can go home, yay.

45andfine · 11/10/2019 08:04

@Inomniaparatus13 how are things? Do they think you have pre eclampsia? Any side effects from flu jab? Putting mine off. Was the protein in wee a factor with your burning "seated position"??

45andfine · 11/10/2019 08:08

@doublebarrellednurse those photos of your bump are so different!!! I've heard that people say you carry differently, but you're Def proof! I'm refusing to find out what we are having BUT analysing everything I can get my hands on to try and guess unscientifically 🤣🤣

InOmniaParatus13 · 11/10/2019 09:06

@45andfine they were concerned about pre eclampsia from the first reading, but she took a second reading a few minutes after and my blood pressure had dropped down to normal, so they sent my urine off for analysis just to be safe! She did say the protein could be a sign of infection which could explain the weird burning sensation when sitting down, although that only lasted a day so who knows! I see the consultants again next week so hopefully my blood pressure will be down to normal!
I had no side effects from the flu jab, didn't hurt at all and my arm didn't ache or anything after. The whooping cough one though my god, its the 3rd day after it and i can finally start to lift my arm up without it hurting!

Im so tired lately, not sleeping well at night which I'll take as preperation for the night feeds haha. My anxiety has creeped up on me this week, so i'm off to see my dr to review my antidepressants and make sure i'm on the right dose. I hope everyone else is doing well :)

NatzCNLS · 11/10/2019 09:34

Hello,
May I join you? I am due 1st Feb 2020, this will be my 4th DD! It's been a few years since my first 3 DD arrived, youngest is 8yrs old, middle is 11yrs old and eldest is 13yrs old.
I am 24 weeks tomorrow. Baby is healthy and so so so active! I swear my others weren't this active. Anyone else got a potential olympic gymnastic growing in their tum??
I am exhausted constantly - trying to sleep but am suffering with SPD which wakes me regularly. I am putting this pregnancy tiredness down to being a full time working mum of 3 who is a year off turning 40. I had SPD with my middle daughter but right at the end. I've been suffering this time since around 17/18 weeks. Anybody got any tips on how to handle this? I've started swimming and looking into yoga classes - I just have so little free time to do this.
My physio discussed some exercises with me, but I have forgotten what she said (mind fog is incredible this time around), and she hasn't emailed me our session yet.

I have my flu jab booked for next week, and whooping cough for two weeks after. Have just gotten over a nasty cold so am hoping I don't get any side effects.

45andfine · 11/10/2019 17:24

Welcome! You're probably one of the earliest due dates on here! I'm a week behind you, but a child in front ( expecting my 5th 😯) and 5 years older! My others also much older and whole experience is quite weird for us all!

45andfine · 11/10/2019 17:26

@InOmniaparatus13 Thank you for the details. Reassuring to know that these things can be attributed to different causes and not just the big scary things. I'm becoming paranoid about every twinge and ache. Really must stop reading Google medical information.
