@hazandduck oh I love the smell of coconut at the moment! I’ve gone off all perfumes at the moment, they all give me a terrible headache!
Some days, like yesterday, I feel my little man moving like crazy, other days, like today, I haven’t felt him much at all! I’m not worrying as he has so much space in there he’s probably trying out different positions! I haven’t felt any kicks yet, just movement, but my midwife says I’m in for a battering with his long legs and a posterior placenta lol!

Hope everyone is well, I’m 16+5, still no bump as such but I’m sure I’ll pop soon!

hazandduck · 29/08/2019 16:04

Ah glad it’s not just me @Cupcakes1234! I’ve got my ‘16 week’ appointment on Monday when I’ll be 17+4 and I am really nervous now just thinking the midwife won’t find a heartbeat. Gah why do I torture myself with these worries!

hazandduck · 29/08/2019 16:06

@InOmniaParatus13 my daughter was like that. She danced around CONSTANTLY! Weirdest but nicest feeling ever!

Has anyone else been thinking of names?? We have a favourite boy name but cannot agree on girls. I love Cleo (Clementine) and in my head the baby is called that but DH is not convinced. He doesn’t really love any girl names! Hopefully it’s a boy and then we don’t need to worry ha x

Dweebette · 29/08/2019 21:13

Hi everyone! I took a little break as everything was just getting to be too much and I needed to switch off. Feeling better now at 14+1, nausea seems to have passed finally and I'm able to stay awake past 9pm so all good!

So lovely seeing some bump pics, it was just what I needed as I feel like I am massive today. It's not so much of a bump as just general hugeness. None of my clothes fit, having daily meltdowns trying to find something to wear. I did get some over the bump jeggings from asda (they're £10) and they are fab, definitely recommend! Finding maternity tops don't sit right though but non maternity is all too tight so I'm in a horrible limbo currently.

@hazandduck we talk about names all the time, keeping a list of any we both like so we can narrow it down later. Lots of girl options but only 2 boys so far, finding boys much harder!

InOmniaParatus13 · 30/08/2019 08:45

@hazandduck cleo is a lovely name! I’m sure you’ll find something you both agree on soon! It’s so weird feeling him move around it’s so surreal, like my god I’m growing a person haha.

@Dweebette I’m glad your nausea has now gone, here’s hoping it stays away!

Just spoke to the midwife and she has rebooked my 16 week appointment for next Wednesday, I’ll be 17+4. She’s very annoyed that the sonographer didn’t change my due date on my notes so she could include the Nuchal measurement, it’s one of those things though can’t be changed so no point stressing!
This little man of mine loves crumpets and banana milkshake haha, it’s all I seem to eat and drink!

Cupcakes1234 · 31/08/2019 07:11

Is anyone else really struggling to sleep on their left side? I have my dream genie pillow but I always end up on my other side as I find it more comfortable and I've woken up on my back a few times too

Soda123x · 31/08/2019 08:44

Hi guys. I'm 14+1.
We have chosen our names . We too couldn't decide on a boys name at 1st so we downloaded an app called Kinder. You link it with your partners, swipe left or right on names you do and dont like and then it tells you when both have a match. It's great xx

Pinkcat231 · 31/08/2019 10:35

Lovely to see everyone’s bump and gender scans, can’t believe how quick the 20 week scans are approaching Shock

I’m currently having a bit of a panic as I have rhesus negative blood so have just received my anti d letter, anyone else have this problem?

Thanks for the app suggestion @Soda123x off to download that now!

sulkysukey · 01/09/2019 10:09

@Cupcakes1234 yep - I keep sleeping on right/back although try and get back on left once awake. Just bought a big u-shaped pillow so hopefully that might help, but I think it's only the third trimester that it's most important, so I'm trying not to worry myself about it until then. Hope everyone's having a good weekend Smile

Soda123x · 01/09/2019 16:51

@Pinkcat231 no problem. Hope it helps :)
I'm also rhesus negative (already knew this from being a blood donor). My midwife explained theres nothing to worry about they do the Anti-D injection at 28weeks as a precaution xx

hazandduck · 01/09/2019 17:52

I switch between right and left. Really struggling with sciatica and pelvic pain though :( What pillows would people recommend? I must buy one!
Is it not ok to sleep on the right side?? I thought just on your back wasn’t allowed!

