I haven't got a 16 week one booked either, I've moved doctors and I think it's been missed 😬 must chase it up!

hazandduck · 03/09/2019 20:26

I feel the same @InOmniaParatus13 it takes my breath away sharp jolts walking up stairs etc. Not sure what to do! Keeping knees together as you get out of the car/bed helps apparently? X

beccarocksbaby · 03/09/2019 20:32

@hazandduck I found a plastic bag on the car seat very helpful! Allows you to spin easier 😂 with your knees together.

Does sound a lot like SPD

hazandduck · 03/09/2019 20:43

@beccarocksbaby thank you that’s a good idea to try! I had it at the end with Dd but this time it’s started so much earlier. DH keeps saying I’m going to end up in a wheelchair by the end of this pregnancy! It is bloody painful!

Ginny1234 · 03/09/2019 22:14

Nice to hear about all your 16 week scans. Mine is on Thursday (17w 4) and hoping I'll get to hear the heartbeat as not felt any movement the last week so hopefully everything is ok.

Loving the plastic bag seat spin idea! Top tip 😊

Cupcakes1234 · 04/09/2019 07:47

I can't wait for my 16 week appointment on Tuesday. I'll be 17 weeks +3 days so hopefully heartbeat should be good but I'm feeling really good but not really feeling movements yet (2nd baby) so I'm just hoping everything is ok which I'm sure it probably is but this little irrational doubt creeps in occasionally

InOmniaParatus13 · 04/09/2019 08:02

@beccarocksbaby I’ve just looked up SPD and that sounds exactly like this pain I’m having 😫

@hazandduck it’s horrible isn’t it! I will try keeping my knees together! If the midwife gives me any advice later I’ll let you know, hopefully she will know of a way to ease the discomfort! X

Midwife at 11.50, hoping I get to hear my little mans heartbeat today, although I’ve heard they may not do it because they don’t want to stress you out if they can’t find it! I’m consultant led because I’m high risk, but I’ve yet to have an appointment with one, so I’m going to chase that up today as well as my blood results as nothing has been updated on the app! I don’t know my fiend odds or anything!

Pouring down with rain here and I’m loving it! Good riddance sunshine! I picked up little mans Moses basket and stand from a charity shop earlier for £1.50!! I’ve washed the covers and sterilise wiped the basket down and it looks good as new!

InOmniaParatus13 · 04/09/2019 08:03

Downs odds or anything*

S082018 · 04/09/2019 08:27

@InOmniaParatus13 definitely scan buddies!
Sorry to hear you are in so much pain ☹️ hope your appointment goes well today!
Looking forward to hearing all about everybody's appointments and also the upcoming 20 week scans 🥰

InOmniaParatus13 · 04/09/2019 10:09

On the train on my way to the midwife and I’m in so much pain I could cry! It’s all in my hips and back! I’m so grateful to be pregnant so I feel awful about complaining 😫

@S082018 thank you lovely! I really hope I get to hear little mans heartbeat today and I get some answers from this appointment :)

Pinkcat231 · 04/09/2019 11:59

Thank you @Soda123x my midwife didn’t explain anything about it, just mentioned the anti d and said I’d receive all the info in the post but all I got was the appointment letter with a weblink that doesn’t work! I’m actually thinking about changing midwives because I find her very abrasive and she made mistakes in my notes so am a bit wary of her now!

Sorry to hear you’re in so much pain @InOmniaParatus13 I’ve had a bit of this but nowhere near as bad as you yet, I hope your appointment goes well.

I think I felt the first proper kicks this morning, could even feel it on the outside! Patiently waiting for tonight so hopefully DH will get to feel them Grin

InOmniaParatus13 · 04/09/2019 12:14

Hey all!
Midwife went really well, got to hear little mans Heartbeat and he kept kicking the probe off 😂
She said I have SPD and unfortunately nothing can be done really 😫
Also got told off for not drinking enough, whoops!
Got several hospital appointments coming up and also have to see the maternal mesh be team as I’m high risk!
My screening results came back 1:10,000

InOmniaParatus13 · 04/09/2019 12:21

Maternal medicine* bloody autocorrect!

PixieLoo · 04/09/2019 13:31

Good to hear your screening results came back so good @InOmniaParatus13! How long did those take to come through? I'm currently sat waiting by my phone as i got my test done yesterday, keep thinking everytime my phone makes a noise it is the hospital calling... Glad you got to hear the heartbeat too! All very exciting

InOmniaParatus13 · 04/09/2019 13:55

@pixieLoo I’ve not been receiving any letters from the hospital for some reason, so I had to wait until I saw my midwife to ask for them! I think they say 1-2 weeks for a letter if low risk, and a phone call within a few days if higher risk! I hope your results all come back good for you :) it took ages to find the heartbeat as he kept moving away from the probe, but I could feel him moving so I wasn’t worried :)

Cupcakes1234 · 04/09/2019 14:12

@PixieLoo I had my screening done on the Tuesday and I had the results through the post that Saturday morning so I didn't take long at all. Everything was all low risk for me too

S082018 · 04/09/2019 17:52

@InOmniaParatus13 glad your midwife appt went well and you got the heat the heartbeat!

I'm off to my first ever pregnancy Yoga class tonight which will be interesting! Really looking forward to it so will post about it later if anybody is interested 😊

PixieLoo · 04/09/2019 19:52

Thank you both @InOmniaParatus13 @Cupcakes1234 that's very reassuring and makes me feel more at ease!

Marleym28 · 05/09/2019 08:33

Maternity tights are a game changer! God knows why I didn't get them sooner.

InOmniaParatus13 · 05/09/2019 08:37

@S082018 did you enjoy pregnancy yoga? I feel better knowing I have lots of consultant appointments coming up and that me and little man are being really looked after :)

@Marleym28 they are fantastic aren’t they!

All I’ve eaten for the past 2 weeks for lunch is ham salad rolls, it’s become a running joke with the bakery haha!

S082018 · 05/09/2019 10:45

@InOmniaParatus13 Yes thanks it was so lovely! Looking forward to continuing with it over the next few weeks. Although I was the least pregnant of all of the women there 😂 it was lovely to meet other mums and talk about our different stages of pregnancy! I felt so relaxed afterwards and slept like a log last night yay!

All the best for your upcoming appointments 😊

InOmniaParatus13 · 05/09/2019 10:59

@S082018 I’m glad you enjoyed it and that you slept like a log after, that’s amazing! I think it’s something I may look into, as I think it could really help ease this SPD! Thank you for the best wishes :)

Struggling at work today with the hip pain, I dread to think how much worse it’s going to get as he gets bigger! I just felt him move and kick and it makes me forget all about the pain and realise just how lucky I am! I love him so much already, I feel like I could burst! 💙

bessie84 · 05/09/2019 14:51

sulkysukey · 05/09/2019 16:25

@bessie84 I'm 16+2 today and have been feeling anxious about how small by bump is - still able to fit in some of my old jeans and I don't think anyone would guess I'm pregnant. Can't remember if I felt like this with my previous 2 babies, but everyone's bodies and pregnancies are so different I reckon there must be a huge variety of sizes around this time. I'd love to have a bump your size in a couple of weeks (and you look amazing in that dress!) 🙂