How is everyone feeling? So scary how fast time is going and how soon 20 week scans will be here!

lovesT · 01/09/2019 18:34

I recently bought a pillow because I dont feel comfortable on my tummy anymore and sleep on my left or right side but this supports me really well and is so comfy! Would recommend it 😊

www.preciouslittleone.com/product-information/55/28671/cuddles-collection-5ft-body-baby-support-pillow-bright-spots/

They have a few others, it took about a week to arrive but so comfy! (It's a long 5ft pillow) I'm pretty sure it's only sleeping on your back you should worry about and it's not such a concern yet!

PixieLoo · 02/09/2019 12:28

Is anyone else struggling badly with hay fever? I didn't even get much of it before getting pregnant but I haven't stopped sneezing and coughing for weeks! Does anyone know what you can take for it when you're pregnant? I forgot to ask at my midwife appointment. We got to hear the heartbeat at our 16 week appointment (despite only being 14+6!) it was magical, and very emotional! My bump is huge, we told DH family and I think they already knew from the size of me!

beccarocksbaby · 02/09/2019 12:44

Most anti histamines are ok ! I take Benadryl

hazandduck · 02/09/2019 12:57

Thank you so much @lovesT I’m going to order one today! Just back from the midwife and heard little one’s heartbeat galloping away. My daughter was very confused 😂

hazandduck · 02/09/2019 13:00

@PixieLoo promethazine is ok, think that’s an antihistamine! I’ve been taking that for nausea be warned though it makes me majorly sleepy. Aw that’s lovely you heard the heartbeat, did it sound like a galloping horse or a train? (Old wives tale about trains being boys and horses being girls!)

PixieLoo · 02/09/2019 13:24

@beccarocksbaby @hazandduck thank you both! I will take myself to the chemist and get some!
The heartbeat was more like a train I'd say, chugging away! It was bang on 140bpm. We were so happy to hear it 😍

hazandduck · 02/09/2019 13:32

Aw how lovely! I don’t know how fast mine was actually? I’ve been sat comparing my daughter’s recording from 2 years ago to the baby’s. I can feel him/her thumping away in there today. Can’t believe I’m 18 weeks on Thursday time is just flying x

aib500 · 02/09/2019 16:13

Me and my partner don’t match on anything.

S082018 · 03/09/2019 13:16

Just checking in as it's been a while 😁 how is everybody doing?

I had my 16 week midwife appt today (although I am 17 weeks today). Heard the little man's heartbeat again which was wonderful ❤️
Counting down the days until my 20 week scan! Exactly three weeks today 🥰

PixieLoo · 03/09/2019 13:56

That's lovely @S082018 I can't wait for our scan, not had the appointment through yet but only 16 weeks pregnant today! I went for the quad blood test screening today so anxiously waiting for those results. I'm just hoping for a healthy happy baby which I'm sure we all are! 🤗💖

InOmniaParatus13 · 03/09/2019 14:28

@S082018 my 20 week scan is exactly 3 weeks today too, how weird is that 😂

I have my 16 week appointment with the midwife tomorrow, although I’ll be 17+5, I’m hoping I get to hear little mans heartbeat! He was going wild with movement yesterday it was amazing 😍

Hope everyone is well!

S082018 · 03/09/2019 17:10

@PixieLoo maybe contact your midwife to chase up your appointment! My 16 week appointment was booked in at my very first midwife appointment. And today my 25 week appointment was booked in and confirmed for October. No harm chasing! Fingers crossed your results come back ok 😊

@InOmniaParatus13 how strange! What time is your 20 week scan? Mine is at 11am.
Midwife asked me today if I've felt movements (which I haven't yet 😫) but did reassure me that it's still early days. I'm exactly 17 weeks today so really hoping I will start to feel those flutters in the next week or so!

InOmniaParatus13 · 03/09/2019 17:17

@S082018 we seem to be scan buddies lol! Mine is 9.40am so I get to see him nice and early! I really wouldn’t worry about not feeling flutters yet, it’s still very early but I’m sure you’ll feel them soon!

I’m in absolute agony with my hips and back, it hurts to sit, stand and walk 😫 I’m hoping the midwife can give me some idea as to what it is and what I can do to relieve it! I cried at work because the lift was broken and the stairs hurt so bad!

beccarocksbaby · 03/09/2019 20:05

@InOmniaParatus13 have you looked up SPD (Symphis Pubis Disorder) sounds very much like it.

It's very uncomfortable you have my sympathies, I had it first time around.
